I'm here. Did some Christmas shopping today. They have the Chutes and Ladders and Candyland games for $5 each at Wally World (Walmart). Can't beat that price. Guess it's time to pull out the Christmas decorations!

Are you kidding me? I just bought an old fashioned chutes and ladders and it was a great deal at $10. But mine comes in a wooden box and has old school pictures on it. I'll take a photo when I get home.

I've been having an emotional breakdown, what between my posts getting deleted and my mother negating my suggestions with the family and so many other confidence negating things in my life, I'm ready to give up and just be a mean hearted non-caring jerk!

It's hard being positive and chipper when you feel your voice or contributions don't count or are considered useless.

Yeah, BF says I'm getting that attitude again where I go from love humanity to hate humanity then back again.(plus I've been off my 5HTP for almost a whole week!)

I have a hard line way of showing people perspectives that they either don't see or refuse to see and it rubs people all sorts of ways. I think I've gotten more than one or two threads deleted. (sorry y'all)

It's just an avalanche of emotions from similar censoring situations hit me all at once. I'm cool. but it still makes me think twice about posting anything in controversial thread topics or anything of significance that people might disagree with.

BTW I might have to stop taking CLA for a while. I'm thinking of trying to lose some pounds plus think I don't want to buy more supplements than necessary for a while with the budget like it is. I dunno.

Got2Luv. That's an awesome cartoon. Knowing me I'd let the scale slide off and hit me on the head!

Happy Tuesday to Y'all!

Now you can stop that crap right now!!!!! You? Considered useless? BULL $#!T. Let me explain something to you my dear friend. Your contributions do count and mean alot to me and everyone else on this thread.

Metqa, consider yourself USEFULL! Cause WE say so and no one else matters.

Butt chewins' over.

Metqa I hear you about attitude. I came down with a work related attitude a few weeks ago. I became super mouthy at work, more so then I ever had been in the past. It's a wonder that I wasn't fired because I wasn't holding anything back. I was down right nasty. I was tearing in to people because they ask me stupid questions. I know, I know. It's hard to belive but it's true. It took a talk with a good friend about the reason for my attitude to help me realize that things do happen for a reason. I knew that but it took hearing it from another person to help me realize it. My attitude has calmed since and I feel better about everything in my life. Anyway, enough about me...

What can you do to relax? To sit back, relax and enjoy life. This time of year I like to turn off the lights and listen to classic Christmas music. None of the modern stuff, I'm talking old school. Gene Autry style. For some stupid reason stuff like that makes me think life ain't so bad after all.

Just know that you are loved here on this thread, and I do think I speak for everyone. Your thoughts and post DO matter to us.

besides, you don't really want to be a mean hearted non-caring jerk like me do you? I didn't think so.

Take care my friend! Big hugs to you!

Trisha....We don't do as much decorating anymore since we downsized our home but I'll try to take a picture of our tree and post it when we get it all done. Wouldn't it be fun for us all to take a picture of our trees this year and post them to share with each other?

Thanks for the chewing out Phil, and thanks for the anecdotal perspective. I think I often get this way when I'm away from my friends for too long. And to think I used to feel that ALL THE TIME! I'm so much better now for having my BF, friends and folks at Low carb friends, and especially all of you here at this thread. I don't have to prove anything to people who chose to be friends with me.

Y'know who's good this time of year? Guaraldi! Vince Guaraldi!!!! IF you've every listened to Pandora interet radio, try making a Vince Guaraldi station and you will be so mellow and relaxed you'll melt into your chair.! I'm listening to a song by Jo Jones right now. Go Try it. It's Pandora.com. You sign up with your email and a password. Choose and artist or a song you like and it will find other artists and songs similar in style and make a radio station based off of it. It's really innovative.
Time for a cup of hot tea. . . and my electric blanket.

thanks Chic. the days getting better already.

Chutes and Ladders? Yeah, It's really cute. Here it is. It'll be a couple of years before we can play it, but I had to get it cause it's so retro and so fun and age appropriate and educational. It's awesome! I wish I could find Snakes and Ladders, though. that would be So Cool!

Cool! There was this co worker that used to change the theme of her tree every year. Like one year it would be all snowmen, then the next it was all gingerbread people. I WISH I could afford to do that! If I did, there would be no $ for anything else. It will be fun to see who participates!

We went with a western theme this year. Hailey wanted to use her little Christmas tree so thats what we went with

Our fireplace. The munchkin Hailey sleeping on the couch
Outside decorations
Haileys tree
Our angel tree topper. My grandmother that I named my daughter after (Treva) loved cardinals. She passed away a couple years ago at age 94. She had hundreds of cardinal things in her house. I see a cardinal now, and I know its grandma saying hello and she is well. We were thrilled to find this angel tree topper with a cardinal on it to remind up shes always with us . Angel tree toppers have always been a tradition in our family

last one is Hailey checking out the penguin snow globe

Ahhhhh!!! I really like cardinals too! I have one cardinal ornament that is very sparkly, and when a light shines on it, it's absolutely beautiful. I love those blow up snowglobes too. They NEVER had decorations like these when I was small. They were all just the round glass balls and for outside, red ribbons and retro Christmas lights! I like those tho. They are the brightest without having a circus look to them like the new style lights. Apologies if anyone has them, but i don't care for them. I gotta get things going with my tree.....will post it as soon as it's finished. Don't know whether we will buy a fresh or fake tree this year. If I get a fresh, I'll probably wait so it doesn't become a hazzard by the 25th. Thanks for posting your decos Trish!!!

Can't see it very well, but it is just a 3 footer in the TV room . The only gift it has under it is the new granddaughters. I love the clear lights and ornaments and
<-----with this color ornaments too.

Since hubby insisted on a larger tree also.

Sorry I forgot to shrink.

Pretty trees! Thanks for sharing them too Kimlou.....I like how you stick to a color theme. I'm getting excited! I don't think I was as motivated to decorate last year as I am this year. I guess I was exhausted from our move. You guys are making it fun!

I know the economy has a lot of people down. I'm consciously working against that by keeping things simple and having gratitude for the things we do have in our lives.

Treva just called from the mall where she took Hailey to see santa. They were next in line and she was so excited and santa closed the line to "go feed the reindeer". Hailey is heart broken. He wont be back for an hour. She was trying not to cry on the cell phone. She sounded so pitiful *sniffles*

chic, cant wait to see your tree. We are really excited about decorating this year since we have hailey here . This is the first year she really understands santa. We are trying to find a video for her to show the real meaning of Christmas. Anyone have any suggestions a 3 year old can understand?

kim, pretty trees, the first is the same size as ours. I'm sending you lots of Christmas Cheer !!! I'm trying to stay positive and upbeat even though I am super stressed about Treva's surgery coming up

Hi lucki, metqa !!!

Awwww....Poor Hailey! As a mom, it really takes a lot of work not to get upset with Santa after something like that especially if she had been waiting in a long line before she got to the front! <<<Think shoe flying in the air as Santa and his helpers are walking off.>>> I also hope she was able to get her spot back in line and not have to wait for an hour there. I know I must sound mean...thowing shoes at Santa but I have a 3 year old too and I can imagine what Treva must have been going thru trying to console her!

Hmmm, trying to think what video would be good to explain the reason for the season. If you do find something let me know! I've been explaining to my boys that Christmas is really a birthday party with a twist....then I go into the full explanation. My 4 year old totally understands it now.

aww, that's too sad. I bet he just went to write his name in the snow.

Last day of class was cool. We had an ethnic pot luck and I learned all about Korean, and Chinese and Russian cultures and celebrations and foods. It was fun and I'm so stuffed full of yummy foreign foods. I'm gonna blow up like a derregible!

Cool Metqa!!! That must have been fun and yummy! I enjoy tasting new foods. One time when I was laying over in Hong Kong, we went to this place called the International Buffet. It was AWESOME!!!

I'm much better. Thanks. Still not back on schedule but gaining my home perspective again. This song kept going through my head . . .

"Na na na Naaaaa na naaaa na, I'm wanna start a fight. . . ." but there was no one to fight with so I went home and got into my electically warmed bed read a book and went to sleep. I slept all night. I think I've been deprived. I've been lovey dovey all day.

My plans this weekend are to cook a lot. I got some salmon, I'm gonna have sushi, make some Linda Sue Dishes and Shop at Big Lots with BF, and maybe buy another houseplant

Hey Trish, Chic, Everyone!
