I would like to experiment with AVC and other low carb veggies.

Maybe putting them in a container with AVC and letting them marinate in the Fridge.

I did feel VERY full after eating those last night.

Any other ideas?
One of my favorite ways is to use it with cucumbers and tomatoes...I just sweeten it with a bit of stevia. Sometimes I add in a bit of dried mint

I really enjoy it with jicama and cinnamon....the jicama has the apple texture and the acv gives it the taste

It makes a good marinade for pork roasts (I add a bit of soy sauce)
It would probably also do well for chicken (I'm thinking of trying that and adding some spices such as oregano or basil)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE it in coleslaw and broc. slaw.....I make it with home made coconut mayo and acv and a bit of stevia

I also really enjoy it with tuna. I use a combo of acv and evoo to moisten the tuna as an alternative to mayo
This works really well on canned salmon...(especially if there is a fishy taste ..it helps cut down on the "fishy" smell/flavor....similar to how lemon helps)

I've combined it with a bit of sf pancake maple syrup and brushed it on broiled salmon (when salmon is almost cooked)

I combine it with heinz one carb catsup, a bit of hot sauce, & stevia for a low carb bbq sauce

I found 2 dressing recipes online that use acv at recipezaar
(I haven't tried them yet but they look tasty)
I've used the goddess dressing to dip raw veggies in

POPPY SEED DRESSING:
1 egg
1/2 to 3/4 c. splenda granular or other sweetner
1 tsp. Dijon-style mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. cider vinegar
1 tbsp. instant minced onion
1 c. salad oil
1 tsp. each poppy seeds and sesame seeds
Put egg, sweetner, mustard, salt, cider vinegar and onion into blender container or food processor fitted with steel blade.
Turn motor on. Very slowly add the oil to make a thick, mayonnaise-like mixture. Fold in the poppy and sesame seeds. (If you do not use blender or food processor, put all ingredients, except oil, into bowl. Use whisk or electric mixer. Add oil very slowly to make a thick dressing.) Makes 1 1/2 cups dressing

Goddess Salad Dressing
Ingredients
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup toasted sesame oil

7 green onions, whole (scallions)
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 bunch parsley, with stems (this would be about 4 cups chopped)

1/2 cup water (more or less, to taste)
Directions
1Combine all ingredients except water in a food processor or blender, blend well.
2Add water a little at a time, until the dressing reaches your desired consistency.

OMG THANK YOU to whomever told me to go to the Bulk Barn - I got the Bragg's brand!!
I'm sipping on it right now as we speak.. umm.. *yuck*! LOL I have to hold my breath and plug my nose - then take a drink.. I followed someone's advice - 3 cap fulls in 16 oz of water.. I took a sip of that and I couldn't drink anymore so I added 1packet of sugar twin and a capful of Davinci's caramel........ still not the best, but I can get it down.
Problem is though, I think I have *issues* with sugar twin and davinci's and stalling.. anyone have any other ideas of getting it down.. I don't know really what else there would be? Maybe I'll take it in a shot glass - half ACV, half water...?
BUT I had heartburn before I started drinking this concoction and low and behold - it was gone immediately! LOVE IT!

I'm on day #3 and my energy level is probably tripled! Thank heavens! I have not had the nerve to hop on the scale, but I do know that the first two days took a lot of water out of me...phew!

Could it be the ACV? Could it be the fact that I dropped EVCO out of my diet? Is it a miracle? Who knows, but I'm going to keep taking it.

By the way, I take 1 Tbls. in about 4 oz. of water, chug it down and follow with more water. Certainly not great tasting, but doesn't gag me either.

I heard it is best to cut back on dairy with Apple Cider Vinegar of any sort...well I am down to some cream in my coffee in the morning..my drug! But I may be willing to kill that if I am seeing results.

I would not be able to drink it in a full glass of water . I use 2tbsp in about 4oz of water add a couple pc. of ice a small wedge of lemon and a dash of Stevia or splenda (whichever I'm closer to) and then I gulp it down through a straw so it doesn't wreck my teeth and it's gone and not too unpleasant at all.

This is my 3rd day and this morning I had dropped 3lbs. I can't say if it''s the ACV or what but I'm going to continue with it. It can't hurt .

I've been mixing mine with Crystal Light tropical punch, barely detect the taste.

I'm on Day 2.

I make a lemonade with mine. I take a 64oz. jar, add 1/2 lemon and 1 shotglass full of ACV and stevia. It's very tasty.....especially on hot days.

I'm not sure about adding to soda......

does this change anything? Does it mix well with citric and phosphoric acids?

I'd research that first if I were you......

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to pop in here and say that every day, I tell myself I'm going to go through this whole thread and learn what all the excitement is about.

Well, it's now 5 pages long, and I still haven't gotten to it. (Maybe tomorrow...for now, I'm supposed to be WRITING, and I'm being a BAD GIRL by letting myself get distracted with LCF. [Aspiring novelist here.])

Anyway, I've skimmed some posts here and there and I can't wait to read everything...sounds like I'm going to be adding this to my shopping cart soon.

I'm doing the same thing with the coconut oil threads -- sometime, when I feel like reading the jillions of posts about it, I'll see what it's all about and decide if it's for me.

People need to stop posting before I fall even further behind, LOL!

Fawn, you little voice of reason, you! I did think of that. You make a valid point. I'm not sure that it would be all that different than mixing it with lemon and sweetner??? I will continue this way for a few days, and then work my way up to trying it with water. I do enjoy your posts very much. I appreciate you sharing your research here!

I bought some yesterday at Kroger. It was cloudy and said to have the mother in it. Funny, my mother wouldn't fit in my bottle. LOL. I'm going to give it a try, the apple cider vinegar diet use to be pretty popular when I was a teenager, my Mom did it but don't know if she lost any weight on it.

I picked up some ORGANIC UNFILTERED APPLE CIDER VINEGAR at Trader Joes today. Is that what I am supposed to take?

I also have a Heinz bottle but I think that one might be all junk and not the healthy one?

Can someone guide me here, please.

I'm still gagging to try and get this down.. BUT I am down 2 lbs from yesterday...... I will keep this up! I'm going to try and mix it with the S/F KoolAid and see if that's better..
I was going to do as suggested and mix with a bit of baking soda to get rid of the bitterness (will it?) but I don't know how much to add and also wouldn't that just be really salty and kinda defeats the purpose (being a diuretic and all?) .. Sorry I'm green and have no idea what I'm doing with this ACV.. lol

I'm doing good with 1 tbsp ACV (with the ooglies ) a few drops of stevia and 4 ounces of cold water. It's not bad at all.

Question: Anyone know? if I save the mother from my Braggs and add it to a jar full of apple cider, can I create my own ACV? (I have lots of jars from making kombucha in the past).

Beginning of day #4 with ACV and #5 of no ECVO - I finally got the nerve to get on the scale and I'm down 2.5 pounds, so I'm 2 lbs away from getting rid of the 4.5 lbs. I gained in the 2 1/2 weeks I was on ECVO.

I'm almost positive it was water weight, but I'm glad to be finally losing the bloat!

I have to remember to add the vinegar to my bottle of water. Do any of you know if it needs to be refrigerated after opening, can't find anything on the lable of my bottle. If I could let it sit on the kitchen cabinet I would remember it but I try to avoid the refrigerator, know what I mean? So I 4get about doing it alot of the time.

So, can't remember, is it 1 T three times a day or 1 t. three times a day? There's a big difference between the two of them. LOL

ACV can be un-refrigerated and last 3 years. No harm to the veil of the mother!
