Raynaud's Syndrome, Thyroid, Magnesium Oil

I have heard that many that have thyroid problems have Raynaud's. I know I do and have been battling with it long before I ever got thyroid problems. I read online where a woman used magnesium oil on her wrists and it went away. I decided that I had nothing to lose, so I got some. It took almost two weeks to cure the Raynaud's but if I don't use it it comes back. I use it twice a day. Last week I took a ten minute walk in the snow without gloves, not that gloves ever worked, and my fingers did not turn white. I have also taken magnesium orally for over 2 years without it ever helping. Hope this helps any with this problem.

I had/have Raynauds. I was put on a calcium channel blocker and that helped somewhat.

However, in the last couple of years, I found the best solution -- hot flashes. Since having my thyroid out, then going through menopause around the same time, I haven't had one issue with Raynauds. My hands might get a bit chilled at times, but I haven't had a "white finger' in two years.

I hope you solution works for you. Freezing fingers are awful.

One doctor I know told me my hands looked like they had raynauds...My fingers get cold. I thought it was related more to possible subclinical hypothyroidism. I know very little about Raynauds but my fingers don't hurt or anything. Just cold.

I have Raynauds. It is scary and gives me anxiety thinking that there is some underlying heart condition. I'm excited to try the magnesium oil. I will try anything. It is very bothersome and I wanna improve my circulation as the bottoms of my legs hurt when I stand for a long time. I'm not over weight either. Strange stuff. Thanks for the tip though.
