Not sure yet.

I REALLY want to make Cleo's OOOPSIE rolls, but I'm over-folding the egg whites. I'm gonna try again though cuz they are more calorie-friendly than my flax wrap which is high in cals, fat and carbs and rolls are not.

Anyone making these rolls? I know you are Lisa, thanks for the help with folding info. BTW, didn't Cleo have a picture tutorial or something?
It's on one of the two threads in the Main Forum. I didn't pay too much attention-these still taste like Atkins Rev Rolls to me-I can take them or leave them. I make KevinPa's homemade lc bread recipes myself. I think the tutorial might be on her blog.

Michele,

I made the Flax wrap. But, it's pretty spendy calorie, fat and carb-wise.
I'll post the recipe if anyone wants it, but I'd love to see yours too.

I just made my 2nd and 3rd batch of the ooooopsie rolls and now I give up. I don't see how they hold together to act as hamburger buns. Mine don't. They are fragile eggy clouds. Blech.

OK I have officially missed out on a few pages I hate trying to get things done here and losing my place on here

I see we have had some major losers in here I say that in all loving kindness. I glad we have such great losers. I have officially ran out of the combo and even though we just got paid, groceries for the month was almsot $400, so I can't afford to do the combo until next time we get paid I hope the 2 weeks or so off won't hurt my progress.

I am down to 170.5lb this morning and it's almost time to say goodbye to the 170's!!!

I'm sorry I can't respond to everyone individually . DS is on my lap saying "PBS, PBS pleeease" So alas I have to lead by example and share
Hope to catch up soon!!

OK, I know y'all were waiting with baited breath to find out what I was cooking/eating tonight for supper since I didn't know when I posted my menu earlier.

Well, the wait is over!

I am roasting wild Alaskan salmon
and whole green beans with garbanzo beans.

YUM!

The flax tortilla/wrap recipe from my friend, Juniper, is below:

Don't know if this is something that is already discovered, but I have had cravings for a soyless flat bread, low carb, so I decided to experiment and I think I have found the solution! It is a moist flat bread that you can use like a pita or a wrap. Great texture! Here's how to do it, very quick and
very easy!

In a small bowl mix dry ingredients:

2 1/2 tbs flax meal
1/4 tsp baking powder
onion powder to taste
garlic powder to taste
dash of salt

Then:
Add one egg (I used one jumbo)
1 tbs melted butter
1 tbs water

Mix

Pour into 8" glass pie plate that has been sprayed with pam and spread till it covers entire bottom.
Cook uncovered for 3 mins in the microwave on high.

I comes out about 1/4" thick and pliable. Let cool. I spread tuna salad and lettuce on half of it and flipped it over like a pita, and it was wonderful!

Try it! It's quick and easy.

Juniper

***************

MountainGirl - I don't have counts for the above recipe, but it is slightly different than the one you have. Yours really isn't too bad as far as carbs go because there are 6 g. of dietary fiber, so that helps bring the carbs down (I think).

The chicken & brocolli with chili garlic sauce was soooo good. As I expected, my DH wouldn't eat it. lol

NO WAY! Fat boys and speedos don't go well together! I still have plenty of belly fat at 240. Match that with a speedo and my belly will look just as bad as it does now. Jeez...That would be like stuffing golf ball in a garden hose. It just don't fit! Now if YOU were wearing the speedo...Thata been alright!

I'd come out of it alright. The seams would be busted.

Dang you Chick!

I am laughing just thinking about all this. I would have to hit an all time low of 200 pounds before I would ever consider putting on one of those silly things.

Changing the subject now. Weighed in at 297 this morning. That made me very happy. I had to remind myself to eat again today and I kept hydrated. I don't know what is for supper yet. Green peas sound good. I'm going to go raid the freezer and see what I can find.

It's great to see everyone posting again!

Take care!
Phil

Congrats on the loss, Phil! That's okay about no pics in a speedo. I'd much rather see a man in a pair of blue jeans, anyday.

Freeingmyself - I just noticed that I will be out of borage oil tomorrow. I am going to have to order some more, too, but not sure how much longer I will keep taking the CLA/GLA, as I'm not having as great a result as a lot of the others.

I love that fan! I love little lights with small shades so that is probably why I like it so much. I haven't seen one like that. I want to get one for our family room and bedroom.

The house really, really looks nice! Um, I have that same "pink" carpet.
You and Tom did a really nice job!

Congrats on being down!!!

Michele, we got that fan at Lowes for $199. we saw some on ebay that werent nearly as nice for $500. @ the pink carpet. I'm sure it was pretty 20 years ago when it was new, but now its pretty wore out. I want a neutral berber, like tan or beige, or maybe hardwood

Michele....I'm so proud of you gal pal! Doesn't that next day burn make you feel like you've done something good for yourself? I mean as long as it's not excruciating or anything.

Speaking of all being well in the family, it did kind of remind me of a sisterly issue with you Mountain Girl. I think back of when my older sister and I would get into these disagreements over things. At the time I would get furious with her but now that I'm older and I look back, I realize everything she was trying to convey to me was for my well being. One thing I want you to know is that no one was ever condeming you or trying to put you down. I'd like to believe that a person like that would not exist on our thread. Anyway, I think all of us here have more of an understanding of where you are coming from and what you have been through. May God bless you and your family always.

~One thing I've learned better is that we all have a need to be treated specifally and individually. The sensitivity of others may require some of us to be handled with delicate hands while others may be able to handle more. Due to 5 older brothers, I grew up with very athletic males in the house and now it continues being that I have 2 rough and tough sons and a husband who is former military. I got and still get roughed up A LOT!
