Well, as you guys know I've been weighing myself every day because I've been experiencing daily progress since coming back to low carb while incorporating the CLA/GLA. As soon as my daily drop in numbers stopped, I had plans to go back to weighing once per week. So day before yesterday I was 234.6. Cool. Then yesterday, 234.2. Very nice... I was thinking, any day now the daily drop will stop. Well last night I was feeling kinda hungry but it was like 1 AM and I didn't want to put anything heavy into my tummy right before bed. I remembered that I'd taken coconut oil at bed time once and experienced a loss on the scale the next morning. That was months ago and I hadn't done it since because it interfered with my sleep. I woke up lighter but sleepy! LOL But lately, I haven't been sleeping well, anyhow. So I thought, "what the heck?". I had a tablespoon of coconut oil right off the spoon. I let it melt in my mouth and then swallowed it. I followed that up with a small strawberry carb control yogurt. So... this morning? First, I woke rested for the first time in over a week. A wonderful full nights sleep. And I'm 233.2 That's a full pound since yesterday morning!
![]() Heh... guess I'm weighing myself again tomorrow. ![]()

swinglow- Thank you
Congrats on the 233.2!!! I also weigh every day mainly to keep myself on track. I have added a lot of fiber in my diet lately and it seems to have gotten me past the 158lb mark. I am hoping for another 3 lbs by the end of the month. I really wanted to hit 150lb by April 17th, but I am just happy to be toning up to look good in a swimsuit![]() I told DH, my last 22.5lbs to hit ultimate goal can go very slow, I just ultimate goal before the end of the year! ![]() |

Okay....that's it! Even though I'm getting close to goal, I HAVE to look into Callan for myself now. It amazes me how you guys are transforming your bodies in a fraction of the time it's taken me. I'm talking 13 hours vs 3 months of intense gym training. Wow! Free that is incredible. You and Marsha are kicking butt big time.
Denise congratz on your loss. Keep it up girl! You already have a smokin body with your extra weight...I wanna be able to whistle at ya when you reach your ultimate goal!!! LOL Gonna eat my preworkout meal and hit the gym. Have a great day everyone!

Thank you Free!
Thanks Chic! When I hear the whistlin I'll know who that is... Thank you MountainGirl! I'm happy to share my menu.I'm a foodie and I do all the cooking for my house so I like to pick stuff my bf and I can both eat. Then I'll add non lc sides for him. I'm not a real breakfast food person, so sometimes I eat leftovers from dinner for breakfast. Sometimes I'll have chicken or ham and cheese with miracle whip (I know!) on two oopsies. If it's the weekend I might make a egg mcmuffin kinda deal on two oopsies. I also will sometimes eat one egg with cheese a piece of sausage and one oopsie warmed with butter and sugar free syrup. For the first few days I had a burger king burger for lunch on two oopsies. Lately I've been better about eating real food. Just whatever is left over from dinner. Some of the things I've cooked this week are Linda Sue's Green Chicken Enchilada Casserole and her Laredo Barbeque Pot Roast. We went to Outback for dinner on Saturday and I ate their crab cakes appetizer and a salad. Last Friday I made Linda Sue's Pork Rind pizza (which my bf liked very much). I wish I could be more exact, but I don't keep track of my exact menus. I just eat when I'm hungry and always have yummy stuff in the fridge. If it's been a reasonable amount of time since my last meal, I'll eat another meal. If it hasn't been that long or if I'm feeling something but not really hungry I'll eat a tablespoon of coconut oil off the spoon and follow it up with a treat, of sorts. Like I made these reeses peanut butter cup cookies over the weekend that I've been munching on all week! LOL For tonight I'm making Cleo's Taco Pizza. Tomorrow, I'm making Philly cheese steaks. I'll wrap my bf's in a low carb tortilla and I'll eat mine in the low carb tortillas I made yesterday. Friday is our pizza night. We used to order out when we first got together. But now I make them. Sometimes I make them on carb balance tortillas. But lately I've been on the look out for a lower carb option for myself so I'm looking for the best low carb pizza crust. So this week, I'm trying Linda Sue's Pizza crust made with bake mix and cream cheese. Does that give you an idea, Mountaingirl? Again, I'm sorry I'm not more exact because I don't really count carbs or plan my meals every day. I just make sure I get good food and eat reasonable amounts. Oh, and I tend to like the high fat options, best; like the Chicken Divan, the Enchilada Casserole (I'll even put sour cream on top) But I practice portion control. Well... sorta. ![]() |

Good afternoon everyone. another rainy day here. We have had about 4 inches since Monday and another 1.5 inchs expected today and have flood warnings out everywhere. We are near the Ohio River but not in a flood zone Thank Goodness. I may leave for work early and cruise by the river to take some pics. You're so welcome MG! You're welcome, Trisha! Glad to help, Jimzgrl. That's what I'm here for.
![]() Man, I am awfully full tonight... I ate dinner at 7 and I'm still soooo full. Makes me wonder if I ate too much today. Usually, I have slight hunger pains this time of night. Well, since taking the combo they're slight. They used to be ravenous, but I digress... I'm full! And really sated. Might be all those delicious little knock-off reeses I ate today. Oh, did I tell you guys about the "better than reeses pb cups"? Yeah, you gotta check those out if you're into pb and chocolate. OMG better than reeses peanut butter cups! In case you're wondering, here's what I ate today: For breakfast I had one of sherrielee's tortillas wrapped around a mixture of cream cheese and whipped cream filling, topped with a couple sliced strawberries. It was totally yummy but I kept feeling like I was cheating and didn't like the feeling. Lunch was left over chicken divan reheated and eaten with a fork. Don't ya just love having meat, fat and veggies all rolled into one? Makes for easy meal planning! I had a Burger King whopper jr a few hours later; replaced the bread with a couple of oopsies. I guess that's considered a snack? LOL For dinner I had two slices of taco pizza and a couple of those yummy coconut oil snacks from above. Yeah... looking at all of that, I definitely ate a lot today. I wonder if I'll lose anything in the morn... Goodnite, Everybody! Last edited by swinglow : 03-19-2008 at 07:06 PM. |

Good Evening All !!!
You are all doing awesome!!! Free- You rock!!! I need to find the dvd and try it. I have problems with my lower back but it would be worth a shot. I am still on the exercise bike. Walking on nice days when its not raining!! And added the ab lounge this week. I had been feeling really sluggish and down. Figured it to be the weather and "winter blues". I tried the Htp-5 ehhh no big change. Well last week I tried the super B complex. Was kinda worried about it cause 4 years ago I tried the b-12 and out of the 2% of people that can have an allergic reaction I am one of them. But I have been taking the b complex since friday and no reaction but man do I feel better. More energy, brighter out look on things , some days I feel like the energizer bunny lol !!! Swing- I am going to have to try the pork rind pizza crust. So far we have breaded chicken in them and made the "french toast" They were both really good. I found Joesph's LC pita bread at walmart. Love them Love them Love them!!! Also found some low carb yogurt at Kroger wonderful stuff!!!! The kids are still kicking butt. Hubby has slowed down some but I am trying to get him to up his water but when he is gone all week it is really hard to watch him! I also read and started the Oil Pulling this week. Older kids started it too. But note to self , when you have a daughter that can make you laugh just by looking at her, Do Not I repeat Do not try to hold a mouthful of oil in your mouth at the same time she is!!! Will keep you posted on what happens! Trish- I know what you mean about the rain and the moles. I know this is going to sound goofy but if you will take Juicy Fruit Gum and open their holes and put it in there. They will be gone in no time. We have to do it every year!! By the way , you take some great pics and I am glad you had a good time on vacation!!! Well that is all I can think of right now. Have a wonderful Night !! Paula

MG, You crack me up !! Well I asked son since hubby isnt home and I dont get near the holes. Have this fear they will come after me LOL !!!
he said that dad puts both down cause we arent really sure which is right but one of them is. But yes you just stick the gum in the hole like where they make a hump of dirt in the yard, there will be a tunnel, move the dirt and stick the gum down in there. We do it everytime we see a new hole. I told me Aunt about it , she had spent $100's trying to get rid of hers now she just makes sure she buys the gum. Let me know if you need more info and I will ask hubby in the morning Good Luck Paula |

Toby (my dog) died yesterday afternoon, just as Candice (my DD) walked through the door. I had to drive 1.5 hours each way to get her from the airport and we hurried to make it home, but her plane was late due to bad weather. I had my MIL stay with Toby while I was gone. My heart is aching and I couldn't sleep last night. I have to go pick up his ashes today. I feel like I have lost a child.
I've not been posting due to try to nurse him back to health. He was 13.5 years old.
