What would you do???

I was diagnosed with hypo about 10 years ago. I have a multi-nodule goiter and had a sonogram and a scan which were both OK. I am not sure that I have ever had any blood tests except for the TSH, Free T3 and T4.

I just went in for a sonogram because I have been choking on my saliva all of a sudden. Still have the nodules, and the results said the sonogram was “inclusive” and they are going to refer me to an endo for a possible second scan. Makes me crazy because they can’t find any of the reports from when I first did the scan and the original sonogram.

Do I want to have a second radioactive scan or should I ask for further blood tests and possibly a biopsy of the nodules?

I feel stupid, I thought I knew about my disease but obviously I was living in la-la land!
