you need to put it in a tallish glass/jar and either put a funnel in it (do not let the funnel touch the vinegar) or put some saran wrap on the glass and poke holes in it.

Whichever method you choose, the flies go into the funnel or holes in the plastic and cannot find their way back out. They LOVE ACV

I haven't seen any fruit flies in the house in quite a while. Since I started drinking this I notced them flying around my glass or the bottle.

fruit flies

OK, time for me to put this knowledge to use too! The little buggars love my countertop compost bin (I empty every week into the bin in the yard) AND they love the 1/2 empty wine bottles that Hubby just loves to leave the cork OFF of! and he wonders why his wine always has a little extra protein floating around??
I tell him Shhhhhhh! Quiet or everyone will want some!

Do they sell braggs at regular stores or do you have to order online?

why not just take according to the instructions on the Braggs bottle??
that would alleviate this issue.

Look in the organic section of your regular grocery.

I don't have Bragg's, but I found Spectrum brand in the organic section of my local Kroger's store. It has the mother in it and a brief explanation of the mother on the back of the bottle.

Hi!
I've read bits and pieces of this thread, but haven't had time to read it all...so apologies if this has been asked/answered already...

Do you keep you ACV in the fridge or in the pantry? Does it matter?

Thanks!
Katie

The only "warnings" I have seen, are people warning not to drink it straight, because it might damage the enamel on your teeth.

Other then that...I haven't read anything else.

As often as you want it's vinegar not medicine. You can make salad dressings, marinate meat etc with it also.

I LOVE vinegar and can drink it straight without a problem... I know, gross to some of you, but hey, it's my own thang! - I just ordered some OACV from Bragg's website...can't wait to start receiving all the benefits you gals discussed

I may have to try the fruitfly trap to see if the work on the &$^@!! sugar ants I can't seem to keep up with on my counter!

Meanwhile, the Bragg's instructions say take it 1-2 tsp 3x daily in a glass of water. Once when you wake up, again mid-morning, and another time mid-afternoon. It's certainly helping me to keep the bloat down and my energy up!

Wow, I missed so much on this thread. We've been without power in Ohio since Sunday when the high winds (76 mph) came through from Ike. We've NEVER experienced something like this here where I live, we usually get rain and some type of storms from the hurricanes, but NOTHING like this. Had fun catching up on my posts. Didn't drink the ACV 100% but did drink it. It's the ONLY thing that didn't spoil during the power outage. NOW i get to go and restock the frige/freezer, lost EVERYTHING, 8 large trashbags full of stuff. The upside is... I can restock with healthy things now that the junk is gone. NOTHING survived in the frige/freezer. Happy Shopping to me!!!
