Thanks guys-I really didn't want to post before pics, but DANG, I can see the difference now and I feel good! Yes, I wear a size 16, I just have NO butt so the pants look too big!
As to how I did it-Portion control, some exercise and the last year has been low carb. Not much loss the last year, but many lost inches

Lisa-Sorry about your cheese

Chic-RATS! Too funny!!

Evening all. Still enjoying spending time with DD while she is hear. I've slacked doing my callan (only random stretches/exercises here and there and that isn't good). I will have 3 days after youngest DD goes back before oldest DD comes home from TN, so I will try to be good and do it then.

Chic - WOW!!!!! You look GREAT!!!!!!

Marsha - Holy moly, you have achieved so much! You look great and I can tell you are toning your belly!

Kathy - OMG, you, too, look wonderful!

Freeing - I can see a difference from this most recent pic since the last one which wasn't last long ago. You go girl!

What an inspiration you all are!

Denise - You are beautiful! Nice to see "you" in your avatar.

Lisa - Another rat at the office.

Metqa - That is funny about the TOM sticks. My youngest DD had a roomy that would eat all her food last year. Eventually, she started putting post-its on ALL her food, even food in the refrigerator. The girl finally stopped eating her grub.

Speaking of eating....mine is out of control today. I think it is because I had to drink a bottle of orange flavored sugar water yesterday. Today I feel like I can't eat enough food. I had 2 eggs and 1 piece of bacon for breakfast with coffee around 7:30 a.m. Around 10 a.m. I was starving and craving cream of wheat. I have a box here that you have to make on the stove and I made myself some but only ate 1/2 cup of it with a packet of splenda. I was craving carbs. Then, I had grilled chicken for lunch on some lettuce. I ate 1/2 NY strip steak for dinner and some broccoli and now I am going to eat some cheese. I keep heading for some chocolate, but have held it and then put it back in the foil!!!! I'm acting like it is TOM but that is 8 days from now.

Oh, and I had some home-made whipped topping made with heavy cream until thick w/a little splenda and then I sprinkled cocoa powder on it and ate that in the afternoon (between lunch and dinner) along with drinking a cup of coffee with cream. I think I definitely had a calorie UP day.

I would have posted earlier, but between copy/pasting the various recipes & home responsibilities.... I only just got done a few mins ago

Boy I'm not so sure about all the variations people came up with.... not sure they would work as well as the original; so I'll stick with the original for now.

Again Thank you friend

Ok, I just saw this link that said, "Lose five inches of belly fat in 30 days or it's free"; and with all this talk about CLA/GLA and it's effect on belly fat, I clicked on it. And you know what it says at the top of the page? "Introducing all new C9-T11..." Uh... yeah, that's CLA. Aren't people hillarious? They're marketing it as the best "new thing", they've got great add copy and they're charging much more for it than CLA costs. That's some gimmick; well, at least we all know the product is likely to work for the people that buy it. Just a shame that they've gotta pay more for it... if only they'd found LCF first.

Michele - Thank you Yes, please keep us informed of the results. The glucose can knock your body out of whack. Just try to eat some good healthy carbs with protein when cravings kick in. Keep fueling your body with what you know it needs to kick cravings! Fat, protein and minimal healthy carbs!! I know it's hard, but you CAN do this!!

As for me, I measured today I was going to wait but, I couldn't!
Now I don't have exact measurements from before because they are on my toher computer which broke, but DH remembered most of it he thinks, plus I just don't know them down to the 8ths YK?

So
Under bust: 38.5inches----> 36 inches
waist: 36 inches------> 33 7/8 inches
belly pooch: 41.5 inches-----> 37 and 7/8ths
hips: 41.5 inches-----> 39 inches
Thighs: 22 1/4 inches------> 21 1/8 inches

More than 12 inches since before Callanetics I am loving that my belly pooch is actually smaller than my hips now

Those measurements are rockin, Freeing!

I'm really diggin this combo. I took my measurements and weight on Wednesday morning. I even took a few horrifying pics . Anyhow, I've been off the bandwagon for a while and I was all the way back to 241. and my pooch was... well my pooch was more like an inflated paraschute. This was day one of the combo.

I had no cravings and no real desire to eat as soon as I began the combo. I'd eat low carb and, unintentionally low calorie, I'm sure. Toward the evening my appetite would somewhat return and I ate a regular dinner both Wednesday night and last night. Last night, I'd even tried some of the bread pudding that I made for my bf.

Yesterday morning my belly looked slimmer and I measured myself, just for kicks. 1/2 inch off belly; cool. I stepped on the scale and had dropped down to 239.4. Also cool. Well last night I started my TOM but this morning looked slimmer, still. I hopped on the scale and I'm down to 237.5. This may not seem like much to some, but it took me a whole month of low carb (no cheating) to drop 8 pounds when I did it a few months ago. And around TOM my weight always shot up. So here I've lost 3.5 pounds in two days of halfway doing low carb, even though it's TOM; and all that's changed is the combo... I am souped. Oh, my only exercises have been deep aerobic breathing and some isometric contractions.

Final weigh-in before leaving for cruise and I was 218.6. My goal was 215 so a little short. We don't embark until Sunday at 1:30 so may still be able to drop a few pounds.

I'll post some progress shots when I get back.

Hey you all, the doc's office called this morning and he wants to see me Monday morning at 9:30, so I figured all results were in. I then called the outpatient hospital lab and asked if they could copy the results and I went and picked them up. Looks to me like they are all in the normal range, so I am wondering why he wants me to come in for an appt., which will cost me $125!!!

Here they are:

Fasting Glucose: Result: 101 Range: 74-106 MG/DL
Gluc. Tolerance Test - 2 Hr. Gluc. Result: 107 Range: 65-140

HA1CP HGB. A1C Result: 5.5 Range: 4.8-5.9%

INSX - Insulin Level Result: 4 Range: <17 uIU/mL

Free T3 Result: 3.8 Range: 2.5-4.3 PG/ML

FT4 Result: 1.2 Range: 0.9-1.7 NG/DL

Then there was this note at the bottom: Impaired glucose tolerance in nonpregnant adults -- The fasting glucose must be between 110 and 125 MG/DL and/or the two hour glucose must be between 140 and 200 MG/CL.

So, that looks to me like I'm in the normal range...I am wondering what he is thinking. My fasting glucose is 101 and that means it is at the high end as 106 is the highest. Maybe he thinks I am insulin resistant.

What do you think, Vickilynn?

maybe he just need money for spring break lol. doctors are funny creatures about things. i would wait and see , more than likely just wanting to talk to you about lifestyle and tell you what your results mean. they are actually not supposed to talk to you by phone about results so could be just his way.

Yeah, you are probably right. I just hate the thought of having to charge my doc visit!

I got a half hour of callan in this morning, and was interrupted by the doctor's office calling. After that, I didn't finish.

Michele....I'm glad to hear that your tests seem normal. Can you just call the doc up to discuss the results instead of going in? Then if he has more to do with you it would be neccessary to go back in and see him.
