OTC progesterone cream and thyroid

Hi,
Since having my thryoid removed and a RAI treatment, I have been having hot flashes. No period for the last year or so (had an endometrial ablation a couple of years back). Just a couple of days ago, I tried some OTC progesterone cream. I had it a from maybe 2 years ago when I was having period issues and GYN said, I could try it, it wouldn't hurt. If I remember then, it didn't help. Well, I have had 2 good nights sleep, no sweats. Whether exhaustion, progesterone or placebo effect, I want to keep it up. Anyway, now with the thyroid stuff, meds, etc, will OTC progesterone interfere? I have my endo appt and annual GYN appt scheduled in mid-May.

You'll need Free T4 and Free T3, no exceptions now. It will bind the conversion and you'll probably have to have T3 upped, or both T4 and T3. Actually, it might work for a while and then you'll need some compounded stuff (it's more refined, no fillers, etc. and matched to your progesterone test results, call the pharmacies in your area, find which ones compound it and talk to the compounder, doesn't cost anything to get info .
