Holtorf Group...anyone a patient there?

Hi Everyone,

I recently started seeing Dr. Wightman at the Holtorf Group in Torrance. So far, I've had a great experience! And while I have lots to work on to get optimal (high reverse T3, mild adrenal fatigue and hormone issues) I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere!

I'm just curious if anyone has had any experience with this group and if so, how was the experience you had? They are quite expensive, but I'm willing to pay if I can finally get optimized. They are big fans of slow release T3 and I've met some resistance when I bring that up to others but overall, I feel much better on that than I did on Armour.

Anyway, thanks for listening and I'm hoping this is the final piece of my puzzle! Looking forward to any input.

I know GME is a patient of that group, and has good things to say.

Thanks to recommendations here, I just started seeing Dr. Kutas in Long Beach and Los Alamitos, and am feeling hopeful. He takes my insurance, thank the good lord; I can't afford to be a cash patient.

Yes, I am a patient in the Bay Area office and have been very happy overall. I have seen two different doctors (the first one moved out of town) and have liked both.

I also take slow-release t3. I never found anyone who would prescribe any thyroid medication before Holtorf, so I don't have a comparison. What they told me makes sense though... your cells ultimately need t3 so why not just take that? I have rt3 issues too.

Thanks ladies!! I was seeing Dr. Kutas myself and you will love him!!! He's a great doctor and very willing to listen. Just please do your research and make sure you get all the right tests. Sometimes Dr. Kutas doesn't order them all. I had high reverse T3 issues and other things going on that I figured out on my own so I decided to try Holtorf for a more specialized approach. I'm praying for the best also!
