how do I get an avatar with my own photo?

I just joined and I was wondering how I get my avatar with my own photo? thanks!

go to user control panel and click on edit avatar...........its in the left hand column

If you need help you can always send me your picture and I can crop and resize it for you and can put it in... Just let me know..
