New Forum for Recommended Reading?

Hey everyone,

With all the posts lately recommending so many great-sounding books about low carb, cholesterol, whole foods, etc., I was wondering if it would be a neat idea to start a new forum for recommended reading. The title of a thread could be a book title, and people who've read it can offer their "reviews." Maybe we could even start a book exchange that way...

We could even include informative articles. I've seen so many on these boards -- about triglycerides, cholesterol, scales, good fats, etc.

I'm not sure what would be involved in the caveats -- making sure everyone understands that we are not doctors, but are simply posting links to articles we've seen elsewhere, and that we are not offering medical advice, but making interesting information available to everyone, from which they can pick and choose what they feel would be best for them.

I'm not sure how to contact the administrators about this, or if it's even a good idea or not. What do you guys think? (I just think it would be nice to have a place where all the good reading is consolidated and easily searchable.)

-Amy

I'm not really sure

I LIKE IT!!! I love reading stuff that will educate me and I have a ton of subscribed threads just because I don't want to lose the article and book references.

We do have a Suggestions Forum here (that most people use instead of the Help desk )
It would be nice ... if ... people could restrain themselves from diagnosing and treating.
