Protein Powder for hypos..
I was going to make a shake for breakie this morning..I had taken my Westhroid 30 minutes before and the shake mix contains calcium..(a big no no) unless you take it 3 hours after your meds.
So, I went to Wallie and got some pasteurized egg whites in a carton for my morning shake. I used some coconut milk, fruit, ice, sweetener and made a very nommie calcium free shake. |

if you consistently drink a shake in the am, the doc can regulate your meds that way.
Im not sure that a bit of dairy will make that much difference, but a load of Calcium from supplements would. |

Ileen, I'm not consistent..LOL..
Some protein powders have alot of calcium in them, but the egg whites (Pasteurized) are easy..and no calcium. |
