Wow, you really must have a problem! I still haven't seen anything like you have described. I don't think I would be interested in a parasite sandwich.

I have had a flare up of my rash that I am pretty sure is from yeast. I think that is supposed to be normal, though, as the stuff dies off and toxins are released. Skin is an eliminatory organ, so the toxins are *probably* just making their way out.

I'm still lurking around here and have a question. Have y'all changed anything else about your diets (other than just doing low-carb)? Like are y'all eliminating things with yeast in it?

Well, low carb naturally reduces products like bread that contain yeast. And fruit is limited on low carb.

Aged cheeses and wine-or other fermented foods are often restricted when doing a yeast cleanse. I don't drink alcohol, but will still add a tablespoon or two when cooking. And I do eat some (but not more than a couple ounces a day) of cheese like cheddar or other aged cheese. I am contemplating adding back yogurt or kefir because of the beneficial bacteria it has (and after reading the thread on the yogurt exemption with low carb)

I actually found one very informative site that encouraged a LC diet (it recommended Atkins by name) to help clear up a yeast infection.

I think the idea is to "starve" and weaken the yeast organism so the herbal/fiber treatment has a better chance to completely kill it off.

I can't remember where, but I heard that aspartame has been linked to vaginal yeast infections, but I don't know if that is true. I don't use it anyway because it gives me headaches

Oh, and I also have started dry skin brushing to help eliminate toxins through my skin.

i have not changed anything about my diet, in fact i fell off the wagon and since i am in school out of town i am doing nothing but eating junk. i do take gr8-dophilus and am going to take plant enzymes soon as i have heartburn, which customer service thought was due to the parasites in my tummy. ewww.. i dont know what yeast looks like in the stool, but have passed weird spongy looking stuff and stuff that looks like eggs in egg flower soup.

I think yeasty stool is often tan or greyish. The spongy stuff might be it. I keep getting the greyish color whenever I pass the older stuff.

I had never done skin brushing before, but asked around the board, and have read a bit about it. It stimulates circulation, and encourages movement and elimination of lymphatic liquid beneath the skin's surface and is supposed to be especially effective if you do it just before using a sauna or other method that causes you to sweat. It helps encourage skin cell turnover, so that old, flaky skin is removed and replaced more quickly (this is actually the only part I can absolutely say I have experienced so far). And there are some who say it can help tighten and tone loose or wrinkled skin. I figured it is worth a try.

I drink my fiber with water or aloe juice. It is rather yucky, but I don't want to waste my carbs on fruit juice.

Today I have kind of a sinus/headache thing going. I can't imagine having a cold this time of year, but maybe. Or maybe it is one of those cleansing crisis things that all the colon cleansing books talk about.

And that rash that is normally inside the bend of my elbow was bad yesterday, but lighter today. The rash is weird. Until a couple of months ago (when I first started that other herbal treatment for yeast) , it covered the entire inside bend. But lately it looks like someone took a pencil and erased half of it. I wonder if that means things are clearing up some? If it is, I can't entirely credit the Colonix, because it started to do that before I went on the program. But if it completely heals, I will definitely believe it played a big part of finally killing off whatever caused it.

Well, the sinus/headache thing is definitely a cold-DH has it and at least one of the kids, and they are not doing the cleanse right now.

But the rash still looks like it might be clearing up. That would be great, after having it come and go for the last 20 years!

Another question here.....what about your energy levels? Are they up? My energy level is zapped, and I've gotta do something. When I started low-carbing, it shot up, but now it's down again. I keep thinking that doing a cleanse will help. What do you guys think? Oh, and I'm pretty sure I have endometriosis, which may be what is draining all my energy. But, I'm still thinking a cleanse wouldn't hurt.

the headache thingy could be die off. every now and then i get one and then it goes away a few hours later. ive had three, including today, but yesterday my body was acting wierd like it was trying to get rid of toxins, behind my knee i broke out in a rash, and my privates kinda stunk. but today the rash does not itch and i do not stink but i had a headache for a couple hours so im thinking its toxins or die off.

normally my headaches turn into migraines, but each time i thought i was going to get one i didnt and it went away. which never happens. so im glad.

yes i have more energy. i have to get up at 4:30 every day for school, which i wasnt able to do before.

i pood out another worm tonight. glad theyre coming out.

Yeah, I've had my thyroid tested, and they *say* everything is normal. Gotta be a reason why I feel so bad, though. Maybe detoxing will help. I'm gonna do it, even thought I'm a little nervous about it. It'd be worth it just to feel better. Might try ordering this today.

Happycat-a cleanse would probably help, but you may actually feel worse while doing it. My first few days I had the runs pretty bad as my body adjusted to the herbs. And I was kind of nauseated. Everyone is different.

And every thing I have read about cleansing seems to indicate that you will go through cycles of feeling good, and then feeling really crummy as the toxins are mobilized and released.

Have you been LC long? Some people need to up carbs slightly after being depleted for a while. Also, if you are not taking a quality multivitamin, you should look into that.

I agree there is some good info about thyroid around here. Maybe you could flag down Pam as well. She seems to be very knowledgeable and has helped others on this board.

All said, it probably would not hurt to do a cleanse. Even if you don't have worms, it will clean out your intestines.

I drink it before bed, but after about 7 pm, I am droopy, anyway. So I can't say if it helps me to sleep. But boy do I need to get to the bathroom in the morning. Sleeping in is not an option.

Say, does drinking the tea kind of make you feel sweaty? I know some herbs are supposed to do that, but I am not really sure which ones. I think the tea makes me start sweating about 30 min after I drink it--even in a cool room.

Um, what have you been using?

I read a book once where the author (who is really big on clean colons) keeps a pair of chopsticks behind her toilet for this purpose! I still don't think I could do that.

I am seeing a lot more mucus and some more older stuff, but that is about it.
