Hello everyone,

Are any of you doing CLA only? I've been lurking here for a while and a week ago I picked up some CLA and Evening Primrose (couldn't find Borage Oil). After a couple of days of taking 8 additional pills in the morning, I ordered the liquid CLA and Borage Oil for Netrition and actually received the order the next day. The liquid is nasty but better than the 5 pills I had to take. Anyway, I started getting terrible headaches once I started the CLA/GLA combo. I read that the Evening Primrose can cause headaches. I goggled Borage Oil and this to can cause headaches. I decided to skip the Borage Oil the last 2 days and no headaches. I was just wondering if I'd still get same of the results many of you are.

Thanks,
Sue

Sue.... I too was getting headaches but I upped my water intake and they went away. Dunno if it's coincidence or not. I don't get them anymore. During last summer before I ever knew about this thread, I was taking just CLA and it did really good for me.

Size 9/10 pants? You're almost there Mikki and I really like the flowing hair!

Mikki - Girl, you make me sick (in a good way), You are soooo damn cute. WTG

MG - The VitaMix was the best machine ever invented. I have gone through 2 motors I use mine so much. Only way I can get veggies and fruit into my son consistantly with my smoothies. I first bought mine to make my own baby food 8 years ago. I love making my own PB too.

Phil - Good Boy!!! Your luck you would have been driving when they went and kicked youself for not fixing it earlier.

Lucky - My Dad used to own Atlas and you look like someone that worked for us.

Chic - Brady is that , but as they say Chargers may get lucky even though the Pats have the best record a loss today will keep them from the Super Bowl (go figure!)

Tom - Keep up the great work - You and Trisha are so lucky to have each other to stay motivated.

Morning All! First I want to say Gratz to all the losers !!!

Thanks for asking about me MG! I had a hunger day yesterday so if I sat too long I wanted to eat so I kept moving and didnt sit long enough to post..lol.
Not sure if was new vitamins or what but I couldnt get full yesterday.

Today is my weigh in day and I am down another 1lb. So that makes me at 184. Lost a few inches too. ( These measurements are for 3 weeks)
Under bra went from 37-35 I am getting a curve finally to my waist area lol.
Waist went from 40-38. Hips 41-38. Wee and the muffin top seems to be fading some yay. When I suck in I can see little areas where if I lose some more fat Id have tone and definition. I have to help the toning along cause even if i lose another 50 lbs I cant afford surgery to tighten anything so I gotta hope nature helps me.

Mikki- You look great. I have a pair of 9/10 waiting on me soon. Im in an 11 so hopefully wont be long. When I can get in them and nothing hangs over I will be so happy.

Welcome to all the new people!!

Board is getting so full hard for me to post to everyone.

Big hello though to Chic, Michelle, Phil, Tom, Trisha, Free, MG, Mikki, smiley, Jane and gosh so many more!!

Menu:
B: 2 eggs cooked in butter, 1 oz sausage, 1/2 cream cheese danish, coffee w/cream

L: Turkey burger w cheese on cleo rolls

D: tilipia w/green beans sauted in coconut oil and butter

Going to try make meatloaf muffins for work next week. Tom and Trisha got me wanting them.

Ill be back as long as hunger monkey isnt riding my back when I sit down today.

Good Morning everyone. Congrats to those who had a loss of some kind. That is sooo cool !!!

Boy did I work hard yesterday. If I had know how hard I was going to work at my sisters house, I wouldn't have had to go to the gym in the morning. We moved everything out of the room onto 4 tarps and then reorganized it. My back, hips and legs and arms are pretty much in pain. But a good pain from all the workout. And now I have to do my own chores. The laundry will not do itself, darn it !!!

And the allergies are kicking in this morning. I want to be done by the time the games start. Looking forward to that !!

The scale isn't moving down for me but that is what happened the last time I took the combo but...my body is certainly changing. I was askeered to do so but I took a good hard look at myself nekkid yesterday and my back has smoothed out! It looks good nekkid! Not perfect by any means but definitely better. The big chunks of the not so attractive back boobs were not there. Also my loose skin on my abdomen (have a lot-went from 287 to 160 at one time) is looking looser and more wrinkly. Thank goodness for pantyhose-a chubby girls best friend!

Congrats to all you losers and body morphers out there this week!

Mikki - you look great! Does anyone know if you can or should take borage and evening primrose at the same time. I do take the gla/cla, but someone told me to add the primrose. What do you think? I found this new Dr. Pepper chocolate/cherry - going to try and make a whey protein shake somehow with that. Or, use it as a new desert with cream and maybe a little whip - we'll see. have a good day everyone!

Primrose oil & borage oil both contain GLA-why would you take them both?

Lis - good question - makes me feel really blond (although I really am!) ha I thought maybe the primrose had something else in it - didn't know....that borage didn't. Still reading up on it. Love all the wisdom here!

Hey Lis, here's another one for you or anyone else that might know... - I went to Walgreen's last night to get vitamins, etc., I saw in several brands, that they combined Borage Oil, Fish Oil, and Flaxseed Oil all in one tablet. I take my borage with breakfast and the fish oil with lunch so they are 3 hours apart, along with several other meds. I will go back and check the quantitites of each in the one tablet, but, what do you think about that?

I've seen this too and the only problem is that if I remember correctly the percentage of borage is low and you would have to take a lot of it to get your 500-1000 mg a day.

Good day friends, hi to all!

Marsha...for the measurments you described, it appears that you are moving along well. Sounds like some body sculpting is taking place.

As I've mentioned before, I hate the scale and measuring myself is a pain so I don't do it often but I'm getting excited to take my measurements and photos again soon. I've been working hard to meet my goal as you all have and am curious to see how my body has responded to the combo.
I was planning on doing this on the 9th of Feb, one month from when I first posted my measurements but you guys are all so motivating that I might do it sooner.

Good afternoon to all and congratulations to all who have lost inches, pounds or both. I've lost a big 0 and I don't believe the inches have budged, either. I'm a little sad over that, but I'm wearing big girl panties, so I'll keep plugging along.

We just found out that MIL's test is normal. Thank goodness!

Keep up the good work, everybody.

EATS:

B - coffee w/cream; sausage omlet
L - 1 roast beef and provolone cheese roll-up with 1/2 baby dill pickle in it
D - Hamburgers on the George Foreman grill

Hey Y'all!

Great job everyhone.

LISA: What great news!!!!

Y'all are going so wonderfully!!

Just a few minutes in between groups. I did well at my 1PM group, I only had some pot roast and the roasted green beans and cauliflower that I brought.

For the 6 PM group, I'm not gonna eat, just drink my herbal tea and stevia. Unless they have salad.

I'm outta the GLA so just taking my Borage Oil caps (4 a day) until the GLA arrives.

There's not much going on in here tonight. Everyone must be watching the Packers and Giants. It's all tied up at 20 with less then 2 minutes left in the game.

Hey! Chic has a new avatar!

I hope that those of you what weigh in on Monday morning have good numbers!
