Got some answers.

They've found out what is wrong with me. The doctor called today and said my Vitamin D levels are very severely low. I have to be on 50,000 units of Vit D per week for 8 weeks then have a recheck and if my levels are back to normal be on 2000 units per day and be monitored closely to be sure things stabilize.

Then you need to re do your FT4, FT3..although Vitamin D supports the thyroid, it isn't the 'cause' of hypothyroidism and it's not the 'cure' for it.

Do you mean he should retake those after the 8 weeks? He did retake them when he took this round of tests. He said not everything was back yet but the Celiac panel, vitamin D, and ferritin were back and the Vit D was very bad. I'm assuming he'll let me know about the others when they come in.

Yep, get copies of your Free T4, Free T3 and TPO. Vitamin D is generally low in individuals with hypothyroidism...and those with low vitamin D can show low T4 to T3 conversion till it's brought up. So, you'd want to wait about four MONTHS (cuz it takes that long for Vit. D to affect thyroid levels usually, not 8 weeks) and then redo FT4, FT3, and do TPO antibodies if he did NOT do those.
