Michele,

YES! I made them on a cookie sheet. I used a Silpat and I've also used parchment paper.

There is no reason that you cannot use the release foil. Yes, go for it!!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY (in advance!).

I did not think about Silpat, so I used muffin tins. Wish I thought of Silpat!

Hey ADLMA, I eat whatever we have for a snack. I just eat smaller portions. I eat when I'm hungry and don't eat when I'm not. I eat perhaps 6 times per day.

My exercise plan is to get up and move! I have a Gazelle and I'm shooting for 3 times per week. My friend is coming over 3 times per week and working out with me on the Gazelle. I'll do floor exercises while she's on the Gazelle and when she's not here, I'll use the Gazelle.

Due to my physical limitations, exercise is not my priority, but I'm working on it. I have to be sensible and back off when it hurts (like today).

What about you ADLMA?

They almost doubled in size in the muffin tins. Maybe the tins were an OK idea.

I use a Pilates Reformer. Since it was designed to "reform" injured dancers by Pilates, I thought I most likely would not hurt myself. I enjoy it and the time passes quickly. It has a rebounder, so I jump for 15 minutes, and I do the Pilates work out, lasting about 25 minutes. I do my best to be on that machine at least 5 times a week. Keep in mind, almost the entire workout is done laying down on one's back. No bad stuff happening to one's knees.

Marsha, is your face red, as in flushed in appearance? I've read that the combo raises body temperature, could that be what is going on? While it is red, you can check your temp. and find out.

Thank you for the info! When we get some extra $$$ (someday), I'll look into that. Where did you get it?

ETA: Nevermind! LOL! I just saw one in action and saw the price. I think it's great, it's just too big for our room and there's no way I could do this machine.

I got mine from that market place on TV that starts with a Q. I am not sure if we are supposed to say names. It had 3 "easy" payments. I watched that thing for months. I researched everywhere. I had my sister, a gym member, check into the one at the gym and speak with the trainer. I could not find a reason not to use it. I used is 3 times and saw a marked change in my flexablity. Considering your need to be kind to your body, I think you would be OK on it. Hey, if you are ever in the area, you can test drive mine! I promise!

You are very flushed! I would check my temp. If you have a pressure cuff, I'd check the BP too. I know you said it is low, but. . .

I still wonder if it is your body temp. rising, due to the combo making your metab. pick up. Mine rose. I am usually around 97. It brought me up a degree.

Hi....I've been out of the house all day and just now catching up on the posts.

Kathy, Michele and ADLMA....let me know how the "self hypnosis" works for you. What ever it is you want to accomplish the next day, just say it over in your head a few times before falling asleep.

Michele...I am proud of you too girl! It really does feel good once you get it in motion huh? You'll be feeling stronger and stronger everyday. Keep it up!

Trisha....thanks, I hope I can get there before the reunion. HA!

MG....My goodness, your recipe pics looks SO GOOD! Ever thought about opening up an LC restaurant???

A big to everyone else!!!

marsha,
Your face is so sweet and lovely! I'm glad to see you!! I love your sweet smile.

Ummm, it doesn't look like the Rosacea I experience I get BEET red and burning), but everyone is different. You do look flushed. I hesitate to ask this, but are you peri-menopausal or having hot flashes?

Since your BP and temp are normal, you may want to check w/ your dr about the flushing. It could be Rosacea or hormonal changes.

Last night we got a call at midnight from DD#1 at college in TN, who said that a friend called her and told her to stay in her apt. because there were 2 men that had guns spotted across from her apt. near or in the parking garage. She was asking if you can shoot through doors, etc. OMG, I was so worried. I told her DO NOT go outside. She said there were police and campus security all around the area. I had trouble getting back to sleep.

Then today I get this email from the Dean:

Dear Parents,

This morning several of you have contacted us with questions regarding unusual activities at XXXXX Hall last night (Monday, January 21st). Brief reports in the local news media have prompted both curiosity and concern. Though we do not typically use this forum for daily communication, in this case I wanted to clarify information and allay any concerns you might have.

Last night we responded to a call from a student involving a potential sighting of armed men in the parking garage behind XXXXX Hall. Campus Security, Student Affairs and Metro Police responded immediately by searching the area and XXXXX Hall. No evidence was found of suspicious persons or any unauthorized intrusion into the residence hall.

After a second 911 call, (referencing the initial report) we secured the area and initiated a room-by-room search of the facility. Again, no evidence was found to substantiate intruders of any kind. As a result, a security alert to the entire campus was not initiated.

I want to reassure you that we care deeply for the safety of your sons and daughters and will respond assertively to potential threats. To this end, we are committed to cultivating effective campus personnel and procedures and continue to review and refine them based on experience.

We realize that the response itself can create concern in the greater campus community and are seeking to address that concern through a variety of communications this morning.

Sincerely,

XXXXX,
Dean of Students

Yeah, my face gets really red/flushed if a drink wine or any alcoholic beverage and so does my moms.

Thanks for the encouragement...I was so excited to tell you about the treadmill -- just like a child!

Marsha - I like your new avatar. I love seeing the real person. You are so pretty. As for the redness, looks like you are flushed. Are you over being sick yet? You said you didn't have a fever, so I am guessing it is the combo. Who knows.

Tom and Trish - May I come over and use your ab lounger, please? I think I would like that thing, but I just can't afford one right now.

MG - Good, I will give the flax buns a try, hopefully tomorrow. My girlfriend called me today and is coming to my house for lunch on Thursday. She said she is bringing her own food because she is doing Nutri System. If I get these buns made, I will have either a roast beef sandwich or a tuna salad sandwich.

Phil - I used to be able to do a pull-up when I was in my 20's, but I don't think I could pull all this body with all the weight up right now. I hope you get to do that again this softball season.

Okay folks, I am off to get some shut eye...let's pray that nothing startling happens tonight.

Good evening!

What do you all do for a cold? I think I am coming down with one. I have tried that Airborne stuff a few times. Maybe it worked, maybe it didn't. Who knows.

So what do you take?

Hey Chic. We need to start calling you our exercise guru! I wish I had your motivation. I did do 100 sit-ups this morning. At least its a start.

MountainGirl...Those sammich buns look pretty good!

michelemomof2...That's a great feeling when you get off that threadmill. I remember when I was lifting everyother night. I would put on some drakkar after my shower in the morning. After working out after work I would be dripping with sweat and smelling pretty good. Well, I thought I smelled pretty good anyway. All I could smell was that drakkar.

ADLMA...WOW! 4.5 pounds of hair. That's a lot of hair. That reminds me, I need my hair cut. Half an inch is too long for me. I bet your hair looks great though!

I have been in the process of getting all my hunting stuff cleaned up, washed up and de-sented. It's all going into vacuum bags and put in totes for next October. Everything but my turkey hunting stuff. I'll chase them in April. My goal is to get that stuff put away, get the basement orginized and set-up to start lifting again. I want to start Body For Life on Monday. I remember the last time I was lifting...I was at a softball game and grabed hold a 2 x 4 in the dug out and did my first ever pull-up. I was floored!

Alright, gotta go for now. BBL.
Hi Phil, who knew being a loser is a good thing (at least on this site) 100 sit ups !!!! Wowwwwww!!! how cool.

Hey Phil, you're not going to believe this, but on a diabetes website that my boyfriend visits alot was told this idea. Someone said he put Vicks Vaporub on
