How can you delete account?

Hi, I'm wondering how I can delete my account, or erase all my postings?

I have other accounts on other personal sites under this name..And my friend just told me she googled it and this came up, and she could read all my struggles, weight, personal information, etc. This is quite embarrassing, and very frustrating.

Help?

Another question, can I change 'refbacks' (I see it says it on the bottom of the page) to make it unsearchable?

Why not contact the admins and ask them to change your name? That way you can still post here, but it won't be associated with a name you use in other places.

If you google my user name it comes up but less than 1/4 of the posts are actually me.

Also, your name can STILL be associated with your account IF you don't delete the posts that are for you in a text message.

It will show your new name that is associated w/ your old so make sure when you do a search for your name that those links are deleted as well.

I'm a MOD (another fitness bb) and the format is the same as this and I'm pretty sure it's the same.

I'm all over google with my name....hmmm...I might get the admins to change mine, too.

Then again...you'd have to weed out a lot of the garbage from google. LOL

also, never tell your friend your screen name because it could come back to "haunt" you if you want nothing more to do with this person. an exfriend turned into a stalker and searched my name on the 'net and then had the nerve to send to me in email.

I use lots of different names. I never post my real name. I don't post my email, and seldom post my real location. Posting a photo of me is a big step. My online telephone number is usually a variation of 111-111-1111.

I've been active on the internet since the early-/mid- 90s and have always felt that whatever I say or email is public knowledge in perpetuity.

Even if you "delete" your account, it's still in cyberspace.
