I've got two cups of sweet tea, a cup of kombucha and two little scoby lougies floating in a jar in my hallway.

Hey Mikki,
Things have been pretty hectic here, no time to post much. I'll try to update tomorrow. I started back on the cla/gla last week, and my belly was sticking out more than my boobs lol, but just one week on the cla/gla it has shrunk down quite a bit without even dieting. I got the "30 Day shred" DVD I am going to start tomorrow so we will see how that goes. More later.......

Hi everybody! I started working with a trainer Saturday on the Body for Life program. She is showing 3 of us how to use all the equipment in the gym and then we will start the 12 week program. I also ordered the Shred DVD, should be here this week. Don't know if I will be able to do it though-my body is SO SORE from the 2 days we have done so far!
With your quick results Trish, I may have to start with the CLA/GLA this week instead of waiting to go down more in weight!
Where is everybody?? Out enjoying the weekend?? Come back soon!!

Kathy

Kathy, I quit worrying so much about the scale weight. It always catches up once the inches start coming off. Congrats on the trainer. I'm still hoping I can afford to go back to mine as soon as we get some of these bills paid off. The high gas prices are terrible !!!

We got a deal on the trainer-normal price is $180 per person for 6 sessions. We got her for $100 each for the 3 of us.(plus I'm showing hubby the whole program, so it really comes out to $50 each for me & him! ) She is taking us through all the machines in the gym, showing us the correct way to use them and how to use the BFL program. We've only had 2 sessions so far, but I'm really liking it.

ETA-I'm starting the CLA/GLA tomorrow!!

Stepping out of the shadows, . . . for a moment. . .

Hey everyone, just been lurking for a while. Really haven't had anything to say or to add. I'll drop in some garden pics once I get my batteries charged. Just dropped some wheat straw around the pots and it looks nice. Been out slug hunting, but no catches tonight, may be too early.

Trying to start a kombucha scoby, but I'm so impatient! It's been less than a week so I just have to leave it alone and wait and see if it is alive enough to grow.

gotta go job hunting again. Got the last one but it is not what it was represented as, and I need more hours than it can give me. Back to the brown-nosing!

Got a lot of stew meat on sale, leftover memorial day surplus. I should have got the roasts but I don't know what to do with such big slabs of meat. I'm afraid I'd ruin the whole thing.

Thinking about trying couch to 5K running program. Just the beginning part to get myself back to at least a little bit of endurance in running. I used to be able to sprint really well, but I could never keep up a good trot. I've hated running most of my life, and sprinting had always worked well for me so I never built endurance. I got my BF to search through our music collection for songs that are 60 sec(run) and 90 secs(walk) long so I can built a mix where the change from one song to the next tells me that I should run/walk next. Take my mind off of watching a timer. Right now it's got the theme songs to the Muppet Show, and Magnum P.I.! Most of the 90sec songs are really high key and upbeat, while the 60 sec songs are mellow or chill. It's all backwards! If I could just figure out how to get my MP3 player to play them in order, I'm set. (If I could get the cat to go with me, she'd get some exercise too! )

HELLO!!!

Long time no post. Life has been busy. I never did make it out turkey hunting because of other stuff going on. Now it's fishing season and I have been out a few times. Biggest channel cat so far is 3 pounds. I plan to break the 2008 record tomorrow...I hope.

We bought a newer van. It's a 2001 Chrysler in excellent condition. I had to fight with the dealer but he finally saw things my way. They had a 2008 dodge viper at the dealership. SWEET!!! Only 92,000 bucks. For some reason they would not let me take it for a test drive. Jerks!

Weight lose has been pretty good. I was setting at 280.2 this morning. So close to the 270's. Maybe tomorrow!

Hope you all have a great weekend. I've missed you all!

Chic-Hubbys new puppy(Gypsy) is lab + ? (looks queensland). She is a sweetie and isn't too hard-headed. House training isn't going too bad.

to everyone!

Hate my WallyWorld too Mikki!

Just completed Leslie Sansones Walk/Jog and Muscle Mile with weights and boy did I ever break a sweat. Hopefully this will get things moving for me. I am going to see an endocrinologist next week as I have a thyroid nodule that has grown bigger since I had a needle aspiration 2 yrs ago. It would be nice to get to the bottom of my slow loss and stall.
