The doctor's office called

They want to send me to specialist 120 miles away! The local doctor doesn't do the surgery anymore. We are the medical center for this part of the state so I'm surpried they want to sent me somewhere else. The test cannot say there is no cancer. I forgot to ask if it is Hasimotos. I'll go down one afternoon for an appointment and another day for the surgery.

Tell me about the surgery. Will it be day surgery or will I have to spend the night?

Even whit your support I'm a little freaked out!

They called back and have to sent some form to the doctor in Lubbock before they can schedule an appointment. My sleep study results also came back. My allerges were acting up that night and they had to give me oxygen thru my nose. The doctors office said I definitely need to go back for a cpap!

The thryroid problem could also be causing the hot flashes I've suddenly been having suddenly after 11 years after my hysterectomy!

I had my Thyroid (1/2) removed in March 09. Its a 24 hr stay. Wasn't as bad as all that.
Took about a week to feel normal. I now have to go in for the left side to be removed,
mine was cancer so they want it all gone and to do RAI. Im not too happy about it

I had to stay overnight when I had my thyroid removed. I felt a little weak the next day from the anesthesia, but felt great otherwise. I had no pain of any kind and felt so good the day after I left the hospital that I washed all of the upstairs windows in our house!

I picked up the records, xrays and scans for the local doctor today. Can't tell anything from the xrays, etc. Need to look at the blood tests before I ask any questions here. My total chlolesteral is now 180 after taking Crestor for several years.
