Julian Bakery?
I apologize if someone's already asked this in a different post! Has anyone tried any of the low carb breads or cookies from Julian Bakery in LaJolla CA? They have a website and looks like good stuff to order online, but I wanted to know if any of you have tried any of their products?

I have not tried the ones from Julian Bakery so I'm not very helpful there.

One of my LC staples is 34 Degrees Crispbread Whole Grain flavor crackers. 9 crackers have 35 calories, 7g carbs, 1g fiber, 1g protein. I buy them at Walmart. They are great with LC dips or even tuna. There is not a lot of flavor to them but they have a nice texture and a little bit of crunch. I used to have some about every other day, but I'm limiting my intake a bit more than that until I can drop some more weight. It looks like you don't have very far to go until you're at your goal, though...

I tried Julian Bakery over a year ago. Their bread tastes good but for most people it still raises blood sugar. It is also overpriced. I dont believe the carb counts are accurate.

Ok, so I found some Julian Bakery bread at the local health food store. I can't say I was impressed - it was like I was biting down on a trampoline. It had a nice flavor, though.

The trick to this bread is to not eat it cold. I suggest a tuna melt or grilled cheese sandwich on one. Yep, three point grilled cheese sandwich...with two pieces of bread! The cinnamon raisin bread makes a mean french toast, add a little Walden syrup and breakfast is served!

FWIW, I just had a piece of Julian Bakery "Amazing Sourdough," which according to the label has 4 grams of carbs, after subtracting fiber. Very simply, they're lying. My blood sugar spiked up 60 points. Jimmy Moore has a blog post on this; not only did he do repeated tests on his own blood sugar, but one woman, after testing her blood sugar, got so angry that she paid to have the bread tested at a lab. The "1-carb" bread in fact had about 17 grams of carbs. It's too bad. The sourdough bread is delicious. And apparently a total fraud.

A little late to the party, but here was my experience. Now this was several years ago.
They were touting the low carb and zero carb bread back then. There was no 'Paleo' like they are touting now. I ordered a lot at one sitting. Low carb, zero carb and raison.
The pictures on the website were awesome. The products, terrible. One loaf had not been mixed correctly -the slice looked like worms running through one side of it, although I'm sure it was something not mixed correctly, at least I hope that was the case. One loaf was green, like it had been sitting out for days.
I emailed them. NO RESPONSE. I emailed them likely 3 times. All the bread tasted terrible. A lot of money wasted.
