Sugar Free Chewing Gum

Hi all, Does anyone know if it is acceptable to chew sugar-free gum while in the 'strict' phase of restricting carbs?

I did and still do.

Most gums have the carb count on the package, so if you do chew it, count the carbs.

The deal breaker for me is that if they contain malitol or similar sweetners, I can't chew too much or else I suffer, so it's pretty easy to limit yourself if you get consequences from it.

Thanks for the reply! I will count the carbs but will rather try to stay away just in case ..
