Good Evening all , Well I read and read and read the thread, I did my research, My first thought was you are going to hurl !!!!!
Well after reading all of the benefits, I went to kroger got me a big ole bottle of the sunflower oil. Thought ok , it cant be all that bad..... Well there is no flavor , which helps first time I only went 7 minutes but better then nothing. My daughter did it with me and then my son came over and tried it too. We have all three been pulling for 4 days now for 20 minutes, some days twice a day. I love it , my teeth are whiter, all of ours are. I feel really goofy but my eyes looked brighter today dont know if this had anything to do with it or not but everyone could tell. I will continue and update you all as I go along but anyone that is thinking they cant do it you have nothing to loose , I thought the same thing. Paula

I dont have an answer for those asking what if your oil isnt white or starts out white. If it doesnt turn white, my thought is maybe you aren't that toxic to begin with. If you use coconut oil, I think that you go for 20mins regardless. Then again, I'm no expert

Well I just tried this tonight and I have to say I am hooked from the get! I used EVCO and did the full 20 right off the bat.
My teeth feel so clean!!!!!! They look a little whiter too, although that's probably just me. *shrug* Thank you for getting back to me regarding the crowns RockyMtnAngelEyes and RockyMtnAngelEyes. I was worried that the OP might loosen the cement or damage the crowns or something. Goodness knows they are so darn expensive!!!!! As far as nausea and waiting 4 hours after eating goes, I only waited 2 hours and I felt fine. I was excited to try it and couldn't wait the full suggested 4 hours. Thanks for a great informational thread. |

Wow, my teeth are getting whiter. I'm amazed. I wonder what it is about the oil that does that. I'm using sesame oil.

Look in the Aisle with baking and cooking oil for the LuAnne version. Like with flour, chocolate, and shelf butter. It is refined and tasteless. I don't know if they have an unrefined version. I didn't see one.

The LouAnn is in the Baking section and is now about $3.67? I buy that for cooking and the last time I bought it, it was under $3.
The Virgin Coconut Oil is in the Vitamin Section of Wal-mart. It's $10. I'll cook with the LouAnn, but I oil pull and eat (put in my tea or make bark) out of the Virgin. I also use the Virgin on my skin. In a pinch I buy the Virgin at wal-mart, but usually buy Nutiva at the health food store. I have checked prices and the best price for Nutiva seems to me Netrition. I think I'm going to start buying from there.

![]() The more I use it the more I like it, the virgin. It even makes savory dishes taste yummier. I think I will keep the Luanne for body lotion and cooking for BF who LOATHES coconut. But after my Spectrum C.O. is used up, I'm gonna order Nutiva Also.

OMG!!! Metqa, I just went to Wal-mart and the Louanne Coconut oil is up to $4.37!!! I swear I bought 2 jars of it (3 months ago) and it was like $2.79.
I checked the Price about 2 weeks ago and it was $3 something. That's a big hike in the price. Anyways, I bought some Castor Oil at Walmart today (you can find it in the laxative Section). I'm going to alternate between Virgin Coconut oil, Sweet Almond Oil and Castor Oil for "Pulling". RMAE, Get back to "pulling", sweetie!! It does make a difference. ![]() ![]() |

Thank you metqa & Tooter. I checked Walmart today in the baking section, no luck.
So I checked the health area (includ vitamins).... no luck. I swear we have the worst Super-Walmart around. I went back to the store where I bought it for 10.00, but they no longer stock it. Seems I'm batting a 1000 here lol |

At my store, the price of unrefined coconut oil went up by a dollar, I bought the last three jars before the price jumped. You may have to go to a health food store, or just get it from Netrition.

Well, I did it. I sat here reading for I-don't-know-how-long and realized I could have tried it twice over in the time I have been sitting here. I used CO and had to chew it at first, which was weird, but after that it was OK. I went the full 20 minutes and didn't gag.
My teeth certainly feel cleaner and I think they look a little whiter . I'm going to keep it up for for awhile and see what happens. |

Tooter, I am back to pulling...
Just had to much going on, to even mess with it.. More power to you... I can't even fathom using castor oil...![]() ![]() I wonder why the price is going up so much on y'all's CO? Is it gas prices, hiking it, like everything else.. |

The price of CO Oil? The Virgin has stayed the same and the cooking CO (the cheaper stuff) has REALLY gone up. You would think it would be the opposite, wouldn't ya? ![]() The only thing I can figure out (or notice) is that more people are using the Cooking CO. When I first noticed it in the baking section, there was lots of it. Now? Only a jar or two. They seem to always be "almost" out of it. Maybe more and more people are realizing that this is a better oil to cook with? I don't know. It's just strange. I hope things are going better for ya, sweetie and "Slowing down". ![]() |

Tooter, I'm pulling as I type...
![]() That really is odd, the way the pricing is going. Yes, I would think it would be the other way around... I hate the taste of coconut, so I don't pay any attention to it or price... I did try to use it in my coffee, after I gagged when I tried to just take it plain.. Just can't do it... I will, at some point, try the one Cheryl uses, and swears it has no taste... ![]() |

Hello all!!! Hope you are all doing well!!
For the first time in 2 weeks or so I forgot to oil pull yesterday!! And this morning when I woke up is when it hit me , I had the worst morning breath and taste I have ever had in my life!! Good thing hubby had to leave earlier then I got up , other wise he prolly would have wished he had!!! Things I have noticed since I started are- Teeth are getting whiter, stains are fading faster then I expected, plaque is going fast also!! The dark circles under my eyes are gone,my skin under my eyes now matches my face, I have not put any creams or lotions on my feet since I started and man what an improvement there!!! What awesome changes in such a short time!!! I still am using the sunflower oil, not bad at all no taste that is for sure!! Well hope you are all having good results and still pulling !!! Paula |

I'm still pulling. My teeth are looking better every day and I have to look very hard for the brown stains, they seem to be shrinking!

Well I finally got my VCO, but at the expensive health store I was trying to avoid. $13.00 for 454 g (1 lb).
![]() I'm using it for general health & hopefully weight loss, not for pulling. I'm using sunflower oil for that, which works great! ![]() Hopefully, I'll stumble on VCO cheaper somewhere. ![]() |

I'm so happy to hear you are all experiencing great results....
Sorry I haven't been on lately. We thought my husband got Bell's Palsy the last two weeks but while driving home last Wednesday from shopping (I was driving) he totally passed out. I had to hit his chest to get him to start waking up. Got home and called 911. They whisked him away to the hospital. What they discovered was he never had Bell's Palsy - it was a mild stroke in his brain stem. All the symptoms were identical to BP but his brain scan showed it was a stroke. When they thought it was BP - they prescribed steriods and they think that caused him to lose consciousness in the car. OMG I thought I was going to have a heart attack when I couldn't wake him up in the car. Thank God he wasn't driving. Well he was released last Friday and is doing better. He is still slurring his words a little, the numbness is receding but the skin under his left eye is still drooping. He has shooting pains - but that is actually a good thing because it means the nerves are "waking up". So that's the news on this end. Now I have to figure out how he can prevent from having this again. Any suggestions? ![]()

Oh Cheryl...
I've been thinking about you, and wondering where you were... I'm so sorry sweetheart.. And you were so blessed he wasn't driving, and he wasn't alone, you were there! How scary this has been for you... Know that you are both in my thoughts and prayers... I have great shoulders if you need to just talk or anything.. Please don't hesitate to use them! I am believing he will be fine. The nerves are healing and soon he will be healed... |

You are so sweet! Yes he's doing well and I'm like you - a very positive person. Tomorrow he has his cartoid ultrasound.
I forgot to mention that on Friday when I was taking him home from the hospital we got on the same road - but this time closer to our house and he fainted again in the car. Finally he woke up and I said I was going to call the doctor and he refused to allow me to do so. He even said I can't tell the doctor's when he goes for his appointments this week. I think he just had a drop of blood pressure plus the anxiety of driving down the same street where it happened on Wednesday. I've been watching him closely and has had no episodes since then. I'm back to OPing and taking my vitamins. Gosh when a family member goes into the hospital all routines go by the wayside - don't they. Hugs - C P.S. I forgot to mention - the maddening thing is he lost 10# in 2 weeks prior to the trip to the hospital. Now he can have fun gaining the weight back while I sit and cry watching him eat.....
