Slushie I made today with my Ninja 1200
1/2 cup blueberries
16oz s/f lemonade 1 pkt kiwi strawberry drink mix (s/f) 1 cup of ice I put all this in the blender and crushed and then blended it. It was berry good. It came out just like a slushie, a little tart but I like 'em that way. You could use any flavor drink mix. I had some Carb Smart that I needed to use up. I usually make these with strawberries, but today the frozen blueberries were just staring at me. Last edited by Nigel; 08-10-2012 at 01:46 PM.. |

Yesterday I made v-8. It didn't come out quite as smooth as the vitamix makes it, but it was much quieter.
Today I made tomato juice...nothing like fresh tomato juice. I haven't been all that energetic in the kitchen cuz its just too hot here right now. |

Nigel - My husband and I have been on a slushy, iced coffee kick. I add some unsweetened cocoa to my version because I love mocha flavor, but I definitely do not love a strong coffee flavor.
I got the iced coffee recipe from The Pioneer Woman website. She basically walks you through creating a quantity of concentrated, strong coffee. This is then blended (a serving at a time) with 1/2 and 1/2 and some sweetener. |
