I don't know if anybody cares, but the way you have adjusted your two new ads on top of the screen, has really freaked me out to the point of not wanting to come here to post. It is offensive and disturbing to have these two new ads in your face everytime to come here to post, to read and to learn and share with one another. Can't you just have it appear in the old way small on top not so big that you have to scroll down half way to even get to the first actual part of the bb? I really am turned off and I have been a loyal poster and contributor for almost 3 years now. Sandy in Brooklyn

Like many others who have commented, the old size ads would suit me better. I won't complain, though, as at least these ads are just there. They don't blink, open a barrage of other popup ads, fill the tray so full it freezes up the computer or make me so furious shutting stuff down that I can't enjoy the board. I can live with these. (And at least these ads pertain to the subject at hand.)

Take five minutes at any site on about.com and you'll think this site is absolutely serene. In my opinion, this board is one of the best. Not only can you pick what you'd like to read, you don't get it in a digest format where half the people forget to delete the post they're replying to -- now THAT is scrolling half the day.

We're spoiled here. Hope you'll reconsider.

I've been here over two years too Sandy.

Remember the episodes with the dozens of pop-ups ? LOL !!
Lo and Dottie couldn't keep up with the complaints

The banner ads don't bother me, and I am used to them by now.

Some other sites have worse ads

I despise those ads that *crash* down in the middle of your screen when you're trying to read something

Edited to ad; This thread really belongs on the Playground or the
"Suggestions for the Webmaster" board.

You could also pm the Admins directly

If you go to the tv guide section of yahoo some animations come out promoting cartoon movies or soemthign. I HATE THAT

I'm not crazy about scrolling down to read, but don't think it's that big of a deal. I remember the pop ups and those almost drove me away! This site remains free to users due to the advertising and I can live with it.

well.. this site has to make money somehow.. and I guess it's better to have big ads than having to pay a fee to acess this site. and it sure beats having pop ups. so I'd rather stick with the huge ads than deal with either a fee or popups.. but hey, if it bothers you THAT much, then I guess you have to leave LOL.

Just remember the ads are what keep this site going. You are posting here for free. I noticed that they have changed the size of them since they first appeared. They are now wider and not as long so you don't have to scroll down quite so far.

I'm so thankful, grateful, appeciative to have access to this wonderful FREE support community. I don't care HOW MANY ads I have to scroll past to get to the good stuff.

It's not that hard to scroll down a little. It's just not that big of a deal to me.

Just get used to the change. It could be a lot worse.

I love this site! If it's helped you like it has me, I think you can get used to the way it's being paid for.
