T-Tapp Exercise for Thyroid Condition

There was a show tonight on PBS with Mary Shomonon about how the exercise T-Tapp is so great for thyroid patients because it really helps the lymphatic
system.

I've done T-Tapp and have the old tapes..Have to start it again.

Sorry I missed the show! I've read articles about her exercise program and it sounds wonderful, but never bought any DVD's. Guess it's time to start! Thanks for sharing this info!

Hi Carolyn,
Good to see you again. I've done T-Tapp since 2006 (off and on). It REALLY does work. I've been doing the 15 min Basic Workout almost every day since December and recently added additional hoe-downs throughout the day. I just recently saw that Mary Shomon is an avid Tapper. It's good stuff.

When I did the Total Workout (54 min), like 4-5 days a week, I got super super tight super super fast.

Yep she is. I think T-Tapp has info on the T-Tapp site and I'm pretty sure Mary's About page has it.

By the way my mail order pharma got the Acella NP in stock. It was some drama with them and I had to show my true colors.. but I got my meds. I do like the stuff.

I looked at the T-Tapp site, and there's so much to choose from. Can you gals recommend which dvds are best for thyroid? I follow a regular exercise program 6 days/week, and do yoga. Thanks!

I do the 15 minute Basic Workout Plus 5-6 days a week. Plus additional hoe-downs throughout the day.

The Total Workout set is awesome, and includes the Total Workout which is 55 min. Whenever I do the Total Workout consistently, within a week I am TIGHT AND TONED! I am just too lazy to do the 55 min. So I do the 15 min daily plus extra hoe-downs throughout the day.

Teresa is a 'FB friend' and I emailed her and begged her to put the DVDs on Itunes. I would love to just pull up my Basic + workout on my phone, ipod or ipad anywhere anytime. Right now I use the DVD on my laptop. She said she is working to get them on ITunes. I neeeeeed.

Thanks so much, AllieCat! I saw some of the try-before-you-buy videos, and they look really good. I was thinking of the Basic Workout Plus, so I guess I was on the right track.

Yep. And you can use the Hoe-Downs at the end, and do those anywhere anytime. I feel and look WAAAY better when I do extra hoe-downs. They take only 3 minutes. And you can do 1 set, 2 sets, 3 sets, as many as you can do at a time. On days that I dont do any workout, I still do hoe-downs. They are amazing.

At work, I go in the bathroom where usually no one is, into the largest stall and do a few sets, multiple times per day

Good, I have that one too. I've done it a few times, but my brain is so stuck on the regular Basic Plus for some reason. I can do it and think about EVERYTHING in my life, or tune out everything. I am in the zone most of the time when I'm doing it thinking about all kinds of stuff and before I know it, its done.

Actually I do the regular basic plus, barefoot. I hate sneakers. I've always done it barefoot. The Total Workout 55 min DOES require shoes because there are some WHOAAAA balance moves that you must have sneakers for. Sneakers for it is good but I'm just too lazy to be putting them on. lol

Well, I hear that about the sneakers, lol. I do most of my workouts barefoot, but when I do cardio, I wear a pair of beach shoes. They're easy to slip on and off and have some grip.

T-Tapp just released the new DVD today. It's called Mindful Movement for Menopause Management.

I've been waiting for this DVD for 2 1/2 years. I heard Mary Shomon speak at the T-Tapp retreat in 2009 and the DVD was already in the works.
