Hey Trish, Chic, Metqa, MMof2, Mikki, Tom, Phil, EVERYBODY! I was a way for awhile, as I felt I had nothing to truly add. I cold not seem to stay on plan, because of my darling tummy. I have gotten back on plan, but not on GLA/CLA, but plan to start. I think I will follow Metqa's lead and spread it out over the day. My tummy may like me more for that.

I've only read part of the posts, but just had to jump in. LOL Everyone is still looking good!

So what have u been up to?

Chic - Weeellll, what have I been up to LOL. Life has been busy. I am home educating all three girls now. I have two in first grade and one in 6th. That takes a hunk of time. Then my oldest (long story short) got a sewing machine needle broken off in her foot. Surgery was required to remove it, as it was near her growth joint, it had to be an orthopedic surgeon. My tummy surgeon gave up on me. She got me at 2 weeks out of 6 weeks without getting sick and said she was not going to "tweak" any more. I still find myself sitting in a chair, watching my little darlings destroy the house and simply saying, "Don't get hurt." LOL I had been eating whatever I thought would stay in my tummy, but now I have been able to clean up my act a lot. I seem to have become a veggie, as the ole tummy seems to deal with them better than meats.

What about you? What are you up to?

Omigosh....you really have been busy ADLMA. Home schooling 3- wow! The needle in your D's foot sounded painful *yikes* and sorry your tummy is doing what it's doin to ya. Hopefully things will all calm down in time for the next holidays and from there on. With all that is going on, it's amazing you are checking in. Thanks.

I am still the same chic when you left here months ago. Just trying to keep it all together in every way...LOL. I am blessed and I thank God everyday for all the good things in my life. Thanks for asking.

Hey Yall - the needle thing is on the mend. She is still on light duty. As of today, we have a new fun thing - colds for the three of them! Thanks about the home education thing! As for my tummy - I think I have learned a way for the two of us to live together! LOL!

What I've found for myself is warm water is better than cold and taking it in the middle of a meal, after my throat has gotten used to swallowing a lot, It goes right down. I had tried taking it first thing in the morning and I'd have rocks in my throat, and before a meal, I wasn't in swallowing mode. And I stopped trying to take it with Kombucha! Too Fizzy!

OH BTW, I said I might take a break cause of cost, I found two bottles of Clarinol CLA in a discount basket at Kroger last Week for only $4 each. and it's the same strength that I already have. YAHOO!

Hi everyone

I've been kinda bummed out so havent felt much like posting. Trevas surgery is coming up this Thursday so I will be at the hospital for most of 2 days. They are going to release her Friday around 7pm. He said she will be in "alot" of pain, but he doesnt want her to take any meds, just extra strength tylenol. Shes going to be on a liquid diet until her bowels are working right again. I am so worried about this surgery. He said it was very serious, but she has to have it or lose the kidney.

On top of that, the rumors are flying at work about a big lay-off the first of the year. Although I have nearly 16 years at the mine, and about 100 people under me, I will be one of the first to go because of all my restrictions with my neck injury. So much for seniority. I've been stess eating big time and am up to an all time high of 215.8. Never thought I would see the day I gained that much. Even my 18 jeans are too tight. I'm so bummed

Oh Trish, I'm so sorry! are they going to offer you any kind of severence package at least. What a stinky time to do this to you! Will you be getting cobra? It's so expensive but it may be necessary for your family.

I'll be able to draw unemployment but I wont have insurance anymore. We just took me off Toms insurance because we never used it on his . Rumor is the lay-off will last at least a year, and they said on the news that kentucky only has about 5 months of unemployment left

The standing rule where I work is if you don't hear a good rumor by noon, start one. There has been rumors of lay offs for sometime now where I work. I hope that is all just a rumor for you.

Trish - I know everything will go well with your daughter. I will keep her in my prayers. Tell me the time, and I will pray. . .whenever two or more of you are gathered in My name, there am I. I will surely be in prayer. Two of my daughters had kidney surgery on the same day, one after the other. I have a sense of what you are going through. As for the job. I don't think you will be layed-off. You may have restrictions, but you produce more that several others put together!

Metqa - Thanks for the advise. I'll try it. I want to start back with the combo, then I remember the feeling it made in my stomach. . .like it was all grouped together, planning a war against me. Oh, and with that FOP thing. Only a small portion of your contribution reaches the FOP when a company gets involved. Tell them you donate directly to the FOP. That is what I say now. It burns me up when they try to force me to promise not to let my family and friends drink and drive. Goodness!

I LIKE IT! I'll write it up, print it out and send it to them anonymously. The beef goes to the locker on the 22nd of December. They should get the letter before Christmas which will be AWESOME! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

We have tons of deer here in SE Iowa. If you click the "come visit me" in my signature then go to the last page there is a picture of the deer beer brats I made last night. I have also made deer sticks and deer jerky.
