Paleo forum?
Paleo is arguably the hottest lower carb type of eating today. It's everywhere right now, with books and sites springing up even more than bacon, Rebecca Black and pedo bear memes.
It would absolutely benefit LCF to dedicate a forum to paleo and retain/bring in members--and it wouldn't hurt netrition's bottom line either. The forum's name could be Paleo/Primal Lifestyle for the best coverage. Disclaimer: I do not follow paleo, but with forums springing up everywhere, you guys should be capitalizing on the popularity of the plans out there right now. Yeah, it's basically the Hunter/Gatherer/Caveman diet with a new name.

You are. You just didn't know they renamed things to make them sexier and not feel...well, like what's already been around for years. I remember my son's doctor recommending a hunter/gatherer diet for him way back in then 90's. The principals haven't changed, just the name.

There really should be an area for Paleo. It and the Dukan diet are the "it" diets right now.

I'll throw in my two cents, too. Yes, there should be a forum for it.

Thank you for your suggestions. We are taking your request for a Paleo forum into consideration.
At this time, there are no plans to create a Dukan forum as the plan is too new and does not have enough following on LCF. When creating new forums on LCF, we take into consideration the number of active members participating in the plan and the amount of sustained interest in the plan. |

Kathy--that is great! Thank you so much for weighing in on the situation.
Just a thought, if I may: The vast, vast majority of the paleo folks are at other forums since there isn't paleo offered here, so you're not likely to find a mass grouping of paleolithic followers here waiting for a sub-forum. To bring them back would require a forum for their plan. It's kind of a chicken-egg conundrum. I understand your thoughts on the matter, but this might be one of those cases where the only way to get the paleo folks here is to offer what they need. Thank you, again, for considering this. |

Due to member requests and significant member participation, we've created a new forum under Weight Loss Plans so you can discuss Paleo, Primal, Caveman, and clean eating (limited or no processed foods) diet plans. Enjoy!
