My hair is sooooo curly !!! Its not a good curl either, its the frizzy curl . I use a flat iron and Redken extreme anti-snap to keep from damaging it. My hairdresser loves it. She cant believe people pay to have my natural curl and I want to get rid of it lol

Mikki- I absolutely LOVE the hair! I think it suit your new skinny face

Trisha- Glad to see you back! The trips pics are great! Glad you had a good time

So I did my 13th hour of Callan and I think it puts me in a better mood than most exercises...it's relaxing not taxing to my body.
We are heading to the park soon and going to play like a kid for my cardio I guess

Free, have fun at the park !!

Phil, I helped Tom catch that bass lol. I hit my pink golf ball in the pond there and we went to look for it and saw that bad boy swimming near the edge. Tom caught it on the first cast as soon as it hit the water !!! There was a bigger one on the other side of the pond but Tom couldnt talk it onto the hook lol. (he sure tried lol good thing there were no kids around ) It just stayed right there inches from the hook and bait and stared

mikki, I havent tried one of those irons. I have the wide Remmington wet2straight one.

Very motivating pics Denise! Keep it up!

Trisha....yes, the training with my trainer was cool today. She showed me some moves to really mix it up and get an all over body workout. Smart training as I refer to it. I felt good because she was saying things like, I was doing better than she anticipated and that I am strong and have good form. We kept having to increase the weight on some things. I was thinking BRING IT!!! Seriously though, I'm kind of wondering if she was just being easy on me cuz it was my first session. I'm a bit concerned cuz I wanted her to kick my butt. It was a challenging workout but the truth is I'm actually harder on myself. I am hoping that next week she'll really let me have it! Please keep me posted on how things go with your trainer.

Hey does anybody know what their body fat percentage is? Mine is 27.5 and my new goal is to get it to 24.

chic, my trainers name is also Trish lol. i really like her because she really does push me to do more. My arms will be shaking and she will say I know you have 3 more in there, lets see it !!! lol. I have to be careful because of my neck restrictions and she knows just how far she can push me.

Oh gosh...body fat . I bought a body fat analizer and it said I am 40% fat

Had a great work out at the gym today. I haven't done Superslow in months and I was super strong! Stronger than I was when I last went. I'm guessing that means the isometrics did something to improve my strength. I hope so! I really want to gain some more muscle mass. My metabolism doesn't seem nearly as fast as it was 5 years ago. Maybe something to do with hormonal changes as I age. Anyhow, I hope to make up for that by putting on an extra five pounds of lean muscle, if I can. I've been lifting heavy for years so I'd thought I may have reached my peak as far as new muscle growth. But my strength in the gym today has given me new hope.

Hope everyone had a fantastic day.

Morning everyone! I am feeling a bit better today, just still sick. Gotta take DS to the doc's since he is coughing like Gallum from LOTR
Anyway, down to 158.5lbs this morning so the water weight is going again
I cannot believe the phenominal changes my body is making from callan. I will post pics at the end of the month, but let me tell you AMAZING!!
My menu for today is:

B- Carb control yogurt and 1/2 cup fiber one

L- OMM bread with roast beef and mozzarella, tomato and dijon

D- Probably cheeseburger on oopsies with tomato and mayo (DH is gone and so is my motivation to cook extravagant things

Swinglow- I think you are such a positive asset to this group! Glad you are here

Chic- I want to go get my BF% done sometime, but it will probably be after I move yet again You still running?? I am planning on getting some in during the few days that DH is home and then again after the next week he is gone

Mikki- Have a great day! You are most welcome!

Trisha- How much does a trainer cost? I may look into it after we move. I really want to focus on toning and strength now that I am so much closer to goal.

Park was fun, I can do the entire run of monkey bars That is saying a lot since I have NEVER been able to do them Go me! I had lots of fun and depending on what the doc say about DS, we may go later again. Gotta make sure it's nothing serious first...I love how kids never act sick at this age

Goof afternoon everyone. I was 207 when we got back from Florida and dropped 4lbs the first couple days home to 203. Today I am at 200.4 so maybe I'll see onederland again by the end of this week !!! Still a no-pay at the gym but hoping they pay soon so I can start the gym in April. My friend Jackie at work is joining with me. I need to go see the Dr., my left foot has a big knot on it right in the joint and hurts to walk, and my left knee is bothering me so I need to get that looked at so I can be ready for the gym !!! I got my foot hung on the gear shift sheild on my tractor at work and twisted my left leg when I tried to get off. I heard a pop. Hoping I didnt do any real damage.

Denise, when I went to the gym with my personal trainer, I gained a few pounds and she said that was muscle and it was good. I really started toning up. I can't wait to go back in April. My friend Jackie from work is going to join with me. Hopefully Tom will go with me too when we have days off together. I hate how my legs get when I work them. I really bulk up in the front/side part of my lower leg and it looks weird lol. She said she never saw that happen before either lol. But my legs were hard as rocks !!!

Hi mikki

Free, glad your feeling a little better. Hope DS is ok. Our gym costs $35 a year to join the gym, and $29 a month for single or $39 a month for family up to 3. My trainer is $20 an hour. The owner does fitness competitions and has been featured in several fitness magazines including Oxygen. Here is their website Tina Rigdon We live in a fairly small town so I think its cheaper than bigger cities.

Trisha....I'm glad to hear you are dropping weight again! I'm really and truly rootin for ya and want you to be happy with your accomplishments. You deserve it girlfriend!

Free...I ran 5 miles today! Again by the water all the way thru. I could have ran more but time was running out so I had to turn around and come back. Goes to show you the treadmill which I still do on my strength training days is all about endurance for me. I think I'm gonna make it an endurance and speed thing while I'm on it and make my outside runs more of a nonstop distance thing. I'm picking up on the endorphins of runner's high and IT'S AWESOME! Incidently, trainers range from different prices at different places. I got 2, 1 hour sessions for $99 but I think I'm going to need more.

Hello to everyone......
Where's ADLMA?

Hello Everyone

I see we have a few new people here.....Welcome!!
I've been taking the combo for awhile now & really expected to see a diff after TOM...but ...Not!! Perhaps in awhile.

But for right now I hope you'll all allow me to vent

Let me explain first
DBF and family are all Huge!!! They eat poorly but blame heredity...yea right!
Many are 250 & upwards. When I met DBF I was very thin....well to make a long story short ( I'll try). I have found over the yrs that the only way they can deal with their heavy weights...is to make all or most around them FAT. Needless to say....they've sabotaged me to death .. to a heavy weight. I've been fighting this fight for the last 7 yrs. You all must know what I mean.... their buying great amounts of junk foods and crap foods, high bad carbs junk etc., making sure there wasn't enough $$ left for any good foods.
.... also: At most there would be enough "good food" for 1 person for about 3 days.....leaving nothing but "crap" for the remaining 11 days before pay.
They made sure to learn as much as possible about my lifestyle eating plan Woe..... to be able to mess me up. It really came down to eating "crap" food or starvation at these times.........so of course it follows that I've gained a great deal of weight.
--otherwise sabotaging me by cooking meals before I have a chance to....meals combining foods which I can't eat.

I am now trying even harder to eat by my woe...with only some success, but I won't stop trying either.
Now my vent: What got to me today was his father...made me soooooo angry I had to leave the room before I started spitting nails in his direction.
He said to me "my god woman ....."you look like your pregnant, about 9 mths", of course with no kindness at all. I held back the tears until now. They all act towards me like they are ashamed to have me around.......What utter nerve!!!

A couple people in "the family" have lost large amounts of weight due to starvation methods over time....and despite the fact that even when skinny I NEVER said anything nasty to them about their weights, nor did I treat them badly either. Well, badly is the way they treat me ....or worse ....making sure to brag of their losses EVERY TIME their here. They watch every morsel I put in my mouth.....& I've over heard them speaking badly of me about it all.

MY God...... I could have been horrible to them back then and part of me now wishes I had been. But then there is the mature intelligent side of me which knows better than to treat people so awful, which does make me proud of myself.

I'm REALLY Sooooooo Sorry to have laid this on you all....but right now I really have to speak to someone about it. I feel about a worthless as a person can ever get.
Again....I'm so sorry

Laurie, we are here for you. Feel free to vent anytime. Thats very insensitive they are being like that with you. They seem like very insecure people. I'm glad you have enough class not to insult them like they are doing to you. What does your bf say about all this. have you talked to him about how important this is to you and that you really need his support right now to be healthy? It would be nice if he would join you and you could do it together

to you

Mamalaurie- Don't be sorry and please DO NOT feel worthless!! Some people just need to bash you to make themselves feel better. I know it still hurts and youdon't deserve that, nobody does. Try to let them say what they want and just know that at least are taking initiative to change!
Like they say, you can always change your weight, but they will always be hateful.
People have a tendency to try to bring others down when they are happy. I am currently dealing with this type of situation. Not a family member, but a supposed friend/neighbor
Again and I hope you can let this go and move on and up!

Chic- AWESOME!!! WTG!! Girls are usually better with endurance rather than speed. It's good though because at least when everyone burns out, you'll still be there Congrats really and keep it up. I am hoping to join you soon!!!
I just can't get over your transformation!! YOU ROCK!!
