Yes I am learning that too. I knew how my eating changed when I went out to eat and questioned the waiter to death about how they cooked food, was it real or imitation cheese, etc..lol. Im best off cooking at home. I am starting to like exercising again too. I cant wait for it to get warmer so I can walk outside. I hope my face slims down and I get rid of turkey neck lol. I tell you after only 3 hrs of callanetics I can see bones and muscles I couldnt before. I am totally impressed with it so far. BTW I have to thank Lisa , cause she is one told me I should maybe add fruit. I believe she was right on.

Well if you watch video you will think its no biggie, but doing the movements is something all together different. I tell you the next day I hurt in muscle areas I didnt know i had. There is a thread in exercise forum about it and Twyla aka watch me shrink talked to me about it, her before and after pics are amazing. Its kinda like pilates but it works the inner muscles more. It lengthens them so you dont bulk up. You can google callanetics and look at it. The videos are from the 70s but the instructor is amazing. Here is the before and after link. CALLANETICS BEFORE & AFTER PHOTOS

Wow, maybe I should look into that. I would love to start doing yoga or pilates, but focus is hard with a 2 year old

Hi All!!!! I'm baaaaack!

I'll post, as I read. So much has been posted since I was last on, I won't remember what to say!!!

Mikki - Giiiirrrlll, I hope you are feeling better. Thank you for the well wishes for my youngens!

Freeing - I did not know you were a military family. Thank you and your husband for all the things you do for the rest of us! My family and I truly appreciate it!

MG - Yes, the "crying nose" was illness.

Phil - Thank you so much for your well-wishes! We appreciat it.

Chic - Thank you too for your well-wishes! Sorry you just went through the same thing. It is sooo not fun!

Trish - I hate subject a 9-y-o to such abuse again, but I do believe I would put a recording device on her and video the abuse from a near-by place. I can't believe the cops agreed that a child should be treated like this! I'd speak to the patrolman's Lt.! I would not stop until I had some justice. Amazing! Good thing it was not my child, talk about a lion! They'd have on their hands! I'd make restitution, then have them for lunch!

Trish - That means you really weigh 190. Chuck your scales! I promise, if you use other scales, you are in the 190--barely.

Kathy and LisaB - CONGRATS!!!!

Freeing - I've been a little frightened to try Spag. Squash. Tell me the truth! Should I be?

MMof2 - Thank you so much for your concern about my girls. They are all much better!

Hi guys, I was absent yesterday due to out of town company. Enjoyed the posts especially Trisha's video- Hey, I know a lot of men who do that! LOL

Phil...I will have to get that chili recipe to you soon.

Anyway, I feel like I have cheered everyone on here for their success in losing lbs and iches so I'm really hoping you can be happy for me too.....here it goes.
Since Jan 9th, I have lost 5 and one half inches off my waist and almost 4 inches from my "bra fat area" (measured right under the bra) and almost 3 inches from my hips! A total of 11 lbs gone. Again this was since my last weigh in a measurements on January 9th.

This has been a celebrational day for me.

OK, this scale has got to go !!! I got up this morning and hit the scale. It said 199.2 !! I was so excited to get below 200 I went straight for the camera to take a pic of the numbers on the scale and when I got back on it said 201 !!! I re-weighed without the camera and it remained 201 !!! That scale is EVIL I tell you !!!! My jeans are looser though. Since I stopped the cla until I get the ThinFat, I am trying the Curvelle I got with my last Netrition order. So far, I have more energy. I'll let you know how its working. I do "feel" a little thinner

Phil, Tom is the same way. I always drive home from the casino cuz Tom usually wanders onto the rumble strips in the middle of the road . I guess it helps that I am a night shifter and can stay up later

Free, definately take pics !! a size 8 !! how awesome is that !!! I havent been a size 8 since high school lol.

metqa, I havent talked to my daughter since then. I need to call her and get an update on the situation. Your right, you have to ask for napkins, straws and condiments now, sheeeesh !!!

Kathy, I'm with you on the skinny men. I like my sweetie with a little meat on his bones !! Tom actually lost too much the first time around. I like him better a little squishy

Marsha, good going on the 184 !!!

Free, Congrats on the 163.5lb's

Mikki , you look great !!!

ADLMA, I would guess that her mom went and had a "talk" with them and thats why she got banned from there.

chic, WooHoo what an amazing progress report. Your go girl !!! Thats fantastic !!! bI reallyyyy need to start exercising. That is the key to success as you have proven !!

ADLMA- Don't be afraid of spaghetti squash at all, it's an awesome alternative to the "fake" pasta. I am personally trying to stay away from any fake foods that I don't personally make that's all!! NO OFFENSE to anyone who IS using these products!! I may take you up on changing my name if I can find out how to do it! I just did freeingmyself because it was a severe addiciton for me for my whole life.
And yes, I guess I just never mention that we are a military family because on some boards it starts discussions that I think are inappropriate for the board

Trisha- Don't worry, get a new scale Don't worry about that stupid thing anyway!! Look last night(yes I get on 2 times a day just so I can tell how much water my body is retaining through the day) and it said 168!! I woke up and weighed 163.5....I have NEVER retained that much weight throughout the day, so I was scared to weight in

I am currently cooking up some oopsies...yummy!! I made some the shape of flattened hot dog buns for my Italian turkey sausage, so I hope it works!!
I went and got DS and I shoes finally...I had to throw out my old shoes because since I have lost weight, I have lost a whole shoe size!! Anyone else??

Free, Trisha, Mikki, ADLMA, and Marsha.....thank you so much for your cheers and support!

Trisha, I believe you are exactly right. Exercise has been a BIG factor in my progress. If I can do it, you can too! By the way, I'd love to get a sledge hammer to your scale gal pal! It's messin with ya.

ADLMA.... Thanks for the compliment, my goal is to bring back the body that I had before I had my little guys. The exact same body would be impossible but I could try for really close.

Marsha....I think I was able to break thru the wall by cutting out some of the fat that I was consuming. I will try to post my menus as often as I can.

Free & Mikki....You gals inspire me to do as well as I can!

Freeing - I hear ya! I am keeping it real too. I am avoiding processed foods! DH, now there is another story. I am trying to keep whole foods as my children's first choice too. Thanks for the info on the squash. Perhaps I'll be brave and try it. I grew it once, chickened out on eating it, and let it all waste. I suppose some folks might say things that may be unappropriate, but I want you to know we truly appreciate all you and your family do for us. Thank you.

Chick - I think you are well on your way. It may not be the very same body, but I think you will be reall happy with the one you'll have once you hit goal. I bet you will like it even more than the pre-children bod! I wish you well!

We are expecting a nasty winter storm tonight through tomorrow. ice accumulation expected, so we may lose internet , and hopefully not power. News said they are using beet juice on the roads to melt the ice, how weird

Ok Marsha- Cut the squash and lay it skin side up on a sprayed cookie sheet. Bake it at 375 for about 30-45 minutes and gently stab with a fork to see if the skin is easily pricked. If so, it's done. Now when it's done, take a fork and start just "scooping" the stringy flesh out. You can put this in freezer bags to freeze as well since only you will be eating it. Just use it as pasta in any recipe.
You can make a lasagna ina bowl type with sausage or beef, ricotta, mozzarella, LC sauce, etc.
Or my yummy alfredo with sauce and ground beef.
Anything really!! Get creative!!

And I am going to cook up the sausage and try it tonight for ya!!

ADLMA- Thank you so much It' definately not a life for everyone!!
