MMof2 - I have a thyroid thing too, so I am gonna try it with just whey. I don't feel comfortable with soy on many levels, so I don't think I will use that at all. I figure it is all worth a try though.

Trish - It is wonderful that you have someone to share their garden with you! I luvs the fresh produce!! He must not have morning glories! Good luck with the bread! Let me know if you go on the juice diet! Thank you for the photos!

Hey Everyone!

Ive been really busy latley, work, kids, takin kid to work etc.... LOL Well the verdict from the doc yesterday will be Surgery! Kinda scared of course. But the good thing is it is a benign tumor. But he said its about the size of a lemon. They dont know why or what caused it. but we are gonna fix it. I just hope it is all over before hunting season, ( October 18 ) only because i drew for trophy area. So i guess stress is a good thing for weight loss! i weighed this am and i am down to 154. thats a 1 1/2 since yesterday! Well you all have a wonderful day!

Oh Tom i didnt know it was your b-day!

Have a great day!

mikki, add my 's to chic and ADLMA's. They are right, you have such a positive and humorous way of looking at things you will come through this with flying colors, and like you said, 1/2 lb lighter .

Michelle, where did you order your cla from? Seems like they are sending it snail mail Check out netritions 1200mg cla (I take 4 a day). Thats what I take now. The liquid cla is different from what we took before and is all oily and yukky now. Are you taking the gla (borage oil) with it again too?

pssssst....It's Toms birthday tomorrow
Awwwwwww, sorry I'm late, but Tom.

Trish - I hope you get some of the veggies from the guy at work. There is nothing like fresh ones. I made 4 loaves of zucchini bread, but they are all gone now. I gave 2 loaves away and the other 2 the kids and DH scarfed up like they hadn't been fed in a year!

The pictures are great from your vacation! I think of one of you by the tree with the Spanish moss is gorgeous! It looks like you had so much fun and I was imagining myself riding the waves with you since we aren't going on vacation this year.

Okay yall about the plastic......I was using a plastic white measuring spoon to measure the CLA and would mix it w/ some SF orange drink or whatever drink. I guess some of the CLA remained on the spoon and in the cup and the next day and after I noticed, the spoon looked liked it had melted a little and a hole had melted in the plastic cup. It looked ate up. I'm not sure what caused this........anyone else experienced this????

Trish - Welcome back, girrrrl! Can't wait for vacation pics!!! I am glad you did not plant those morning glories.

Michelle - Thank you for sharing your photos. How very proud you must be.

Chic - You already look awesome! You will feel great about yourself while you are on your tirp!!

Metqa - OK. DH went out and did a number on the morning glories. He bravely showed them who was boss around here. I spared them the vinegar drink. It is official. The disrespected us. It is time to show not mercy. It is vinegar for them!

MMof2 - Hey! Hey! Pack-Rat-Sista!

Speaking of showing something who is boss. I have decided on Monday to kick off another diet. Straight up LC does not seem to be working anymore for me. It is time to bring out the big guns, swap it up, something!

The diet is getting great reviews. I'm game. Anyone heard of it? You drink 1 soy or whey shake w/1/2 cup frozen fruit for breakfast.

Lunch - another shake OR sor or whey bar with fruit.

Suppr - 4 ozs lean meat with 2 cups steamed veggies OR
Stouffer's Lean Cousine, Healty Choice, WW's Smart Ones prepared dinners of 300 cals or less.

It is pretty cut and dry. People are reporting 14 pounds off in 3 or 4 days to start. I know some of that is water weight, but, hey I think I'll try it. Let me know if anyone has heard of or has tried it. It sorta sounds like MedFast, just a lot cheaper.
Ha, ADLMA, it was your comment about the Morning Glories that got me back in. No Mercy, Eh?

ADLMA - Hey pack-rat sista! I haven't heard of that diet. I wish you well on it. I try to stay away of soy because I am hypothyroid. I hope your hubby shows the morning glories who is boss!

Metqa - My zucchini look like they are dying off.

Chic - Enjoy your visit with your sisters and her daughters.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Momof2, I got exactly one zuchinni fruit on my plant and I didn't pick it, I think it is turning yellow now. All that work for one fruit I didn't get to eat.

I was gone on a business trip this past weekend, to DC. I didn't get cool pictures like the ones on the last page, but I got to see the Museum of Natural History.

Can having a sugar binge make you have a hangover like you drank too much alcohol?

Oils are solvents, right? that's why you can use cooking oil to remove the glue residue from things. I don't think that it is any thing to be worried about unless you are a plastic android. plastic spoons aren't exactly the most durable type of plastic, neh?

Lucki....Hey gal pal! I'm gonna go ahead and plug in your phone number into my cell right now. It would be absolutely tragic if I got there and didn't have it and couldn't find ya! I'd have to go knock on everyone's door on A-Ave!!! The plan is to get there Friday morning sometime, I think. I have not done this reunion thing before so I'm not sure how it goes. I think there is a registration day (Friday) and then a dinner and dance the second day. I'm thinking that Friday evening we can meet for dinner and Saturday afternoon sometime I can workout with you, if possible. Like Arnold might say...."Let's Get Pumped Up" for the occasion! Ha ha ha ha. Maybe Sunday morning we can meet for brunch somewhere before we head back to Tucson? Whatever we are able to do, it's gonna be a really great time!

Hope everyone here is having a great day!!!

I'm a few blocks up the street from the A Ave Cafe and i believe it is still open only on sundays!! the bbq pit however, is not something i am familiar with so i am going to say that it is not here any longer...can ya remember where it was?? Las Nubes is here, the grand cafe, the gadsden, chefs, el alamo, yogi's. You know the bisbee grill might be a good place for brunch. i will look into it.

Metqa - Sorry your zucchini plant isn't producing. I really don't know why other than it rained several days in a row and they sort of yellowed from too much water, but then it got really hot here. I did get 3 zucchini from the 2 plants I have/had. One plant seems like it is trying to live and the other one is done. I have gotten 6 cucumbers so far and today DH picked the first of our "big" tomatoes. They were not read at the tops but had a brown line around the top and we feared they would crack while on the vine. I put them in a brown paper bag to ripen fully.

Mikki - How did your appt. with the surgeon go?

ADLMA - Did you use the vinegar?
