Metqa - Happy Birthday!!!!!
I hope it is (was) great! You can use your new camera for photos to post for us!MG - During my first hour of Callan, I was complaining with "charlie-horses" in my legs. My 4-y-o came up to me later in the night saying, "Ma, I have a zebwa in my yeg!" Confused, I questioned, "You have a zebra in your leg?" "Yes, isn't that what you had. . .a zebwa, in your yeg? You know? Cwamps?" Since then, if it's about Callan, it's about "Zebras". MG - go for 10 in 10. It is available at that .com marketplace that starts with "A". You flex in a special position, hold the position, while pulsing, for the most part. This is when the zebras come. Free - WTG on the 6 jeans! Lil - I agree, I wanna be tonned and healthy in appearance! Speaking of Callan -- I measured about 2 weeks ago, planning on purchasing new support. I have done 10 hours of Callan and lost an inch around my ribs and an inch from the bust. Some time back, I measured my legs - down 2 inches at the thigh. Now, I don't have any idea if I have lost pounds or not, as I avoid those monsters! Inches are just fine with me! |

Metqa-"Happy Birthday to you"
Sounds like you had a great day! Hope the rest of the week is just as good!! And as my hubby says-You can tell a man really loves a woman when he gives her sharp objects as a gift!![]() Okay you Callanetic specialists-can this be done with a hurt back? Can the poses be modified? I will (hopefully) find out today what specialist I'm being sent to for my back but I am SO tired of just sitting around! I have seriously cried because of my lack of exercise the last month and a half. I have absolutely no energy and it is depressing to just sit here. I can't even do a slow walk on the treadmill with the pain now down to my knee.OKAY, no more whining-somebody slap me if I do it again!! On a good note-I lost 1.4 lbs this week taking me back into the 170's finally! 179.6 and on my way down!Well, it's feed time! BIL making some veggie omelets this morning-YUM! Have a great day everyone!

Jimz - I don't think you could do this, if you back is hurt. I have back problems, so I do modity. If, however, my back was actively hurting, I could not do most of the exercises in Callan. You may want to go into the exercise board, look at "Yes, it really does work", or something like that. They are doing Shapely Secrets. It is a 7 minute routine in which one flexes, holds the flex for 30 seconds, then repeats. Carolyn explains it great and in a way you can understand and complete the exercises. I did them, based on what she said, before the DVD I ordered arrived. The only one that hurt my back was the one for legs and bottom. The arms, I don't think will hurt you. I understand your desire to try to help your body. I do.
MG - DH said he thinks he tossed my DVD. ![]() |

I am 5'3" by the way...apparently really muscular since I can fit into such a small jean and am so short I am asking too many questions, but just enjoying the feeling!Today's menu: B- BET on oopsies L- Spaghetti squash with cuban flank steak D- "OMM bread with roast beef and mozz Metqa!Mikki- where do you buy your jeans or what kind are they?? Maybe I am just shopping at the stores that clothes run big then You are waaaay taller than me, so I have no clue what's going on size wise with my clothes??I shop at Old Navy mainly and occasionally Walmart for their levi's? I know you will make 155lbs in no time! That seems aweful slim for 6' though right? Maybe I'm wrong ![]() And don't run yourself ragged girl!! I do hope everything works out for you though!MG- Hiya!!

Just a quick hello and
to Metqa. (Sorry about your stolen gardening supplies...that stinks.) Marsha - I can REALLY see a difference in the pics! ![]() ![]() Phil - Glad you had a nice time in Chicago. Trish - It was nice here yesterday, too. In the 60's. I hope you find your summer clothes. Congrats on being down in weight! ![]() My mom took us out to Texas Roadhouse for dinner last evening and it was so good but I could only eat 1/2 of my sirloin and so I brought the rest home and had it for lunch today. DD just called and said she needs more $ in her bank acct. so I have to run out to one bank and get $ and take $ to another bank and deposit it there for her so I have to run. Hello to everyone I haven't addressed. ![]()

I just finished 1 hour Callan, the 6 min run/walk thing. I may do Qigong later tonight -- need the energy. I am very pleased with my body's response to both the Callan and running. I am so much more flexable now, and my running - when I started, I was clinging to the sky poles, barely picking up my feet, and just plain about to croak. Now, I run with strides and let go of my poles! I'm kinda proud of me.
![]() Chic - On the other hand, would it be too much to ask for a fresh shipment of energy. I'd sure appreciate it. ![]() Lil, Chic, Mikki, and Free - just for me to know where I am, compared with you loosers, what is the measurement around the thick part of your thighs, if you don't mind telling me. I would greatly appreciate your help on this one. Thanks. ![]() MG - Where are ya, Sis?? We are never on together. Deana - Where on earth are you, girl? ![]() |

Great, Free.....Monday I will be waiting for your post on your running. I completed 3 miles in 30 minutes today- NON STOP! Freakin finally. I feel like I'm starting to improve. As I was walking to the gym, I told myself I would run the full 3 miles without stopping and when I got there I kept telling myself.....my heart will move me, legs and feet will carry me. Now that I'm getting in better condition I think I'm gonna start running on the damp sand.
Marsha....you ready to join us with the running yet gal pal? Get that brace.

Thanks Chic! I'm so sorry I made you do it before you wanted to surprise yourself with a huge loss.
I am happy for you on the loss! Boy, it would be a hoot if you lose still more inches before the 15. Thank you, Chic.![]() |

Free - I've been meaning to ask for a while, but forget. I think I must be the only one that did not know. . .what is "dry brush"? You mentioned a while back that you had a friend that work for a P.S. that you had asked about a little extra skin you had once you lost weight. You said she told you with exercise and maybe "dry brushing" it would most likely go away.
