Freeing - You look great! Amazing, what a change in such a short time. I'm sorry you got TOM, but like you said, there is always next month!

Chic - Good luck on your 5K race, if I don't get to talk to you before then.

Mikki - I'm so sorry you had to give your kitty away due to DD's asthma. I'm so glad your friend has her so that you can visit and love her up every now and then. My oldest DD and I have asthma and both of us are allergic to cats and to bunnies. They have the same kind of dander, apparently. Also, birds are not good for asthmatics, either. (Just giving you a head-up on that one, because we did get a bird and had to give it away because we didn't know that.) Hooray on the scales being down in your favor!

MG - Thanks for the recipe.

Lisa and Marsha -

ADLMA - I hope the surgery helps you.

Hi! My name is Karen. I am a 33-year-old busy working mother of two darling children, ages 6 and 3. I am new here. I restarted low carbing last week, Monday, March 25th. Previously I lost a total of about 40 pounds in three months. After I had my first child I weighed 235 and went down to 195. My darn husband can't seem to keep his hands off of me when I lose weight so then I had child number 2. Surprisingly, I actually weighed less a week after I had him than when I got pregnant with him (193). I now weigh 212...I have lost 10 pounds since last Monday. I really would like to weigh about 160, maybe. I think I'll know when I get there. I received my tonalin today. I actually just bought it out of curiousity because it was recommended based on my purchase of Walker diet shake mixes. It was later that I found this page and started looking into it. Do I really need to take it with the GLA to see results?

Great to see so many here . Not much computer time lately, but wanted to check in anyway.
Glad y'all liked the pic lol it got me good the first time.

Free, the pics look great !!!!

Hi lucki !!!

Michele, it does sound like I have the same thing you had. Hope it goes away soon.

chic, I see you found your pom poms lol. No more work stories yet, and the guys down there are no-one I would want to introduce to a friend if ya know what I mean.

Mikki, I am allergic to cats too, so they stay outside. We dont really have any but the rescue cat and alot of strays we feed and they are all wild. congrats on the 3 pounds !!

ADLMA !!! Good to see you back !!! Good luck on your surgery. Now I really am going to have to find my Callan tapes !!! Great results !!!

Karen, welcome to the thread. The cla works best with the gla. Some have tried the cla alone with no results until they added the borage oil (gla)

We have been playing Tiger Woods Golf on the Wii. Its alot of fun. That was a good investment for us. It got us away from our computers for awhile and up & moving again. More rain tomorrow grrrr !!! The grass needs cut . I'm ready to start working in the yard again.

ADLMA - I forgot to say CONGRATULATIONS on the lost inches!!!

Trish - I love our Wii, too. We haven't played it in 2 weeks, but I'm sure we will start playing it again soon. I, too, can't wait to work in the yard. It had been cold here (40's, 50's) but yesterday it was 72 degrees! Too bad it didn't last.

Have a good night everyone. I'm going to get ready for bed early so I can watch Criminal Minds.

I know this is totally off topic, but I wanted to share with you the last pic I took of Toby on Feb. 22. He was looking right at me when I snapped it. He was such a sweet boy.

Thanks for letting me share it with you and for listening to me. You all are wonderful. Nite.

Trisha...Don't know about pom poms...ha ha ha...but after this weekend I feel I'm getting my energy back, at least to check in here more often! That's so cool that you're movin your body to Wii games and having fun at the same time. Fun!

Thanks Michele....Toby really was a beautiful dog. He'll be one of the first spirits to meet & greet you into heaven, you'll see.

Have a good evening everyone!

Hi Trish!!!

chic - EFT is emotional freedom technique....it's a technique used to help people who are emotional eaters release themselves from the grip. it's very useful for other issues too.

mikki - congrat's on the loss!!!

What a beautiful Dog! Great Shot!

BF has a Wii but he never wants to play. What a waste! I've been wanting DDR for ages and he has the system and no interest in it. We do play Halo3 once in a while. About the most exercise from that is getting screamed at for not driving the jeep right and screaming back that you are dead and can't drive the jeep anymore.

Lucki - I like EFT, I ought to use it more often. It helps me to figure out what is actually bugging me by naming it specifically and working on that issue. I used it for confusion that was masked as anger, and anger that was masked as indecision, even before a typing test for nervousness. If nothing else it helps to identify the problem you are having . . ." And Knowing is Half the Battle." (G.I. Joe!)

G'night everyone!

Thank you everyone!

Michele- Your Toby was so adorable!!!!

Mikki- Sorry your kitty had to go Don't think the last 15lb will be hard for you...everyone told me when I hit 169lb it would be really hard to get past it and I have only been stuck for a few days at a time, never even a week! KUTGW and results will abound!

Chic- How's running going? Only a few more lbs and then the pink streak comes huh? I ran 5 miles yesterday..was only planning on 3, but got a second wind...I did it in 49 minutes, so not too bad I guess I try and just stay consistent during my runs, no need for speed here

MG- Thankyou! How are things going on your end???

Marsha- Thank you, I am still lovin' me some Callan!! You are gonna start running too?? I had to wear a brace for awhile too...not anymore!!

ADLMA- AWESOME job on the inches!! It is an amazing thing huh?

Trisha- Glad the Wii is working out so well for you! It does sound tempting

Well, menu for the day cause I haven't posted one in awhile:

B- OMM toast with simply JIF(lower sugar) and sugar free preserves

L- Spaghetti Squash with meat sauce

D- Cuban flank steak and black beans

So your daughter has asthma, AND is allergic to cats!?! I'm so sorry to hear that. My BF had asthma as a child from bronchitis, and he grew up around at least 5 cats at all times, and lives with a cat now. He's gotten over it the asthma, and doesn't use the inhaler anymore except for extreme situations. He said the inhaler was a crutch and he wanted his lungs to adjust and strengthen and some such. I hope your daughter will eventually be able to do without the inhaler as she gets older.

Hi! I haven't been here in a looonnnggg time, but had a quick question: Does anybody ever stop taking the combo?

I have taken it faithfully since Oct. I stopped taking it 2 days earlier this week, then started again yesterday.

I reinducted and I am under the impression that CLA/GLA will take off inches, while not allowing true scale weight loss to occur. Am I bonkers or is this correct???

Thanks! I appreciate any replies

Lisa...since I've been taking the combo (December) I've only dropped 15 lbs but I went from a size 12/13 to a size 5. Some of us here have lost a bunch of lbs without exercising but I strength train and run so it really differs for everyone. Hope that gives you some what of an idea.

Wow Chic! That is truly incredible! Thanks for answering. I also exercise, at least 3 times weekly and have lost a bunch of inches, but only 1 size down...but I'm sorta a hard-to-lose gal. Thanks and I hope others will answer

You can take fish oil, but keep it seperate from the cla/gla by at least 3 hours. Thats too much oils for your body to absorb all at once so they compete for absorbtion and some will get wasted

Michele, loved the pic of Toby. Thank you for sharing that with us

Hi Lisa, I remember you. I've stopped and restarted so many times I lost count lol. Mainly because I just get tired of doing LC and go back to trashy eating and dont want to waste the cla/gla. I always come back though. Yes this combo can reduce inches while causing a temporary scale stall. The scale will catch up with occasional whooshes. Fat cells fill with water for a period and then your body releases that water ("whoosh") at a point and you see a decrease on the scale. Hope
