Alright I'm going to go ahead and order the combo. Thanks kycowgirl for your advice. That was the only pic of me on the pc, so i decided to use that one. And with the quote, thats just how i feel right now, its basically like what u put out, is what you're gonna get in return. U put out nothing, u get nothing!! Ands that more pertaining to weight loss, for me right now, anyway.

Of Coarse this is my favorite!! How could it NOT be? It certainly is active and that's what i like!

So the combo should work as long as eating "clean"? Whether it is Atkins 02, 72, Stillmans, or whatever no cheat-eating plan we are on right? I go back and forth (Atkins/Stillmans) but not one little cheat since I started Sept. 4th! I know, not long but it will be a month on Tues!! I'm going to try not to weigh myself until then! -lots of luck there, I find myself on that damn scale every morning!

I wonder because of the oil in the pills will help with constipation?

Hi all. I am a newcomer at this. I just read the entire thread and have to congratulate all of you on your great results. I hope the combo works as well for me. I am going to try to get the Borage oil tomorrow at Walmart and will report my progress. I have to get this weight off. I had been at goal for 5 years until I quit smoking and gained the 30 lbs back. Nothing including clean induction would take this extra weight off. I would lose 2-3 lbs and then it would creep right back on again. Anyway, I hope I will get good results with this combo like you all have experienced.

If you read the beginning of the thread many report that weight stalls but inches come off. So don't get upset if the scale isn't going down but take measurements everywhere and track or pick some clothes that don't fit anymore and see how they fit every week.

Hi Trisha. I think I have a favorite show everyday. Yes, I like Dancing with the Stars, CSI Las Vegas, Greys Anatomy and Numbers. I saw the new show Cane and it looks pretty good.

Well, I'm starting to see a difference with the CLA and the GlA. I didn't lose weight this week but I did lose 3/4 inches, which is good. Each week I have been losing inches. My clothes are fitting better. I'm trying on clothes that I havent worn in awhile. I just have to up my exercises. That is where I am lacking.

Everyone who is on this combo, you will see results.!!! Hang in there.

Deanna

caramelde17, I like your way of thinking

Twitime, I agree, this thread is really picking up. It gets quiet at times but always come back . I weigh every day too lol. I have to know where I am and adjust my eating if neccessary. Yes, any plan will work as long as your eating clean

pommie2, love your av, so cute. Your pretty close to goal right now...congrats !! Remember this combo does cause a scale stall so dont get discouraged.

lisabinil, good advice

Deanna, looks like your doing good. If we want to get this weight off and "keep it off", slow and steady is the best way to do it

I'm a little paranoid about the scale stalling! If I am very good with the food and take the combo, there will be a "Whoosh" at some time won't there?
Well I won't worry about it until my order gets in.

I was reading way back in the first thread and they did mention side affects. Zits, and breakout on the stomach? Is that right, or did I get it wrong?

Also many take Primrose oil rather than Borage oil, are they the same, or have the same properties?

Yes you will have occasional whooshes. Some will be quite impressive . Just be patient and they will come . A few have also experienced breakouts until their bodies adjusted to the extra oils. I have never had that happen myself. The primrose doesnt have as much gla in them so you have to take more. That could add up quick cost wise. They also gave alot of us bad headaches. The Borage Oil caps have the highest content of the gla so less to take and more cost efficient. No side effects on these reported so far. The best ones to buy are Now brand from netrition. They have the highest gla content I have found

September CLA/GLA COMBO

Hi all,

I started with the induction and went down to 181 than started the combo and went up to 184, than down to 183. Today got on the scale and went to 179.0 finally broke my stall. So the combo seems to be working for me. My Xmas goal is to weigh 153 lbs. so hope to make it. Than when I reach that will see if I need to lose more.
So keep taking your combo, even when you stall, don't give up.
Have a good day.:hug s:

Thanks crew! A gain would be discouraging but if it finally comes off, that's fine! Maybe when I start taking the combo (tomorrow I hope) I should NOT weigh myself!

Ok got my Borage Oil from Walmart today. It is 500 mg. It doesn't say how much GLA is in there so I am going to take the recommeded dosage according to the bottle with is 2 a day. Hopefully that is correct.

Hey do anybody know whateva happened to michelle, and caly? I read a bunch of the threads from last year and noticed they lost a lot of weight on the combo. But I haven't seen them on since then. I was just curious as to how they were doing now with the weight loss and combo.

Caly still comes back and posts from time to time, but Michelle got very busy with their construction business and had to stop coming. I hope she comes back, shes an awesome lady. If you click on Calys name above her av you can go view all her posts. She did a progress pic post that was very inspirational. I'll see if I can find it

ADLMA posted a question on another thread I feel needs to be re-mentioned here about taking Omegas with the CLA...

It didn't say anything about doing this with Borage Oil, but I'm spacing them out just in case!
Omega-3 Fatty Acids:
Though scores of people still refuse to believe it, your body MUST have an arsenal of good fat present in order to burn the fats that are prone to cellular storage. Omega-3s are vital to hundreds of processes within the body - many of which are closely associated with metabolic enzymes and hormones that help the body use fat for energy.

If you're taking CLA, don't eat your Omega-3s at the same time. They will compete against each other for absorption. Leave at least a 3 hour window when taking both.

CLA:
Fat burners may come and go, but Conjugated Linoleic Acid is still the undisputed king of fat burning. Aside from scouring the body for expendable fat stores and inhibiting the actions of lipoprotein lactase, CLA also helps spare lean muscle tissue from being catabolized, boosts immune system response, decreases insulin resistance and is non-stimulating.

It is one of the industry's most researched compounds, and has been shown to work remarkably in a number of human trials.

I'm only 1 week into my induction, do you guys think it would be better if I waited until I was closer to goal to start this combo since it stalls weight loss?

Awww shucks Twitime , thank you. I just know how well this combo works and I try to keep everyone informed of the good and the bad with this.

chynadl153, Personally, I would go ahead and start. Even though it does cause "temporary" scale stalls, the inches lost is well worth the wait. And the scale will catch up with occasional "whooshes". If your not comfortable with waiting for the scale to move, then it would be ok to wait till the scale is where you want it first

OK, I have the new October thread up.Everyone continue posting there please
