just enjoying a mug of hot chocolate mmmm
Due to my insomnia, I decided to try something to help out tonight. I've been really struggling with sleep and stress. Nothing terrible going on, I am alone mon to friday with my kids (hubbie works away), there's work, studying and of course the fibro to manage. But the sleep deprivation is really slowing me down ... so tonight I have decided to have a break from the cycle ...
A night away from studying, a mug of hot chocolate and my book to read ... well the low carb diet book says I can have it!! cocoa powder, soya milk, sweetener and a bit of cream! Its reallllllllyyyyy lovely and I feel like I am having a real treat! Hope every one on the board is well! Well hopefully I'm off to catch some ZZZZzzzzzzz's. Goodnight all xx |

Hi both,
just checking in again, the hot chocolate made me feel really sick and could only drink half a cup! busy night again, drama club, quick scrambled egg then out for school concert (bell boating last night), so just sat down at 10.50 pm. absolutely starving so off to get some more food now. sleep was still elusive last night so still trying, I have tried fruit tea Rua but camomile i dont think i could drink ! i think the low carb sets me back at times, whenever I had episodes like this before with sleep I would have a huge sugar overload and immediately fall asleep on the sofa. I dont have this option now so feel at a loss. Im soooo tired though! So i was thinking maybe a stewed apple and some natural yoghurt and some cinamon .... its sweet without breaking the carb bank! ps Rua, I have 2 girls, 10 and 13. The 13 yr old is just starting to become proper teenagery and im finding myself in unknown territory at the moment, sweetness one minute and some alien with a problem the next. The ten yr old is still sweet but she is what we might know as terribly shy (although termed as selective mute.) she doesnt talk a lot! it causes problems because she hardly speaks at school and hence only has a few friends/family who have heard her talk. she makes up for it at home Anyway the last few weeks have been the usual guides and horse riding, but now theres concerts, parents evenings, camping trips, parties and the dreaded prom (oldest leaves for high school next wk) . hopefully things will get quieter when school breaks up ![]() How about you? |

That sounds like an amazing drink. Once I'm done with induction ( or further into it) I'm going to have to give that a try. I found red velvet cake tea (brand is Republic of Tea) at my local grocery store last week, and they are amazingly good with a packet of AS before bedtime. Cures my sweets cravings.

Only, after looking at the picture that looks like actual Cake mix, not the tea. Stuff I have is in individual tea bags and comes in a round tin.
