Trisha..hi! I'm glad you remember me
I appreciate the info. I believe I will continue taking it, as I think it helps so many other things, maybe not the scale moving, but that will come...right LOL!!?! Anybody taking fish oil? I need to incorporate that back in, the omega-3 liquid stuff. I believe we get ours from Iceland Health. Hubby looks *hot*, since he is lifting and taking that stuff...really helps him tremendously. |

Denise....can you tell me more about this green drink you are talking about? Where do you get it or how do you make it? What does it taste like? Sorry so many questions but if it's as good as you say it is..... Thanks.
Diet is still consisting of higher protein, lower fats, whole wheat carbs and vegetables. Went back to the old school basics for awhile. Today's workout will be chest, shoulders and triceps with a hard but short run at the end. Anybody have anything fun planned for the weekend? ![]() |

Had a conversation with my store-mate. She said she'd quit taking the CLA, cause she didn't think it was helping her. granted only took it for a month and did NOT measure herself like I told her too. . . Anyway, she said that it was too expensive for the amount of benefit it provided and she'd rather use the $30+/month to buy healthier food choices and such. I thought about what she said, and have to admit, the only reason I started the CLA is because I got two free bottles. I DID see results, despite poor eating and lack of exercise so I am convinced. However her point about the cost seems valid to me, (the soon to be unemployed again) and I've been considering lowering the dosage to make it stretch out longer but wondered how low could I go and still get enough?
My bottle has 750CLA per capsule, so before I was taking 5 total each day = 3750mg. that lasted me 24 days. I read before that one could take less, but I don't remember what the lower dosage was. Any suggestions?

![]() The one I use is supreme greens with MSM and it comes in a green powder with a tiny scooper inside. I bought it some time ago. I'm amazed it even works, still, it's been so long. But there are many online suppliers. I'm not sure who has the best prices, though, so shop around. It's terribly bitter the first day or two. And then it taste like the most divine thing ever! hahahaha So strange. But really cool. I drink it like this: 3 ounces slightly warm tap water one scoop supreme greens (probably just a tsp or so) one scoop dutch chocolate cocoa powder (the same scooper from the greens) half a scoop of chocolate protein powder (the scooper that comes with the protein powder) 2 tbsp heavy cream I mix it all together with a fork and then add ice cubes. I sip it like it's a milk shake because, to me, that's what it tastes like now. I sip it whenever I feel like; with a meal or in place of a meal. Altogether it's about 140 calories. I have between one and three shakes per day, aside from food. I don't worry about the calories, though, because I eat so much better while drinking them. Let me know if you find a decent supplier, will you? I'm going to order some more pretty soon. I'll let you know the same. ![]()

I started using Green Magma Plus in my shakes-it is some fantastic stuff with the nutrition of 57 different foods. It's about $21-$22 at Vitamin Shoppe-Fawn recommended it to me.

ADLMA, yes, if you re-start the combo, along with a good eating plan
Denise, good to see you back . I've added a fat burner called "meltdown" to my suppliment arsonal too lol. Congrats on the sweater, isnt that a great feeling???? About the green tea, we drink it too. I like the Aviva brand loose tea. I get it at aviva dot com. I feel so much better when I drink it instead of diet drinks.Lisa, I have read so much good about fish oil and weight loss. I did take it before. Dont know why I stopped. Going to start taking it again metqa, The lowest effective dose was 3400mg a day. maybe you could try a different brand thats cheaper? Hi to everyone else ![]()

Thanks for the welcome back, Trisha! Mmm mmm, tea! I'm sipping on a cup of yerba mate tea right now. Tea just gives me the warm fuzzy wuzzies.
![]() You're very welcome, Justachic! I hope you try it and, even more so, I hope you like it. I hope it makes you feel like I feel when I drink it. Lemme know if it does, k? ![]() I hope you find a way that works out for you, Metga. I know the supplements can be a real pain in the you know what! (wallet ) The fat burner that I'm mimmicking has only 100 grams of CLA per serving. But I think he did that because it's such an expensive ingredient. I continue to take the most effective dosage. Maybe you can just try cutting the dosage in half? Take 2 a day and monitor your progress? Or 3, and just see what happens. Whatever you do, I hope it works out for you. And, hey, regardless, you'll still be low carbing and building your best possible body, right? And then add in the most effective dosage when you can afford to again. Good luck, friend. |

Thanks for all the compliments on "my boy."
![]() Mikki - I was not allergic to cats until I went through puberty and then I suddenly was allergic to them. We had a cat at the time and the poor thing had to live in the garage and eventually he ran away. A month after he ran away, I saw him 1 street over living with some people and that made me happy. I asked the lady if she it was her cat and she said that he sort of adopted them. That really made me feel relieved that he had more of a life with her since he had to be combined to the garage because of my allergy. I really felt guilty for him not being able to live in the house.

I actually started out taking 3 a day along with 2 GLA, then i had been on the combo about 2 months before i bumped it up to 5 cla. I spread my pills through out the day. I take my pills in the morning and a lunch time. They didnt interfere with my sleep habits. ![]() |

Congrats MG-we can do this! It's taking us a little longer than most but we'll get there!
![]() I'm glad you got some kitty love and she's adapting Mikki-it's hard to give up a furbaby! ![]() When it comes to supplements or vitamins it's always better to spread them out over the day like Mikki said. Your body can only absorb so much of a nutrient at one time and will discard the rest as waste-so you can be having some mighty expensive pee if you try to cram then in all at once! ![]()

MG- that was a great one! Great job on 172lb!! Only 2.5lbs to go I know it seems like forever, but at least the slower the better...it will STAY off then!!I finally broke my "hold" of 155lbs and made it to 153.5lb. I have been going to the gym more and plan to do this while vacationing this month since family can watch DS while I go It helps me be more versatile with my food selection. With running I can add carbs and more veggies and still lose...that was the main reason I did the experiment in January, to see if I switched up my metabolic process. I have PCOS and could never lose on just cutting calories and stuff. Now I can,but I also know never eat carbs without protein, etc....so many good things I learned through LC journey!I have averaged 1.5lbs a week this whole time I LC...not fast, but I am happy with the results and so excited to see my DH's family this week...the last time they saw me I weighed 206-212lb...around there....they will be shocked ![]() I am leaving Monday so I will try to check in when I can, but if not I will catch up on the 15th in between vacations Then we are off on the 17th for FL![]() ![]() I am actualy not dreading buying a swimsuit for once...not that I am where I want to be, but I can honestly say it is so close...Take care everyone! KUTGW!!! ![]() ![]() ![]()

Evening Y'all,
Hey Mikki, I'm with ya! We went to Wally World and PetSmart and GoodWill and we forgot to eat so when we came home everyone was ravenous, including me! I ate my LC supper, and then proceeded to eat 3 pcs of homemade ww pizza I made for my family. YUMMMM! OK, so tomorrow will be a "lean" day. ![]() |
