You need to talk with your doctor about this.

Its not really a good question for a board about low carb diets.

You need to have the thyroid hormones measured. Sometimes a goiter will produce too much hormone, other times the hormones are normal, sometimes they produce too little. The treatment for this is based entirely on the hormone production and what the cause of the goiter is. Sometimes, you can just watch them and do regular ultrasounds. Other times you need to remove them surgically. Surgery is always indicated if the goiter is compressing your airway. Other times you need medications or thyroid hormone supplements. I cant really tell you much based on only an ultrasound.

Please check with your doctor on this issue. Members are not allowed to give medical advise on this board because it can be very dangerous. Nearly everyone here is not a medical professional and even if they were they could not diagnose you without seeing you in person and doing the necessary tests. Please be safe and get to the doctor right away if you are having issues that could mean having surgery. Do not let anyone give you medical advice because again, that could be very dangerous.

Take care!!!
