zits:

I have had maybe a total of 100 zits throughout my entire life.... most of them as an adult.

I have had 5 of them since last Thursday (I started ACV on Tues I believe..) and one of them has taken over the entire left side of my chin.

I downed a tsp of baking soda in a glass of water earlier today, my tummy was NOT doing good... so I have to slow down just a tad on the Anti-candida protocol. the baking soda helped a LOT.

I also read that eating sauerkraut will help with an acidic or alkaline tummy.

HTH!!

dang! is that why i have twin zits on my chin, with a triplet on the way? i've been on an acv trip since i got back from vacation.
i did make hot tea (trader joes' ruby red chai) and added acv and stevia- it was delish! kinda like that tang/ice tea mix my mom made for us when we were kids.

Heya Jane,

You are doing great girl! Keep on going! You can do it, you really can!!

As for me, well, tomorrow is a new day, right?

I understand what you mean by "ADD" with all the tweaking and supplements. <sigh> It gets very overwhelming for me and I just give up and have to start over. It so complicated and I want it just to be simple!! KWIM?

How is the ACV doing for you today?

I just started on the ACV today. My wife made me a drink with crystal geyser, Davinci's syrup and a few drops of stevia. I plan on sticking with this and will let you guys know what happens. I take it for the health benefits and it is suppose to be great for those of us with Yeast Overgrowth.

I hope no one is taking an acv pill. I was reading an article where a woman's throat was burnt when the pill got lodged in there.

When I consume it I make sure it does not touch my teeth at all, too. Eventually it can break down the enamel. It is good stuff but one has to be careful. ACV can be quite harsh!

For those of you that are having skin problems. CO is great, so is jojoba oil. But for the nasty ones, TEA TREE OIL. This stuff stinks a bit, but it gets rid of them quickly. My teenage kids use it all the time.

Hey MG - how are you doing? Do you still need to lose any weight? Your picture looks great. How much have you lost since you started? Do you still make your homemade breads (if I remember right)? Sorry for all the questions I am quite confused about all I should be doing, and also, want to keep it simple with no temptations around me..it's really hard. I am doing acv and coconut oil, are you doing those, and, if so, how much? Have a really good day!

Those 3 things are all I have in my cabinet, and they are all my best friend this week. (I tossed out hundreds of $$ worth of stuff last spring..)

Do know that I had TOM last week, perhaps the timing was bad for me... it took a week for the one to get to the surface, like a volcanic eruption.... even my baby would stare at it and poke at it wondering what it was.

The upside is, once this yeast is gone, chances are it will not happen again if I continue with my WOE

I'm considering getting some small bottles of water (16 oz if I can find them) and taking the bottles (drink once, refill many) and using that to measure my water for the ACV.

I typically drink two 1.5 liter bottles a day, so I'm not sure about adding the AVC and sipping it all day long.

Wen - I'm sure there are many suggestions out there for you...lately I have taken my 32 oz water bottle, put in chrystal light, 3 T. ACV and a little stevia and sip that. Don't know if that is totally the right way, but has worked for me the last several days.

Heya Jane,

Thank you!!

Yes, I have 50# more to lose and I've been bouncing around lately cuz I've been struggling with binge eating.

I've been adding the ACV to my daily protein shakes, about 1/4 cup each. I'm not doing CO right now, cuz I'm just too confused with what helps and doesn't, so I'm simplifying this.

Yes, I am still a whole-grain baker and I sell my breads. Thanks for remembering!

I really do think the ACV is helpful to me and so I will continue it. I'm back on plan today and need to get some binge pounds off. I am going to stick with SIMPLE and UNCOMPLICATED!!

Hang in there Jane, we can do this!

I think adding some into your salads is a great way to get used to ACV. I can't even fathom sipping on it all day long. Somehow, sipping it all day long reminds me of Lord Byron. I just chug my 2 T of ACV with water in the morning and 2 T in the evening. I get my other 2 T by adding 1 T in my lunch and 1 T in my dinner.

Thread jack - Karen, is when you have a nasty pimple on your face, you can just put Tea Tree Oil on it and it'll go away quick? Like do I keep applying it all day or just once a day? Info please!! lol

i bought acv and then noticed that it is pasturized. i hate the tast and cannot drink it. does the unpasturized taste like vinegar too. i don't want to go waste money if i can't get paste the taste or smell ( i did mix it with a few different things and i just can't get it dowm) so i'm wondering if i should even bother going and getting unpasturized!

The unpasteurized DOES taste like vinegar.

I add it to my protein shake and it hides most of the flavor, but it does have that little "tang."

I actually think the ACV has a strong vinegar taste, so just be aware, but it also tastes better IMO.

I think the best way to 'hide' it is in a rich yogurt with a sweetner. The yogurt helps cut the acid so you have chance to get used to it. Really, I often just take a straw and chug the 'dose' down. I don't agree with the sip all day school of thought because I think you really need to rinse it off your teeth quickly. I think it is a trade off, and I'm leaning towards my teeth on that one.

I can't wait for a day off, to get the the Health Food Store and get some. I did this years ago, and I remember when I would miss a day...I would CRAVE that ACV. I've always believed that our bodies crave what we need (with the exception of carbs). So, I am convinced that ACV was very good for me. I don't know why I stopped, but I can't wait to begin, again.

I just made a bottle with 4 servings of (8 oz water, 2 t ACV, 1.5 t raspberry davincis, 1t melted CO). Got it warm. Shook the daylights out of it and poured an 8 oz glass and chugged it.

I'm going to see how it does for the next few days and see what response I get since I'm staying induction clean this week. And, I've started back on the CLO.

I'd have thought it would curdle anything with milk proteins

Anyone else notice a real sparkling sensation on the palate when you drink ACV mixed with things like water, juice or tea? I think that's interesting. A sort of tickle-your-nose kind of tingle, almost like soda.

You want to get the unpasteurized brands such as Bragg's and Eden's.

LOL! Well, it doesn't seem to have any negative effect. I use homemade almond milk and raw free-range eggs and it works just fine for me.

I started ACV yesterday and I put a capfull or 1 teaspoon in my water glass - I dislike vinegar but with 1 teaspoon I don't mind the taste. Just drink more water with vinegar. No need to add sugar etc.

MG - wow, I'll have to try that! Can't imagine acv and eggs...hmmmm.

I have been mixing my acv in my 32 oz water bottle, crystal light lemonade, stevia, and sometimes I add one of those individual packets of orange crystal light to it. Guess I'm still trying to hide the taste, but getting better. Going down pretty good this way.
