Kathy....that really is awesome on how many inches you've lost. Way to go girl!

Free and Marsha...ran 3 awesome, strong, continuous miles today on the beach this morning! Let me tell you, running on a treadmill sucks. From now on, it's outside.

Thanks. I'm getting better everyday. I am sore because of the way the chiropractor worked me over. I swear he popped my neck 5 times.

Hey, anyone drink naked juice fruit smoothies? I know, I know, high in carbs and all but I like it and have been having it for breakfast for the last couple days.

Lil- hope you're having fun. I can't believe that guy tried to eat and run LOL

Phil - hope you feel better. I like the taste of Naked Juice but you're right they are really high in natural sugars. Most of them use banana and orange juice. But dang if they don't taste awesome!

Chic - I'd love to have a beach to run on. I heard that running on the sand is more of a workout since it doesn't rebound. Congrats on your Pink Nano!

I bounced on the rebounder yesterday with BF and my chest started hurting really bad. BF thinks I have exercise related asthma cause I couldn't expand my chest without pain and got dizzy again. I am so miffed with the phys. cause I complained about this when I finally got insurance and he said to just work harder at exercise. I know "no pain, no gain, but I'm pretty sure my chest pain is NOT a positive gain. Anyway, I'm gonna give leave to the aerobics for a bit and work on my core and maybe callanetics if I win this bid on ebay.

I saw that Amazon has it but I'm gonna try to see if I can get if for less.

OOH Chic-PINK nano? Might be on my birthday wish list next month!!

Well, buddies-Surgery is in my near future. So near, Dr actually wanted to do it Monday But it won't be till the end of the month since dsh and dd's will be gone in Mexico from the 13th to the 18th. Dr will be on vacation until the following Friday, so it will be the end of the month.
It's the same surgery I had 18 years ago-just above the last one-"During discectomy, the surgeon removes the portion of the disc that is herniated and protruding into the spinal canal." The portion protruding is pressing on a nerve that goes down my leg, and is causing MAJOR pain. I will only be in the hospital over night and recovery is anywhere from 2-8 weeks. I can't wait for it to be done and over with so I can get back to exercise and weight loss!!

Well, my day was VERY long so I didn't get my after pic taken, it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Night everyone-I'm beat!!

Marsha- Have fun on your trip!! How awesome! Callan on vacation should be easy to handle too and relaxing!!!!!

Hi to everyone else!!!

On my end I am up to 162.5lbs this morning!! Ughh I am hoping it's just because I ran yesterday and the callan and TOM....I want to see the 150's cause I am so close!!
I think we are either moving to VA or upstate NY....should be outta here by May!

Menu-
B- 1 egg with sprinkle of mozz, 1.5 slice bacon, OMM with natural PB

Wow, Jimzgrl - I'm glad to hear they are eager to help you now. I hope the surgery goes well and takes away the pain. A month seems like such a long time. Do you have to do anything special before the surgery?

Hey everyone, I won my ebay bid, so I should be getting my 10 in 10 DVD in a week or so. I'm so excited. Still haven't recovered my CLA but will be back on it as soon as I find it.

Has anyone had a problem with GLA causing breakthrough bleeding when its not their TOM? I have been taking the CLA\GLA combo for over 2 weeks and a week ago experienced this as did my sister whos been taking it with me.
I have been like clock work all my life and never had a problem with it before, and the only thing that has changed recently is the combo.

Thanks,
Kristy

Silver....a few gals have complained about break thru bleeding and they ended up stopping the combo. This might not work for you, sorry.

Kathy...really hope everything goes well with the surgery and you are back to your ole self again.

Free...awesome that you can get back into your running as fast as you do! It took me a bit to get to 10 minute miles...yikes! I'm on it now.

Mikki...the nano is cool. You ever thought about getting one? It helps with exercise motivation. You download all your upbeat music and go go go.

Okay, my parents are out visiting and performing as baby sitters so DH and I can go out! Anyone care to meet up for a beverage this weekend?

Chic- Thanks, not sure why it was so easy, maybe the strength and the callan?? Very cool though! Too bad we weren't closer we could run together!!

Mikki- I honestly don't care, we have been here before so I would like to see somewhere new! NY is really snowy and it's right up there by Canada though to have fun traveling. NY is also closer to my west side PA family! I just want to get out and KNOW where we are going

Marsha- I am sure you did fine! Either way you enjoyed yourself and don't beat yourself up over anything!!! You just get back on track your way and move on....if any doubt about how well you are doing sneaks in your head, just check out those legs in the avatar!!!!!!!!WOOOOHOOOO

As for me, I am debating on whether to just go ahead and move back to moderate carbs. Both of my trials ended in the same weight loss. Either way I have to watch calories, so I may just add in more veggies fruit and brown rice. I still didn't do pasta during the month I upped carbs and honestly, I didn't miss it. I hate the way it makes me feel...
We shall see, maybe I will just go day by day and just eat healthy Now there is an idea...everything in moderation Whoever heard of THAT!!! ((end sarcasm)) I think we Americans obsess over food waaaaaaay more than any other parts of the world

Free- i have found so far on my up carb day that fruits and certain grains really help me. Its like it lets my body know im not starving. Last refeed i had raspberries, blackberries, and multigrain flatbread and lost 3 lbs next day lol. And got my bowels moving good.

Yeah I think I may be one who cant take that but I did read up on it and found that black currant seed oil is more woman friendly so Im going to try that eventhough it doesnt have as much GLA as the Borage oil and see if the same thing happens. If it does then Im just going to stop taking it.. and just use the CLA alone.

I know you aren't talking to me, but oh does this sound sooo good!

Hi everyone. I've had a busy couple of days and now youngest DD is home from college for her break. Just wanted to pop in and say hello.

Paula - I love the pic! You look so much younger and, yes, I do see how much thinner you are in the face. That happens to me when I lose weight. Unfortunately, weight loss hasn't been happening for me.
Thanks for sharing your pics!

Kathy - I'm so sorry you have to have another back surgery. I hope that once you have it, you recover quickly and feel better with no pain.

Trish & Tom - You are probably already gone, but I hope you have a FUN time!

Lil - Have a good time with DD.

Chic - Have fun going out with DH.

Lisa....you got it! Next time we go visit DH's parents I will let you know and we'll meet somewhere for a drink. That would be really cool!

Free...I have soooo much more energy now that I've increased my carbs. And as we all know, if we want to achieve more, we have to have the energy for it right? I was appreciating your sarcasm.

Silver....good luck!

Michele...thanks! we are going out with another fun couple this weekend. We may even act like 21 year olds....heh heh heh!

Mikki....what kind of a RAT would eat your cheese??? Your dinner for goodness sakes! I say we find out and flatten some tires.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!!

I weighed in at 160.5lbs this morning

Only 1 lb away!!!!! I actually ended up getting up to 40 carbs yesterday and did my Callan. I feel awesome!
I think I will try between 30-50g a day for now and see where that takes me. 20-30 was not doing anything anymore

Chic- Thanks, my sarcasm goes overlooked or else I usually offend people's fragile sensibility

My menu for the day-

B- BET on omm bread

L- Rosemary chicken with olive oil and brussel sprouts

D- Not sure...thinking spaghetti squash with red meat sauce and parm

Snack between one meal of figs. I missed that taste

So my totals for the day would be:
Fat 50% only 10% of that saturated
Carbs 16%
Protein 34%
I think that will work for me! If not it's always adjustable..I may stop tracking after this month if I can. It is just a pain and I seem to stop when I am full now anyway

Or at least strap the thieves down and beat with cheese sticks! That'll teach em!

Chic that sounds like fun and Michelle the more the merrier!

Freeing you are doing so great! I have been doing research on leptin and refeeds and the gist is that the longer we are on very lc diets our bodies shut down and don't burn anymore fat-so that is why we need to refeed and up our leptin levels & glycogen stores to movitvate the body to burn fat again. You will go up a lb or two but will start burning that and hopefully more when you lc again.

Marsha is doing M&E with me after our refeed yesterday-the most I have ever made it on M&E is 2 days-never so happy to see a salad than after M&E! Our goal is 3 days lc and then another refeed. I am doing M&E to jumpstart ketosis and get the appetite suppression I need and Marsha was nice enough to do this with me.
