I would like to have some of that sunny California weather tomorrow to install the master cylinder. High tomorrow is to be around 4 with windchills down to 22 below! I am SO thankfull for my garage and my propane heater in the garage! At least I'll be out of the wind.

I gotta go let the dog out. She won't be out there long!

MG - there is definitely a difference.....as long as we are talkin about differerences i got a "compliment" today.....about a year or so ago at my heaviest I was in a commercial for a local tv station for the hospital that i work for. It was before i got promoted and i was sick at the time......so sick that when they asked if they could film me in a mock appt i told them that it wasn't a mock appt, it was the real thing and i didn't care, i just needed to see my doc. Since he was in the commercial i didn't seem to think i had a choice...anyway one of my staff called me this afternoon and said "Deb, you need to tell the hospital to cancel the commercial because you are just TOO big!!!!!" Well during my silence she said" OH i'm sorry!!! I didn't mean it like that! I saw it and i didn't think it was you because you have lost SO much weight..it just didn't look like you!!!" Well after a good laugh i realized that there was proof out there that i had lost weight after all!!!!!!!

Here is a little tip that flight attendants (called stewardesses at the time) used back in the days when they needed to pass weigh in. That is weigh in below but above a certain requirement. One gal had a problem maintaining weight so she sewed fishing weights into the seem of her dress. If you're anything like my DH and have a lot of loose change hanging around, maybe you could put all those pennies, nickels and dimes you have in your home into YOUR pockets!

Hi all. I hope everyone is having a good evening. It is cold and wet here in San Antonio. I usually get up on Saturday mornings and go work out for a short time, but tomorrow it's supposed to be 31 degrees and I don't feel like getting up that early. The cold weather makes me want to stay in bed longer. I keep a chart of my weekly Saturday morning weigh-ins and I take my measurements. If I lose a significant amount of inches or weight loss, then I'll put it off until Sunday. If I don't, then I'll go to the gym. I'm trying to convince myself.

I'm going to help my sister move all her stuff out of her shed and then back in in an organized manner. So I do have my work cut out for me.

Trish, aren't those cleo rolls good !!! I just tried them yesterday for the first time and I can see that I will be making them alot more. This website has some incredible receipes.

Mountain Girl, your pictures look great, and you do too. thanks for the consoling note, I felt better in time to take DBF shopping with me, which is a rare treat.

He fusses at me when i don't eat Breakfast, I think it was too much too early, I can usually manage an Atkins RTD chocolate shake or several slices of bacon without problem. Even making a good egg, mushroom, sausage breakfast can knock me down a few notches even though I love the taste. I used to be the Iron Stomach. {sigh!}

It just occurred to me that I have not ate since 3:30 or 3:45 this afternoon. 7 freakin' hours ago. I got so wrapped in other stuff this evening that eating totally slipped my mind.

Hi Deanna! I love sleeping in on a cold morning. It's hard to get out from under those blankets! Hope you have a good weigh in tomorrow!

I have to eat clean this weekend to get a good weigh in on Monday.

Have a great weekend everyone!

MG - Love those LEGS!!! Work them to your advantage. By showing them like you did, I bet your DH was feeling a little friendly. You go GIRL!!!!!. You look so very familiar to me but I can not put a finger on it.

I looked at you blog: a Belated Congrats on your anniversary!! 25 years is no easy feat now a days. The write up of how you met is so sweet. Wish I could find one like that. Those Lace Loaves sounded fantastic, will have to try them with the family.

Mikki -- WOOOO HOOO!!! on you weight loss.

Phil - good luck with the master cylinder, make sure you have a window or door cracked using the heater, not passing out from carbon monoxide.

to all the Newbies. Looking forward to conversing with everyone.

Lucky - Even back buttward compliments are extremely up lifting. Good for you. Glad to hear that you have become unrecognizable from the ad, You may want to get a copy and use it as continued motivation that you are SUCCEEDING in your endeavor.

Hi & Trisha, Michele, Chic and everyone else I may have miss placed (the late shift and school work have my brain so scrambled - Oye Ve!!)

MountainGirl (and everyone else), thanks for the warm welcome. Yes, that's me on the motorcycle. It was taken in 04, the last time before now that I made any effort to lose weight! I didn't make goal then but plan to this time. "Mc" are the first letters of my last name but I like the "motorcycle" connection! My husband and I travel as much as possible on our bikes.
Your photos are great. I agree with the others that you have great looking legs---a great asset! Keep up the good work and again, thanks for the welcome.

Hi all. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Well, Phil, I gained a pound but lost 1 inch overall. So yes I got up and went to the gym. Did my cardio and leg work. Now, I'm going to my sisters house and help her move everything out of her shed. That should be a good workout. It was cold this morning but I couldn't sleep, so I just got up and went to workout at the gym.

Going to make some more good receipes this weekend

Sorry....everyone is talking about how cold it is where you are....I'm taking the boys to story time and then on to feed the ducks at the park. I wish I could send a bit of warmth your way to defrost you guys.

Dani, Lucki, you gals are up early this morning! I wish I could sleep in but my little hard chargers wake us up soooo early. Speaking of Chargers...wonder how San Diego will do against the Patriots....

Hi Deanna! Envious that you got your workout out of the way.

Hi Marsha and Sue!

Mikki, I did ALL the laundry last night! The hamper is empty!

Okay, I'll be back later to see what yall are up to.
Have a great morning!

Good morning Peeps!!

Hi to everyone!! I'm so glad to see this thread hopping!!

I've been at 179 for a couple of days, so maybe it will stick and not bounce up into the 180s. I am THRILLED to leave the 180s!!

I am ONE POUND from my lowest in 6 years (178 on Weight Watchers - 82 pound loss) and NINE POUNDS from my lowest in 25 years. I'm getting really jazzed thinking I might actually go lower than 170 (which was how much I weighed when hubby and I married 25 years ago next month). I haven't been that weight or below since then, in fact, I dieted for WEEKS to get there 'cuz I had to borrow a wedding dress and I had to squeeze into it!

Bad news, I ran out of the CLA. So I am praying I don't bounce back up before we can get some more.

It's starting to snow here so I am BAKING again!!
We have 3 church gatherings on Sunday, 2 of them are small groups where we bring covered dishes. I usually bake for both of these groups, my whole-grain bakery stuff.

For myself, I'll eat a salad at both places, with some protein. I'm really not even tempted by their food, it looks so, well, yukky to me!

Today I need to go over my Bible study notes, prepare the songs and prepare the food for Sunday's meetings. I won't be on much, if at all.

Have a wonderful day y'all!!

Jane- Julia Ross wrote the book and as far as shakes I would think they are better homemade. I be honest I tried the shake thing and all they did was make me wanna eat something with them lol. There is one on forums somewhere called Fawns shake its supposed to be healthiest one.

Dani....we can only do our best against the best team in the history of the NFL right??? That Brady sure is one hottie isn't he though???

So let me tell you what the second best thing about LCing is. Going to a really yummy Mexican restaurant with your family and not having the overwhelming desire to jump in head first into all the fatty carbs!!! I had previously eaten a protein bar so I sat there happily drinking a diet coke and was just fine.

Off to the gym to slay some lingering fat !!!

Hi jane!

I drink a protein shake every day. I use NOW Whey Protein powder and I add:
unsweetened cocoa
stevia
Fibersure powder
vanilla extract
organic flax seeds
ice and water and whiz it in my VitaMix.

I use Dutch Chocolate flavor. My kids say it tastes like hot chocolate, only cold!

Now that's motivation! One pound from from a 6 year low and nine pounds from a 25 year low. You have got to be all jacked-up about that. I'll be waiting for the news. Pressure's on now Mountaingirl! You will be there before you know it!

Master cylinder is on and my wife now has brakes! Man it feels good to be back inside!

Pot roast sounds really, really, really good right now. Too bad it is to late in the day to make it. Maybe tomorrow.

Alright, I have inside work to do now.
