Help! Need Dr. that writes Armour in Pittsburgh or tri-state area.

I've read tons of posts but haven't been able to find a good doctor that will look at tests other than TSH and prescribe Armour. I'm 47, have a 4 year old son and can barely take care of him due to my fatigue and low depression. Around 1pm every day, I get to the point of being so shaky I feel like a drank a pot of coffee, when I didn't have anything with caffeine in it.

I've just been to dr. Jann Johnston in Pittsburgh, but she would only test TSH for thyroid. My TSH was normal and she said I was "fine". My tests came back very high over the range blood cortisol and extremely high B12 (which I don't take, except for what is in my multi-v).

I heard Dr. Goldstein in Wexford was good, but he's not taking new patients, and they don't have a waiting list.

Any suggestions of who I should see in the Pittsburgh or Tri Start area? I don't mind driving a couple hours...I just need help.

Sorry to hear you are having difficulties. I don't have any doctor info for you, but I have high B12 myself and likely hypothyroid (getting a second opinion in September as my first doc doesn't know much about thyroid). I was curious and googled high B12 and came up with some interesting info. Apparently high B12 could be a sign of functional B12 deficiency, according to some posts I found here: High b12 levels and my story - Not sure where to post this, sorry! | Phoenix Rising ME / CFS Forums Sounds like some your symptoms such as fatigue could be related to this as well. I am going to look into it more myself.

There is a Holtorf Medical Group office in Philadelphia. I go to their Northern California location and they will get to the bottom of your issues. I take compounded T3 but my doctor said he would prescribe Armour if I wanted it.
