new forum suggestion for low carb children
Could we have a forum that's dedicated to the under eighteens specifically? I haven't been able to find a good low carb kids forum anywhere on the web, and it seems like Low Carb Friends would be a great place for such a thing.
Thanks! |

Are you suggesting a forum where adults can discuss issues related to children's health? Or are you looking for a forum where children can come and discuss their own issues?
The reason I ask is because these are two totally different situations. We may be able to create a forum where adults can discuss children's health issues. However, if you are suggesting a forum where children (ages 13-17) can register to discuss their own health issues, then management and admins will need to discuss more thoroughly. Note: LCF does not allow children under age 13 to register as a member. |

for parents
Thanks for helping me clarify. What I personally need is a forum for parents. My son is 9. I haven't been able to find one centralized place online for my interests. Mostly what I have found is geared for adults who are low-carbing, or for parents of type I diabetic children, who don't seem to discuss low carb issues. But I believe most insulin resistant and diabetic children aim for less ambitious carb targets than many adults. I think there's a lot parents can do to support each other. Thanks.

We have created a Children's Health forum under Health Support Groups. This forum is now available to discuss all diet and health issues related to children under the age of 18.
