I'm glad I wasn't imaging the heels ..... I too use to get cracks on my heels and viola ..... my heels are very smooth. Also no stains on my lower teeth.

Been lurking on this thread for awhile now (and pulling with Nutriva EVCO for about a week). This question ^^ from back in March is also a big concern of mine, but I noticed that no one responded back then.

When I watch myself pull in the mirror, I can see the fines lines around my mouth (on top especially) and I'm so afraid I'm going to make them deeper if I continue pulling.

Has anyone watched themselves in the mirror? Is this a concern for anyone else? Am I "squishing" incorrectly? If I have to choose between mouth lines and yellow-ish teeth, I'll go with the yellow-ish teeth!

Thanks for all the inspiration though. You guys are great!

I posted that question twice in this thread, the latest one in March or so. Thanks for responding! I am oil pulling, but not regularly, because everytime I do it, I worry about the "lines"! I guess I am vain, also, but I really worry about that!

Hello everyone - still waiting for my order

of coconut oil to come in - I got it online because I couldn't find it at my local shop rite or health food store So it's on its way - can't wait to get started. Meanwhile, I'm doing FABULOUSLY on what I am now calling the IXPA Ixtapacheryl!!! Diet. I have lost 9 pounds - I started on April 19th, so I am THRILLED beyond thrilled - I always gained weight when doing Atkins - I think it was all the dairy... I have no clue. All I know is 1. I'm losing weight, 2. I feel AMAZING 3. I'm NEVER hungry, 4. I LOVE my food (truly critical for me, a food addict) and 5. I have MORE than HOPE that I will SUCCEED (what's that?). After a 10 year struggle, this is a miracle. Beyond a miracle...

Ixtapacheryl: Thank you!

Good to see new people here...

I printed out that "Ixtapcheryl Diet Plan" a couple of weeks ago when you mentioned it in this thread. It sounds very intriguing!
I was on Atkins for 4 1/2 months and lost about 27lbs, but then after another 4 1/2 months, I hadn't lost even one pound! I finally switched to Stillman's on 4/21, and I have lost 6.5lbs. It was wonderful to FINALLY see the scale move!
I'm going to look at your "diet" again because it looked more "doable" to me. I may switch over!
Sorry if this is a "threadjack".
I am still oil-pulling except that I do miss some days.

Hey, Kiki!!! Sometimes we just get busy concentrating on other things. No biggy. I have done it my self. Priorities change. The great thing is that you know it works and can go back to it when other things slow down.

Tooter! You are so right! With so much on my mind at the moment, for me anyway, it just seemed to be the thing that went...

Cheryl, how is your husband? I meant to ask you a lot sooner... I pray he is improving daily...

Thank you so much for asking. He's doing fine. Went back in the hospital on 4/21 and was released on 4/23. He developed double vision on 4/17 and I thought I should call the neurologist on 4/21 (the day he told me about the double vision). He was ordered back in the hospital for another MRI. That turned out negative - NO new stroke. They also did a spinal tap - nothing. He's doing better - going 3/week for facial rehab and stimulation. His smile is even and his speech/slurring is much better.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers.

I'm so excited that you lost weight and feeling great. It really does work - but make sure you eat often - take a good multi-vitamin/mineral capsule. Keep me posted on your loss. Summer is right around the corner.

What I do is clench my back teeth and push/pull that way - not a lot of skin moving around. Try that .... as long as the oil is being pushed and back forth in and through the teeth is all you care about.

ixtapacheryl - thank you SO MUCH for that tip! I sat here and tried it (without oil) and, yes, clenching the back teeth makes all the difference in the world. I've had good results after just a week, so I really didn't want to stop. I will have to re-train myself to do it your way.

So nice to hear that good report about your DH. I'll be glad to offer a prayer for both of you as you go through this difficult time.

I'm too new (?) in any case, I don't want to be the thread highjacker, so, if you could please let me know how I can - if it's ok with you - PM or email you!

Many thanks!

Speedy is smelling the flowers! (zinnias?) What a beautiful cat!

As for the coconut oil, I used to take mine in my coffee, and I loved it. I have stopped ingesting it as I am on Stillman's right now. I do still use it for oil pulling.

I have read that a lot of low-carbers fry their eggs in it, and they add it to their one-minute muffins. Then there's the coconut bark and on and on . . .
Good luck on your induction!

Thanks, Speedy

I do have a whole foods about an hour from me - but lazy thing that I am, I went ahead and ordered it. I will probably have it tomorrow. I am hoping it will help with my lowers - which are dingy looking - my uppers are all caps, so there's quite a noticable difference.

Good luck on induction!

Melissa ..... you are indeed a newby! Get busy and post so you can access PMing. I don't know how many posts you have to have under your belt. Maybe RockyMtn. knows...... You are doing great ... KUTGW on the weight loss.

Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers. My husband is just not a patient type of person - he wants to wake up and feel 100% better in just one day. We go to the neurologist this afternoon so will update you later.

On the CO - I much prefer when the oil is more solid. When it's in that state I take a heaping tsp. for pulling. When it turns liquid I have to use a tablespoon. Our evenings are still cool so this morning is was solid

Have any of you gone for your dental cleaning lately and if so - we want to hear results ...

I have a cleaning appointment next Tuesday, the 6th. I don't necessarily get the same hygienist each time, so I'm not sure they'll notice. I'm definitely going to ask though! My teeth have never been too bad, except for some yellowing on the bottom half of my lower teeth. And that is considerably improved after just after a week and half of pulling with the EVCO.

I was nervous about this upcoming appointment because of an unusual swelling on my upper gum that appeared about 3 weeks ago. I have a crowned tooth that was getting to be quite sensitive. I was afraid the swelling may have been the start of an abcess (I think there might be a cavity under that crown). The swelling wasn't painful and knowing that I had this upcoming appointment, I decided just to wait it out.

Well, now that I've been pulling for the last 11 days, the swelling is almost gone. Just a tiny bit left and the tooth sensitivity has vanished. I'm hoping by Tuesday, the swelling will be gone completely.

Melissa, I don't remember exactly, but to PM, it's something like 30 days membership and 30 posts {maybe 25?} I skimmed thru the TOS but didn't see it... Maybe someone will come in who knows for sure...

Get to posting, and it looks like you may be close on the membership part...
