Hey guys,

I've been checking in and reading, but haven't had much to say.

I'm so sorry about those of you who have been the victims of theft. Some people are just unbelievable to steal from one another, no matter how small or big, it's still a violation.

Kathy: I pray your surgery goes well and you recover quickly. G-d bless you. ::::

I've been doing a bunch of reading and found that Acetyl-L Carnitine is essential for me. I think that's why the Combo has done nothing for me. the carnitine helps the body BURN fat and the combo is useless without this.

Also, I have CFS and Fibromyalgia and the Acetyl-L Carnitine has been shown to be deficient in CFS and FMS patients. It is one of the foundation recommendations of Dr. Teitelbaum, a specialist.

So, I started the ALC and stopped the combo for now. I'll wait abut a month and then restart the Borage Oil only and see if that makes a difference.

I encourage everyone to read about the Acetyl-L Carnitine and see if it might benefit you.

Mikki.....so you had a cheat meal! Yesterday was my cheat day and I TORE IT UP! Today I'm back on track again and will be until my next C.D. which will be on Saturday again. I feel like my body believes it has enough calories coming in so it won't mind using up the fewer calories I am eating today and thru the week.

Free...I ran in the gym today becuz I was limited on time but....I kicked up my speed today to 7! Since I was running faster I had to walk and run. Feeling strong now....won't be long now.... (Singing the theme to Rocky)

Looking forward to seeing everyone's progress pics in a few days! Yay!

I have successfully completed my 2 days of M&E and am happy to report the appetite monster is under control once again (for now anyway ). I will have a normal lc day tomorrow like Marsha-my carbs will be 30-40 and Tuesday we refeed. Very curious to see how this will all turn out. I will continue taking my supplements including the GLA.

Morning everyone!! O"fficially said goodbye to the 160's this morning!!!!!

I am really excited and the Callan is toning up all the right places, so a bathing suit in Florida isn't looking too daunting now!!

My menu for the day is-

B- OMM bread BET (this fills me up more and curbs hunger for the rest of the day...I am hungrier if I have the oopsies first thing...took me awhile to figure that out!)

L- Oopsies cheeseburger

D- Spaghetti squash with turkey meatballs and evoo, parm, garlic, pepper

Snack of cherry essence prunes(this may help some things)

This makes my carbs 41g for today...I am thinking of upping them about 100g tomorrow or so, oatmeal in the morning, extra veggies ,etc..we will see how it goes!

Pathetic thieves

[quote=metqa;10040459]My car was broken into yesterday and three of my bags with most of my Japanese textbooks and all of my ESL Class Text books, lesson plan and materials were stolen in addition to my emergency crank radio, and a grocery bag full of expired high carb food for charity. They also stole my hat that had my PB and Mayo

metqa: OMG I'm soooooo sorry to hear some low-life did that to you!!!
MG....some people are just sooooo pathetic !!

Yes....oh Yes ...do the posters !!! At least then you'll have many more eyes and ears looking for your belongings too.
1st phone the book stores to give them the heads up. Might just be a bit speedier, at least until you can get the pixs to them.
Note from experience: contact bookstores etc in surrounding areas and towns too. Thats how we found my son's guitar equip and the thieves who stole them.
Also DO NOT state the exact condition of your belongings on your poster or the amount of the reward. This puts you in a better position for identifying your things when you get phone calls about them. Make sure you have the caller describe the items....not you.
NEVER post your address on posters either.....the thief or others may just come looking for more.

When the person comes to return your belongings ....make sure to ALWAYS have friend there with you...... "freaks" might try to take advantage of the situation...have your cell-phone with you too.
I really don't mean to scare you, but caution for your personal safety should always come first.

Also If your school has a bulletin board (s)....especially any which deal with used textbooks for sale........ this is an excellent place to look for any ads posted by the thief and a great place to put up your poster to alert others.

I've never had to do posters like this myself.....only for lost or found animals..... So I'm not so good at what should be on them. Sorry!!!

I will for a speedy return of your things

Marsha thank you for the heads up about moving the clocks ahead 1 hr. I'd forgotten all about it Sure enough DBF came him figuring he would be able to be a smart--a... about it all & asked me "IF" I remembered to do this....... Thanks to you !!! it was done & he looked the fool, not me (he thought he could make ME look stupid ) Again Thank you

Lisa its too bad your hubby didn't take pixs ....that would have been sooooo cute to see.
Don't worry about your tummy....I'm sure that soon enough you'll "whoosh", that with your Callanetics will shape you up soon......you'll be posting pixs here of your "new bod" and we'll all be green with envy.

I second the feelings about needing the "whoosh fairy" now.

Now that was funny .....what your brother did with the pork sandwich, serves that thief right. My son had a problem like that at school once........ I made him his fav tortilla wraps.....and I huge pile of seriously "HOT" peppers to the middle ( he could take some out if it wasn't stolen). Well sure enough that kid running around screeching was the "thief" lol He NEVER bothered my son's lunches again lol

mikki If you "need" a rifle.....I've got several here to choose from ...lol

I hear ya about co-workers like that !! If your boss wants YOU to move up, its because your present work has proven you are worth it & capable. This is also the reason your boss its trusting you with doing more assignments. The boss clearly "believes in you" .

Don't worry bout your jealous (green monster type) co-worker.....her statements to you are to keep you "down" and from surpassing her. Go for the promo!!! you deserve it !!!

Gheeesh don't you just hate when other people who don't understand or don't agree with "your" food choices push "those" foods on us. Glad to see you're back on track.

Jilly: You're doing fabulous!!

FreeingMyself: Start waving....... I have every confidence in you that you'll NEVER see 160's again. Congrats!!!!

where would I find the recipe for "oopsies" ??

ALLLLRIGHT !! Someone else that likes brussels sprouts too. I just love them. DBF says I'm weird lol

ALC

MountainGirl Thanks for the heads up about the ALC.

Why?? won't the combo work without this?

Is it necessary to stop the combo for a month ?? and then only take with the borage oil ??

If ALC will speed up the fat burning, therefore weight loss, I would be willing to try it.

Chic- i really meant to run BUT had the chance to meet the cast of "Army Wives" here on post and did that instead It was great and there were only about 24 of us that got to meet them! We got autographs and pics...everything!! SO COOL!

Mamalaurie- Thanks! I do love brussel sprouts...yummy! The oopsie recipes are on the board..I think in the recipe forum, but they are awesome and easy to make! I am crossing my finger to never seeing the 160's again either
