Yes, I used Peggy's (Buttoni) recipe. It's posted on the recipe and suggestions forum. They turn out quite good.

I didn't have the now brand psyllium and I used walmart brand, so having the right brand might make a difference...but the texture and flavor is good.
They are easy to make too.

Here is the link to her recipe: Einkorn Sandwich/Hamburger Buns

breakfast: scrambled eggs with chives--new for me, and good; mocha latte with whole milk, piece of string cheese, few macadamias
snack: string cheese
lunch: very small serving of cheese ravioli with pink sauce, water
dinner: salad with homemade blue cheese dressing, quinoa-stuffed red pepper, diet root beer, a few boiled peanuts
midnight snack: mocha latte (decaf) with coconut milk

I'm having cinnamon tea now, the last thing before bed

I did well yesterday. Vegetable soup, a package of seaweed snacks and a bit of tuna salad on lettuce.

For dinner last night, I had a MSF faux turkey burger patty on a small lc pita with some mustard and pepper jack cheese.

I had a salad of cucumber, cilantro, 1/2 avocado and a small tomato.

And 5 French fries....like that? hahha!! The bag said they had approx. 1 carb each so I had 5...usually, I pass on the potato products, but I just gave in to my craving last night.

Earlier for lunch, I caved and had a tostada from taco bell, which I thought wouldn't be that high in carbs...wrong!! 22 net carbs for that little thing.

I did the Linda Sue taco skillet using the tiny cut southern style coleslaw. it worked much better than regular size slaw not vegetarian but grass fed beef and I put a red pepper in it. And lots of taco seasoning. The cumin I bought online is fabulous, much better than the cumin in the grocery store.

Nigel, I bought Jiva organic cumin and turmeric, very happy with both. I also bought a lb of Kirkland garlic powder, very nice. I cant wait to run out of cayenne and chili powder so I get the bulk kind.

We had shirataki noodles mixed with Publix burgers, spinach, Daiya shreds and a little Walden Farms mayo. We split a sesame bagel too.

Quorn Chicken Sandwich on Nature's Own flat bun

Cucumber and Tomato Salad

You know the quorn chicken patties are small, but surprisingly, quite filling.

I don't know what I'm going to eat when I run out of them. They don't sell them in my area anymore.

I agree about them being small and Nigel. I also wish there were more in the box. I like them though.

They stopped selling all the Quorn products around here...some people had problems with the products. They have never bothered me.

I went to San Antonio and both Whole Foods and Sprouts didn't have them and didn't have a spot on their shelves for them anymore...so I went to Walmart where I live and bought them out...only got about $70 worth of products but I had a feeling.

When I got home and did some research, sure enough those stores had pulled the items from their shelves.

I did find some on amazon to order, but that will be for when I run out.

I really like the Guyure Cheese filled Faux Chiken Breasts, but I didn't find any of them...except on amazon.

Do they still sell them where you live? I live in south Texas.

I've never heard of them. I haven't seen them here at Walmart, Kroger or Publix. I don't shop at Whole Foods though. Too far. I may have to make a trip if they are good. Thanks for the heads up. I looked at why they are pulling them. I would think most foods can cause allergic reactions. I never knew I was allergic to shiitaki mushrooms until I tried them. That doesn't make it wrong for others though.

Yeah, people are allergic to all kinds of things these days.

I am allergic to garlic..I love it, but it doesn't love me.

Most prepared foods, esp. frozen seem to contain some form of garlic. I really have to read labels.

Once in a while, I find something with a small enough amount of garlic that it doesn't give me great stomach distress, but most of the time, not.

mmm...blackeyed peas and okra sound good.

Last night I had a super big salad with romaine, 2 kinds of cheese, tomatoes, 1/2 cucumber and some black olives with homemade French dressing.

Some nights I just don't feel like cooking.

I made soup with mostly frozen vegetables but added turnips and an orange pepper. A quarter cup of quinoa thickened it a bit. We will be eating this for the next 3 days.

It's getting to be soup time around here too.

Soup is always comfort food to me.

I never thought of using quinoa for a thickener. Thanks for the great idea.

For dinner we had soup and tempeh bacon. Soup is becoming a fav around her again too.

I like those Quorn chicken breasts. I am thinking of making chicken salad with it one day. I thinking about some kind of hummus tomorrow. I have to look up a recipe though. I usually get Sabra.
