Animated avatar?

I tried to upload an animated holiday avatar, but couldn't. Can I use an animated avatar, and if so what am I doing wrong? Thanks for all answers.

animated images can be uploaded as avatars, but those are often larger file sizes and may be too large based on what we allow:

Avatar Maximum Width (pixels): 200
Avatar Maximum Height (pixels): 150
Avatar Maximum File Size (bytes): 30,000
