MG- I would suggest to up your calories. 1200 is on the low side of things and if you start there you have nowhere to go. I think a good trick of the trade is to take your body weightx10 and try that for a few days. If you were intaking 2200 calories, just dropping to 1700 or so will knock 500 off a day!! I just don't want you to feel deprived while cutting back and adjusting

Justachic- When I drop my carbs, I just do strength training and some walking for cardio(play with my son too at the park) I do strength training 4x a week and get in as much household/playtime exercise as possible. If I try to do too much, I get lightheaded and pass out. Not a good thing!!

Now I want to know who stole my whoosh fairy??? I woke up to the same weight as yesterday. I think it's because I didn't go to bed til 1am and got up at 6am. I also drank Theraflu again yesterday because I can't kick this stupid cold. Good 8 hours of sleep always seems to leave me weighing less in the morning. Ah well, I'll get her back tomorrow I'm sure!!

Menu for today

B- BET sandwich(I just can't get enough of these lately, it just hits the spot)

L- Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, mayo on oopsie

D- Tuna salad with cucumber and yellow peppers and egg

And of course my coconut oil and combo

Im not sure I should post in this forum anymore. I have kinda stopped the combo a bit till I see what is causing my stall. So Im not really on the combo now. I am glad to see all the whooshes and exercise going on. I am doing the CO again now with no problem. I think it was the kind I was using was the issue. I am fighting off a cold so I am on antibiotics too so that may make me gain

MG- Lowering your calories that much will cause your metabolism issues and thyroid issues. Freeing is right 10x is what most suggest and more fat then protein is always suggested. I read thru some forum posts last night and seems most everyone loses with 65% fat, 35% protein and 5 % carbs or some variation but always fat higher than protein. So I am trying that now.

Menu:
B: 1 egg scrambled in butter, ham slice, coffee w /cream and splenda
S: 1/2 flax muffin
L: Salad with some type of protein and cheese
S: 1/2 flax muffin
D: Sauted shrimp in butter wiht snow peas and broccoli sauted in butter

ADLMA yeah even when I would supplement the diet with all the add-ons (that they fail to mention on TV of course) I would wind up ravenous no matter what which mean I was always cheating by adding some soup or something of that nature. Also the concept of just how processed that stuff was is indeed frightening to me as well. To compound matters I had forgotten about the whole "auto-delivery" thing so they managed to saddle me with a 2nd month of "rib-sticking" meals. When I went to the website to cancel I found out all I could do was postpone the delivery which I did. Then I tried calling in to cancel but wound up on hold for over 30 minutes before a customer called (I was at work) causing me to have to hang up. Long story short I totally forgot about cancelling and bang a 3rd month of crap food showed up at work. After that I did put in the 45 minute call to cancel without fail but there I was stuck with all this horrible food. Now mind you I ordered this stuff in late 2006 so it became my all encompassing goal as 2007 was sliding off the books to just go ahead and power through it all so that I may begin my return to the Atkins diet. I did the Atkins diet way back in 1998 when it was significantly tougher to follow up with as the low carb phenomenon had not quite swept the nation but I still did it with amazing results. This time around however I'm much more aware of acidosis which means I'll be doing a high alkaline version of Atkins until I can get my BMI down to a point that I'm happy with. My ultimate plan on making the transition to vegetarian, then to vegan with one month a year being strictly raw foods. I've been stuck in the squirrel cage for far too long and this time I'm not going back.

(sorry for the off topic rant on nutrisystem and how it sucks but thanks for letting me vent)

BUVY - I feel your pain! Even as I speak, I have Nutiyuck boxed up beside me. I got mine via a Q shopping network. Mine was easy to cxl, but I let, I think 3 months ship before I remembered to cxl. Sometimes, I think I ought to just eat the stuff and starve, then it comes to mind that it is well over a year old and has not altered in state yet. . .just sitting there like nuclear waste. I can't make myself eat it. Kudos to anyone who could and had success! I, however, can't believe I blew the fundage!

Now as for you gals clinging to the fairy -- aaaauuuuhhhhhmmm, please do send her my way! I sooooo need her!

MG - Keep don' what you have been doin'. Give your body a chance to see which way it wants to go, then tweak if you still think you need to. I fear you may fix what ain't broken. If those are your cats on the treadmill -- cute!!!

Deana - it is refreshing to hear of a close mom and son. Thank you for sharing. I know you feel blessed to have him with you during the hard times.

Phil - I think you still have the fairy locked up in your man-cave!

Trish - Are you still using that scale that fibs? If so, ya need to get rid of it! I sure would never never use that offensive meter either!

MMof2 - How are things today? I hope the weather was kind to you!

Mikki - sorry - I forgot ya, girl! Stay warm - keep the cats warm too! I hate to ask this, but are you sure you eat enough? DSD wants to know what kind of fish you have.

ADLMA, I feel great, umm i love baked talapia, sole, pollok, orange roughy, they are all so yummy baked in butter and garlic sauce. I usually eat about 4-5 oz of it daily. lunck time though. thanks for your concern hun, but i really dont miss dinner, as stated in my prevoius posts. i never ate b-fast, and no snacks, just lunch and dinner. But now that my body is use to eating b-fast and snacks and lunch i feel good. I think i eat more now than when i weighed 228 before the combo. I just ate the wrong foods at the wrong times, and never had b-fast to start my metabolism. but then again all i ever ate was massive amounts of carbs. carboholic. LOL to you hun.

MARSHA!!!!!!!!!
Don't leave, please!!!!????

You are part of us and it's OK that you're not on the Combo! Please don't go away, I will cry and cry!!

We all have to tweak what we're doing from time to time, but we're all still a group here. OK???

I may be dropping the CLA based on Lisa's posts about it being a bad trans fat.
And I'm definitely trying to tweak my intake as well. So, no worries, OK??
And thank you for your advice, I appreciate it.

I sure hope you feel better soon Marsha. Get some rest!!

Morning Y'all!

I am back with a better frame of mind. I totally freaked when I saw the numbers and just felt like quitting because I was doing this ALL WRONG!

But y'all are right! Something is working because I'm 41 pounds down since July. OK, slow, but at least down! So, I'm not gong to give up, but I may tweak a bit.

Yesterday, I was too hungry, so 1200 cals is too low.

What I was looking at is lowering my protein and upping my fat. Not sure I can do that, but I'll try.

Today, in my morning shake, I only used ONE scoop of protein powder (instead of 2) and I replaced it with 1 TB of virgin coconut oil. We'll see if that makes a difference.

Thanks to all of y'all for your care and kindness. I think I'll shoot for 1700 cal and see how that goes....BUT, that means I gotta start inputting my meals in Fitday and that's where I get nuts and obsess. If that happens, I may drop counting altogether, otherwise I'll implode and quit. That's what happened to me on Weight Watchers. I got burned out on counting everything and could not count ONE more thing, and I hit a wall. I don't want that to happen here.

Thanks again everyone for your help! You are wonderful!!

Hi MG. hang in there you are doing great!!!!!

ADLMA, it seamed to help me alot with out the dinner thing, I was told by a friend of mine that if you go to bed at 9 pm ( like me) then you need to eat before 6 pm, and if you cant eat by then dont eat at all. so it seams as a 3 hour digestion period. With my job and kids i am stressed alot and i need to wind down before i eat. But it dosent happen by the time i get home.

MG- I have gotten to where I pretty much know what my calories and fat are after using fitday so much. You will get a jist of it and then you will sorta know each day without input.

Mikki - I think I will cut supper too. I know my tummy will thank me. I will try it for a while, or maybe only drink a protein drink for supper.

MG - DO NOT count. You saw where you are. What you have been doing has worked so far. Tweak a little if you must, but do not go back to Fitday. I don't want you to freak and quit.

Marsha - You can't leave us. We won't let you!
