is it possible to "unsend" them?

ETA:

I am thinking there have been a couple of times I have PMed someone, realized I wanted to add something so have to send a second PM...It would be good if I could just unsend it, fix it, and send it again.

Im guessing that you cant do that at this time but it is a good suggestion for the webmaster.
