Hmmm...that could def be it!

I haven't had my TOM for over 12 months (I had the Mirena IUD and had stopped getting my periods) This is the first time since I was 16 that I haven't had hormones in my body (with the exception of my pregnancy)

So I'm just getting used to a real Aunt Flow!!! Awful...god awful! Forgot what this was like! HAHA

I hope I keep rolling, Enola!! Was at 205.0 this morning!! Actually waited a little while, tried "go" again, I SOOOO wanted to see 204, but didn't happen and I needed my tea!!!

Another possible benefit of ACV? My allergies are about nil so far this year. My son and I both suffer about the same and he's been on his meds for over 2 weeks and me? nary a sneeze!! I finally got off the prescription steroids last year and just used the OTC stuff. It will be wonderful if I can handle the season without any meds at all!!!

So I am down a total of 3 pounds since I started ACV on Tuesday. I am going to continue...I am in a wedding in June...and another in July. My goals are to be 150 by the June 12th wedding...and 140 by the July wedding. I weighed in at 157.4 this morning! So they are tough goals...but I'm pretty determined!

We will see!

I am watching this thread and you, too, Jen and LC13! My daily schedule is a bit hectic right now, but I've got a bottle of good ACV just waiting until things chill a bit and I can get on a schedule.

My grandfather used to drink ACV every day, though I don't know what kind. That, and Aloe Vera Juice. He lived to be 93 and was quite healthy until he fell and broke his hip. I will give this a try later in the week afer I finish reading all the posts.

Today is exactly one week from when I started. Down 3 pounds...after a 4 week stall. So we will see what next week brings!

I am up to 2 Tbs 3 times a day.

I'm up two pounds now due to: No ACV Saturday/Sunday, allergies then kicked in like a ton of bricks Sunday, helped my sister move/clean/paint = Tylenol and Aleve, no exercise since Friday, monster heat the last few days, and to top it all off TOM a week early... Not discouraged, just...

I REALLY wanted to be back at 204 by my 100-pound anniversary on Sunday....crossing my fingers!

Okay, this thread was a littel bit long...Does the label of the vinegar state whether or not it contains the mother or do you have to guess by the cloudiness?

Yes, the Bragg's brand I have says "with the mother" right under the "ACV" but that's the only brand I've seen. Everything in the previous posts says it must have the mother to be beneficial.

Spectrum also makes ACV with the mother and I think it states that on the bottle.

Cool and refreshing way to get ACV without the funky taste. Raspberry sf snapple, raspberry sf Torini's, 2 tblsp. ACV, ice and topped off with club soda. Yummy!

after reading thru this thread it seems to me, most are using Braggs ACV...it needs to have the mother culture to be effective and the regular store bought kind will not work. I am new to the ACV routine...I recommend reading the entire thread and forming your own conclusions. Good luck!

Down another pound! I can't believe this. It's been 8 days...for a total of 5 pounds lost. I just can't get over this.

I am using Bragg's. 2 Tablespoons in 4oz of Crystal Light lemonade 3 times a day.

Well, since I live on the edge of the world I can either by Braggs at the highly overpriced health store in the almost empty mall or Spectrum at the grocery store. So I buy spectrum. BTW everyone here calls the one in the mall a health "food" store but it actually has very little food and a cooler full of coke products!

Add a little Quercetin to your regimen this spring and you might just slide through the whole season!

Congratulations on your weight loss and congrats for seeing the benefits of such a valuable booster food.

Quercetin? Never heard of it. How much do you take and what are your results? My husband has terrible allergies...is that what you use it for?

Thanks Fawn! That was recommended to me by the health food store, quercitin and olive leaf. I've been taking just those two on bad days. I do believe the olive leaf is helping more because that one I can take alone and notice the difference. I also walked out with a chewable for the worst times and that seems to help too. It contains chamomilla, echinacea, allium cepa, among others...

Now more on the weight loss: NEW LOW OF 202 THIS MORNING!!!! And it was 202.8, it was 202.2!! That makes 28 pounds down since 1/1 and 10 of that since starting ACV 25 days ago!!!! ONEderland next week??!!!!

Two of my sisters have now picked up a bottle. Need to call and find out how they like it...

They control my allergy symptoms. No wheezing, itchy eyes, rarely a sneeze.

Two years ago I was on prescription medicine plus OTC. Last year decided I wanted to get off the prescriptions and just managed with OTC meds...I managed but not so well. This year I wanted to get off the meds completely so I asked at the health food store. Her first recommendation was the Neti pot (pouring water through your sinuses with a spouted pot of warm water...no thank you) then she pointed to me the quercitin, olive leaf, and I picked up the chewables too just in case. As I said above, the olive leaf seems to have the most effect. I've only reached for the chewables three times Sunday and Monday and I believe that's directly related to not having the ACV from Friday night to Sunday night.

The price is about the same as the name-brand allergy meds but to me, TOTALLY worth not having those chemicals in me...and they WORK!!

It's just a standard supplement. The olive leaf is labeled with the local health food store label. Says "Standardized olive leaf 500 mg, 12-16% Oleuropein, 60-80 mg per capsule" Same with the Quercetin, 500 mg.

Thank you! Yes, I'm done closet shopping now, will need to buy all new with the next size down!

Just drank my first cocktail with the ACV. Wow, I guess this is an acquired taste. I usually like vinegar, I mean I chug the juice from the pickle jar, but wowzers this was strong! Mixed it in with some iced tea and the juice of half a lemon and by the time I got to the end, it wasn't too bad. For me, the key was getting the drink very cold.
