New labs and appt. this Wednesday.
Please give me feedback so I am armed for my doctors appt on Wednesay the 28th.
Here are my most recent labs. I was told I had reverse T3 issue so I was on 50mg cytomel total. T4, Free 0.3 0.8-1.8 T3, Free 529 230-420 T3, Reverse 3 11-32 TSH, 3rd gen .02 0.40 - 4.50 Ferritin, 63 10-154 this one upsets me as i had it at 96 from 8! It dropped again. ![]() These I don't get? Do I have Hashis? Thyroglobulin ab <20 range <20 Thyroid peroxidase ab 784 range <35 I guess I am hyper? I should get some T4 (I'm gonna ask if he will get it compounded - is that a good choice? I too cannot get any naturethroid, westhroid, etc), I should cut back on T3? I thought T3 reverse/free t3 should be above 10 - if I calculate right, mine is 5.67. But I cant take more T3 - mine is too high now. My TSH is low - is that good or bad? I know I haven't been feeling right since the armour change.

Yes you have hashis
the RT3 looks like it cleared and your T4 is LOW.. Thing is, unless they resolved the reason for the hi rt3.. which could have been too much t4/no t3, it will go back up again when you intro t4. have they been checking sex hormones and adrenals too? |

Thank you inatic for your reply, thank you pam too - I PM'd her because I wasn't getting responses - I know everyone is busy though.
I went today, and he said exactly that - if we start a compounded porcine with T4/T3, it will bring back reverse T3 issue. So he backed me down to 25mg cytomel split. I am on HC as well, he is going to retest adrenals. I take 6.5 pills of HC 5mg throughout the day. He as well obviously confirmed Hashis. He is hoping that I have some part of thyroid left that will make up the T4 once I go down on T3 and hyper symptoms go away. If not, he will put me back on T4 - probably synthroid. I will also be getting an ultrasound on thyroid soon. He feels my body was in overdrive from too much T3 which in turn put too much stress on adrenals. I am on progesterone/testosterone cream. I am also going back for iron infusions as I felt great when my ferritin was above 100. |
